Psycho Charger has posted the new video for "I Eat The Dead." "I Eat the Dead" is a song that Psycho Charger recorded for the Cannibal Flesh Riot! DVD/CD Combo. XTREEM MUSIC has announced the signing of Spanish old school thrash metal newcomers AGGRESSION!! The recent release of their debut mini CD, "Thrashing Your Brain," took the Spanish scene by storm and shows a killer band that has something great to offer in the future. This 6-songs EP was recorded at AXtudios which secured them a superb production and this immediately gained the attention from XTREEM MUSIC who immediately offered them a 2-album deal.
AGGRESSION is now writing new songs for what will be their debut full lentgh album scheduled for a late 2008 release.
Three of the songs from the MCD "Thrashing Your Brain" are available for listening on the band's MySpace page.
Hatebreed has tapped the Vinnie Paul (Hellyeah, Damageplan, Pantera) to produce, document, and record Hatebreed live during their Dallas, TX show at the Palladium Ballroom on May 27th.
Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta comments: "We can't even begin to explain how excited we are to be recording our live album with Vinnie Paul! It's a great honor and privilege to be working with him on this. Vinnie knows his shit and doesn't fuck around! He's the man to get us the massive live tones we need to make this a special release. This is not just a live CD, this is live in Texas, where everything is bigger and badder! We're also going to be shooting some video footage for a short bonus DVD that will be like a mini-movie about the who, the what, the how and the why behind this whole project, so stay tuned and we'll see you at the show! Be ready to lose your mind and your voice!"
Vinnie Paul also commented, saying: "I am extremely excited to be producing, recording and documenting Hatebreed for their LIVE CD from Dallas, Texas! After touring with them and being personal friends with them for years, I know first-hand what a brutal and energetic band they are and how die-hard their fans are. I plan on capturing that energy and brutality live and then some!"
Former Ankla front-man Ikaro Stafford has been in the studio with his new band Imbyra lately. Their debut album "I Now Proclaim" is expected to be released later this year. You can check out some of their material on their PureVolume page.
Guelph, Ontario based grind/hardcore act Drudgery has signed with Year of the Sun Records for the release of their upcoming debut EP, "Rust." Drudgery is the new project spearheaded by drummer Matt Connell (Ex-Fuck The Facts, Exhumed) and also features Steve Ferraro, formerly of Dear Black Diary.
"This band started as a side project back in 2006 and we wound up with a collection of tunes we were all really stoked on," comments Connell. "We've had this tracked for a while now, and we're glad to have it done and for people to hear it."
"When listening to Drudgery you really get that raw old school vibe and it shows on this record" states label head Chris Benn. "When the band approached me with the 'Rust' recording, everything about it was straight up and in your face. From the tracks right down to the artwork, you could tell it was a no nonsense kind of record."
Drudgery's debut EP was recorded at Frozen Solid Sound in Guelph, Ontario under the eye of producer Matt Connell. The group has posted new tracks online at the band's MySpace page.

Syracuse, New York based metal band, Architect, have entered the studio. They have issued the following update about the new album currently under production:
"We are currently at MORE SOUND STUDIOS in Syracuse NY. Recording our 2nd full length with Jason "Jocko" Randall at the helm. It will be called GHOST OF THE SALTWATER MACHINES". This 10 song behemoth will be released in late summer/early fall on BLACKMARKETACTIVITIES/METAL BLADE Records. The art is being handled by our good friend Alex Eckman-Lawn. "
Finnish hard rockers Hanoi Rocks have posted the following update:
"(We) are finally announcing their new drummer! Hailing from Sweden, the new member is George Atlagic, nicknamed "Jolle" among friends. More than 200 drummers applied and five of them were invited to audition with the band. George Atlagic stood out from the five candidates, not only for his talent, but also because of his personality and for being a kindred spirit with the band. Jolle is technically a very skillful drummer and his style is greatly in the vein of the former Hanoi Rocks drummers, Gyp Casino and Razzle. He also already looked like he was playing in a successful rock band."
German death thrashers, Commander, will be touring as support for UNLEASHED on their "Hammer Battalion Europe 2008" Tour. Other support acts are Krisiun and One Man Army and the Undead Quartet.

New York metalcore band, Heal These Wounds, have parted ways with drummer Scott Rogers.
The band has issued the following statement regarding the situation, “We are sad to see him go. He will always be a part of HTW, and more importantly he will always be our friend. This decision was based only on creative differences and nothing more. Scott is a great guy and we will all miss sharing the stage with him.” More...
Swedish death metal band, Souldrainer, have posted a new demo song, Fed By Fire, on their MySpace page.
The band discusses the recording process, "Our garage demo recording really turned out well. We recorded everything live at our rehearsal space and the result was really kicking large butts! Ronnie Björnström from Enhanced Audio Productions mixed it for us and it's awesome.”
Norwegian death thrashers Pica Fierce have released a new song on their MySpace page. The song, entitled “New Beginning,” is the last track off the band’s self titled debut-album.
Australian death metallers, Aeturnus Dominion, have parted ways with drummer Paul Ibbotson. The band has issued the following statement regarding his departure:
"Yeah you read it right, Paul has left Aeturnus Dominion and will play his last gig with the band next month on the 14th June and as such we require a drummer to continue moving forward..."
"Until this stage though all other booking we had are canceled until a suitable drummer has been located."
Rob Zombie has posted the following brief message:
ROB ZOMBIE has issued the following update:
"Well, we have for the first time ever written more songs than we need for an album. Everything isn't 100% finished, but everything is moving along great. No release date yet."
Rob Zombie's new movie, The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto, is expecting a release sometime this year.
Dutch female fronted metal band, Morning, have announced the signing to Snakebite Records and Renaissance Records for their new album, "Moments of Truth."
The band describes the deals, "For the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, Morning signed a deal with Snakebite Records (Mennen, Zinatra, Medea), who will release the album on the 3rd of September.'
"'Moments of Truth' will be released on the 16th of September by Renaissance Records (Die So Fluid, Skylark, La Ventura, RubyQ) in North- and South-America."
Italian Gothic metal band Lacuna Coil has cancelled the previously announced June 2008 tour in Australia and rescheduled for 2009. The band issued the following statement on their MySpace:
"Hello to all of our Australian friends! Please accept our most sincere apologies for taking so long to give you an official statement regarding our planned tour of Australia this June.Due to matters completely beyond our control, the tour has unfortunately been cancelled. However, we are thrilled to announce that we will be coming back to Australia this coming February to perform at the SOUNDWAVE 2009 FESTIVAL! We love Australia, and can't wait to rock with all of our amazing friends down under again!"
Lacuna Coil is also working on a DVD, which is tentatively planned to be released later this year. The band has stated that the DVD "will be a retrospective of all things from the band’s Karmacode album cycle. It will be including promotional videos, spectacularly remixed pro-shot festival appearances, behind-the-scenes travel documentaries and home videos - and a few other fan-friendly surprises! "
