Former OMNIUM GATHERUM vocalist Antti Filppu has sent the following statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET regarding his departure from the group
"Nothing dramatic, just wanted to correct an error concerning my departure from OMNIUM GATHERUM. I did not leave the band. They wanted to continue without me, and there were no negotiations about it. Nobody asked me, they simply told me I'm out. Even though this is perfectly fine, I saw no crisis with the OMNIUM GATHERUM future like the other members saw, I would have been very glad to be a part of it."
OMNIUM GATHERUM are currently writing and demoing material for their new album, tentatively due late 2006/early 2007 via an as-yet-undetermined label. The band, who were previously signed to Nuclear Blast Records, recorded a five-song pre-production demo at Woodbine Garden studio in Pyhtää, Finland in January containing the tracks "City Red Light", "Remember The Frozen", "Neither Dead Nor Alive", "My Hands Were Tied" and "Das Wegrecht".
OMNIUM GATHERUM's latest album "Years in Waste", was released in the U.S. in March 2005 via Nuclear Blast.
Philadelphia hardcore outfit Blacklisted are currently in search of a new second guitarist. Candidates should have tour experience, reliable equipment, a flexible schedule, and a driver's license. Interested parties should contact the band via their MySpace page.

The Associated Press has issued the following report:
In the three years since The Station nightclub disaster, the relatives of the 100 people killed have clustered together for memorials at the roadside fire site and mourned alone in cemeteries.
But they have never had a chance to share their pain in open court in front of the man whose pyrotechnics sparked the blaze.
That opportunity will come this week as Daniel Biechele is sentenced in an unusual three-day hearing, starting Monday, that is expected to showcase emotionally wrenching testimonials from the victims' families. The dead included eight people who lived and worked in Connecticut.
Biechele, 29, was tour manager for the rock band GREAT WHITE when he set off a flashy display during a Feb. 20, 2003 concert, igniting a fire that swiftly enveloped a crowded nightclub and devastated the tiny state.
Biechele will be sentenced under a plea deal Wednesday to serve up to 10 years in prison, and prosecutors are recommending the maximum possible term. His lawyers are asking for community service instead of jail time.
Biechele was to have been the first of three men charged in the fire to stand trial. Instead, he became the first to accept responsibility by pleading guilty in February to 100 counts of involuntary manslaughter.
Jeffrey and Michael Derderian, who owned the West Warwick club, each face 200 counts of involuntary manslaughter and are accused of installing the flammable soundproofing foam that fueled the flames.

Invocation Of Nehek has called it quits. The Connecticut group released one album with Prosthetic records. Guitarist Robb Cyr comments:
"Over the last 5 years ION has had so many great experiences, and we have met so many awesome people, and we are truly grateful for all of it, we sadly have come to a point where it was just time to move on. Although this is a sad moment for us, we know that it is best. When this band started it was meant just meant to be something fun to do on weekends, ION exceeded all of our expectations, trust me you don't name a band 'Invocation of Nehek' and expect to get a record deal or tour the country. We are all still great friends, and will support each other in any new projects. Keep your eyes peeled because you certainly haven't seen the last of all us. We'd like to thank everyone that we have met along the way and that has helped us out in some way shape or form. It was an amazing experience that we will never forget."
The band will play one final show on June 10th at the Sons of Italy in Torrington CT with Necrosis and Wrenchintheworks, among others.
