"From January to March, we took our time for the new song-writing. Because of the appearance of Axel (Ritt; guitar), we finally returned to the virtue, that we've lost that long ago. The triumvirate of metal, Jens Becker (bass), Axel Ritt and Chris Boltendahl (vocals) battened in harmony while the whole songwriting session and created 12 explosive songs, which have the spirit of Grave Digger, two-hundred percent! Since the days of Tunes Of War and The Grave Digger, the creativity around the songwriting process hadn't been that easy going. More...

We've been talking to bands and fans everywhere to get their favorite mosh pit stories. This week’s story comes from Joe Henley of Taiwanese death metal band Revilement:
On March 20th, 2010, my band, Revilement, was playing Asia Metal Festival in Seoul, Korea, which was headlined by Graveworm. During the headliner's set, I saw a pit move I've never witnessed before in all my years of going to shows both as a fan and a performer. A kid, all of 15 years old and 90 pounds, pretended to pass out, which caused crowd around him to back off to give him some air and some space. Then, another, much larger man, ran up, picked him up by the ankles, and swung him around in a circle by his feet like they were a heavy metal figure skating duo. There you have it, pit maneuvers now involve elaborate choreography. I think the most appropriate name for this move is "The Helicopter." If anyone else has seen something like this please let me know, because it was definitely a first for me. Hopefully I'll see a double-rotor at some point in the future.
Revilement recently welcomed new guitarist Tony D (Blood Orange, The Freeloaders) to their line-up. You can check out some of the band's music on their MySpace page.
Check back every Tuesday for more pit stories.

We hope you enjoy the episode, and every one of you who has attended one of the show of our Beastfest Tour, thank you again, we had such a blast! Until the next episode of ctv……"

Seattle's Drawn and Quartered has checked in with the following announcement about recording a new album:
"Drawn and Quartered are back at the Autopsy Room recording tracks for our next full length release. The sessions have gone splendidly so far, with the completion of drum and rhythm guitar tracks for 11 songs. We've spent more than two years developing the music and rehearsing these songs. The Ancient Ones have also channeled more inspirations in the studio as we crystallized the foundations for the forth coming recordings. Included in the new set is the song 'Conquerors of Sodom,' a demo version of this song appears on the forthcoming Compilation of the Condemned 7" on Relapse Records, over two years in the making, but this is looking Awesome! On August 15 2010, Drawn and Quartered will make its first live appearance in over two years with Deceased and Rumplestiltskin Grinder, at EL Corazon, we'll definitely be unleashing some of the new stuff!
"So, we were working on some pre-production demos of the new material, and got as far as the rhythms, and realized we should just get started recording the songs at the Autopsy Room with Jesse, like we've done since 2003. We've all continued to refine our skills, acquire new gear, rehearsed constantly with a click track, and figure it's time to do it. The demos were coming out good, but we want to do this project justice and the tracks we've recorded so far have exceeded all expectations. The sounds can be described as 'ominous,' 'menacing,' 'evil,' 'dark' and of course 'brutal.' That's all for now!"
