Ministry mainman Al Jourgensen recently sat down for a lengthy video interview with MP3.com. Filmed in Al's hotel room on the eve of the band's final performance in San Francisco, the chat centers on the end of Jourgensen's long-running band, and what, exactly, he plans to fill his time with post-Ministry. Aside from a cameo from Al's dogs, Ozzy and Lemmy, the interview features some typically candid Bush bashing, and plenty of discussion about Jourgensen and company's recently released Cover Up collection, and the forthcoming Revolting Cocks record.
Ministry's final ever world tour - the appropriately-dubbed C U LaTouR - is winding down, propelling Al and his band toward their final gig ever, on May 10th at the House of Blues in Chicago. Along for the ride are Swedish tech metal behemoth Meshuggah and Hemlock.

In the tradition of the legendary "Cry Now, Cry Later" compilations of the 90's, PIG DESTROYER / AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED's Scott Hull has brought together some of the very best of today's underground grindcore, hardcore, and power violence bands for volume one of "This Comp Kills Fascists."
"This Comp Kills Fascists" features new and exclusive material from such bands as recently disbanded INSECT WARFARE, MAGRUDERGRIND, KILL THE CLIENT, WEEKEND NACHOS, A.S.R.A, and more. "This Comp Kills Fascists" also includes the first new material in almost ten years from legendary grinders BRUTAL TRUTH and AGENTS OF SATAN.
Hull says of the compilation: "There are a lot of killer young bands out there with the same kind of vibe that was around back when Chris Dodge was doing Slap-a-Ham and Fiesta Grande was the all-important mecca to which every underground hardcore listener would make a pilgrimage every year. It was a lot different back then. There was no MySpace. No Ebay. You actually had tapes and 7-inches that you found out about in photo copied fanzines. You had to hunt this shit down. It was about discovery. You'd seek out some obscure split or tape, and when you got them, a million small flyers for other releases fell out of the package. If you were a band, you didn't have photoshop. Kinko's was vital to your band's existence and you learned how to tear out logos, steal artwork, cut, paste, cut, paste..." "I don't pretend to be any kind of grand poobah for power violence, but it absolutely had its own sound, attitude, values...it was it's own scene. And it seems there are both a lot of bands from the day that are coming back (Despise You, Apartment 213, Crom), that never left (Lack of Interest, Hellnation), and a LOT of younger bands that are re-invigorating that scene altogether. This comp is generally about a theme, but somewhat spread across PV, grind, and other hardcore elements. It's supposed to be a tribute to the way the underground hardcore scene should always be. Fast, loose, ferociously independent, unpretentious, and fun."
"This Comp Kills Fascists" will see its North American release on July 8th, July 14th internationally.

Chicago doomsters TROUBLE have issued the following:
"Amidst many rumors it has been announced earlier today that Kory Clarke of WARRIOR SOUL will be the new frontman, effective immediately.
The news comes as the band returns to their Chicago homes following a successful European Tour.
Trouble founder/guitarist Rick Wartell explains: "It was a mutual agreement, you need to follow your heart in this business and if you are not into it 100% then it is time to move on. We all felt it was the best thing for all parties involved. There are no hard feelings. I'm sure Eric (Wagner) will continue making music and we wish him the best."
He went on to say, "We are very excited to have Kory step in and take over the vocals for Trouble. He's been one of my favorite frontmen in this industry for many years. He will add a new dimension that we can use. It's not like we just picked out some guy to fill in, this is one of rock's most dynamic and creative frontmen in the industry. I know that when Trouble fans get a taste of what Kory does, they will not be disapointed at all. Anyone who has seen Kory with Warrior Soul already knows what to expect, and it's awesome."
Miami-based metallers Black Tide are proud to announce their upcoming European tour schedule. The band will play throughout Europe in the month of June, appearing at Germany’s Rock Am Ring, France’s Hellfest, Italy’s Gods of Metal, and the UK’s Download Fest.
Black Tide’s bassist Zakk Sandler comments: “We are totally stoked to be heading back to Europe in June for the summer festivals. We can't even believe that we are on the bill with such amazing bands all over the continent. From Judas Priest to Iron Maiden and Avenged Sevenfold, we are just in complete awe. We're looking forward to seeing another part of the world and seeing fans in Italy, Spain, Germany, and a ton of other places. This is gonna be the best summer ever!” More...
To begin with, Korpiklaani was not present for this leg of the Paganfest tour, and it’s nothing short of a tragedy that North Americans had to miss out on the Forest Clan for this event.
Eluveitie was also not in attendance, supposedly because they didn’t file the proper paperwork with the Canadian customs in a timely fashion, so Gwynbleidd was on hand to fill in as an opener at the Medley in Montreal, Quebec. These New Yorkers weren’t quite as folksy as their Scandinavian counterparts, yet they offered a melancholic, progressive metal – slow, dark material, somewhat similar to High On Fire, and they set the stage quite nicely for Tyr.
Tyr looked the same as ever, long-haired and bare-chested, and they treated the crowd to a song from their newest album, “Land”. Fans were pleased to see “Hail to the Hammer” and the Faroese “Ramund Hin Unge” get some play, as well as “Wings of Time”. Unfortunately, their set was cut mercilessly short after a few songs, and they were replaced by Turisas. It is safe to say, even among the crazy Ensiferum fans, that Turisas stole the show that night. They swept up the crowd into the palm of their head and collectively placed it in their pocket. More...
Bay Area thrash gods Testament will be at Fords, New Jersey's Vintage Vinyl store on August the 1st at 6pm. Wristbands can be aquired by puchasing the bands new album "The Formation Of Damntion" at the store.
Guitarist Rob Cavestany of DEATH ANGEL recently checked in from the “In Thrash We Trust Tour” with GOD FORBID, SOILENT GREEN and LIGHT THIS CITY:
“First night of the ‘In Thrash We Trust Tour’, right on the heels of our European Tour, and we are ready to kick ass for another month straight! It feels great to finally be out on the road again man; almost like a weight has been lifted off our backs. We had a lot of problems getting out their for ‘The Art of Dying’ and now it’s time to make up for those lost moments in time. Seeing the look on our fans faces, and hearing them scream their lungs out night after night is the best feeling in the world, and we’ve been away from that for too long. Anyone that comes to a DEATH ANGEL show knows that we love to play live and we welcome everyone to share that incredible feeling with us. We are stronger than we’ve ever been and now is the time to see us more than ever! See you all out there on the road! ‘Killing Season’ has begun!”

On January 8th 2008, From Autumn To Ashes performed a benefit show at Looney Tunes record store in their hometown area of Long Island, NY and recorded the show for fans that attended the performance. Now the disc will get a wide release on June 17th through Vagrant.
"13 years ago I went to Looney Tunes and found a selection of local independent music that I had been unfamiliar with until I saw it on their shelves," said singer, songwriter, and drummer Francis Mark. "This opened up a new world to me. I was just getting into some of the nationally recognized hardcore bands of the time but I didn't realize there was such a scene in my own backyard. People would leave stacks of flyers by the front door and it became a way for me to find out about local shows. I think a good local music scene is made possible not only by the bands and a decent all-ages venue, but also by a solid indie music store. I'm happy to have done something to give back to a place that helped mold me into the person I am today."
The 10-track disc features songs from the band's entire catalog, including their latest, "Holding A Wolf By The Ears." The full track listing is below.
Fans that attended the show can bring their pre-order slips into Looney Tunes (31 Brookvale Ave., West Babylon, NY 11704) later this week to pick up the finished disc weeks before the actual street date. Looney Tunes will exclusively sell the disc both in-store and online beginning this week, as well. More...
"Murder The Dance," the sophomore album for Oklahoma City’s BLEED THE SKY, is set for release in North America on June 10th. The track listing is as follows:
1. Knife Fight In A Phone Booth
3. Murder The Dance
4. The Sleeping Beauty
6. Occam’s Razor
9. Kettle Black
11. The Demons That Could Be
12. Vertical Smile
Produced and engineered by Christian Olde Wolbers, mixed by Ben Schigel at Spider Studios, and mastered by Matt Rosebery at Skin Deep Studios, BLEED THE SKY lead vocalist Noah Robinson gives a little insight into the recording process:
“Our inspiration for this album was listening to all the stuff we grew up on. During every part of this recording, we had some sort of drink in our hand. We wanted to be relaxed and comfortable. We're finally putting out the record that nearly killed us. This is exactly what we wanted to do from the beginning, but we just weren't really sure how. We wanted to make the end-all, be-all record, and I think we accomplished that. Everything on this album is blood, sweat, and tears, even the hidden track. The first part of it are voicemails that somebody left us, and the second part was kind of last minute. When you hear it, you can tell. It was played on Quincy Jones’ piano at Westlake Studios in Beverly Hills. Bottom line, we can't wait to hit the road again and show everyone the new BLEED THE SKY!!! ” More...
