Earth Crisis has announced the new album "Neutralize the Threat" is set for a July 12th release date. The band also teamed with artist Ryan Clark to create the artwork, which can be viewed below. Ryan had the following to say:
"Earth Crisis was a seminal band for me. When I was introduced to hardcore, EC was a band that seemed to stand out from the rest. Their unique blend of metal and hardcore made me an instant fan. I remember many EC shows in the mid nineties, climbing atop the crowd, pointing at Karl, screaming 'Street by street! Block by block!'
"These guys are partly responsible for what I've been doing with my life for the past 15+ years, so when I was asked to create the artwork for their 2011 record, I naturally jumped at the chance. Not only were they absolutely great to work with, but they've still got it- Neutralize is a flat-out SICK record."

Liv Kristine of Leaves' Eyes has checked in with following tour update:
"Dear fans & friends, I can't believe that four weeks of touring is almost over, which means that there are only two more up-coming shows of this tour; today is Bochum, tomorrow the grand final in Hannover. Our last night will be very special, as Tarja and I already have been rehearsing and preparing a magic musical moment for our fans and friends attending the final show of the German tour leg.
"Touring through the summer-like Europe with first Midnattsol /Serenity and then Tarja has been such a pleasure with many unforgettable moments. I was so happy to meet my sister Carmen and Midnattsol at Durbuy Rock in Belgium last week-end. After two great gigs, the night ended for some of the crew and band members in the bubble-bath at the hotel. Yesterday the band members and crews of Leaves Eyes and Tarja had a day off. Some of us spent the day in the sauna, some of us slept through the whole day, which we all deserved!
"At night I was very happy to meet with Tarja in Bochum's city centre for some pasta and sharing stories and deep moments that have taken place throughout our careers. We have very much in common, and Tarja is such a sweetheart! I hope from the bottom of my heart that Leaves Eyes and Tarja will be sharing stage and highway again soon. See you all in Bochum and Hannover! Love, Liv."

"Born from a shared passion for metal music in all its forms, Cardiff-based band Hunted began life as a four-piece covering the bands that first inspired them to play.

"Having begun to cement a fierce live reputation on the British gig circuit, they also received an excellent response from several early demo releases, leading to further exposure and further massively well-received shows.
"Taking influences ranging from Dream Theater and Iron Maiden through to Opeth and Blind Guardian, Hunted distil the essence of their inspirations into a new and powerful direction for metal music. With their heavily anticipated debut full-length - scheduled to be released on July 29, 2011 via Massacre Records - they aim to take their unique sound and blistering live shows to new heights and new audiences everywhere."

Modesto, California's Better Left Unsaid is currently on the Hed To Head Tour II supporting Hed(pe) and Mushroomhead and has provided Metalunderground.com with an exclusive tour blog from the road:
I am sure you are ready for one hell of a tour blog from a little known metal band from Modesto, California… Hell, most of you have no idea who we are, much less the town we are from! That being said, I am going to give this a shot…
We, Better Left Unsaid, have been on the Hed To Head Tour II for the past month and are 30 days from even coming close to home. The tour, sponsored by Jagermeister and co-headlined by Mushroomhead and HedPE has taken us across the country and does not let up until we end back in LA on June 10th. I am actually writing you from a shitty hotel room in Allentown, Pennsylvania on a much needed day off. The shittier the room, the better, because it just adds to the stories we all tell our friends when we get back home. No worries Allentown, we have stayed in plenty of shitty hotels along this tour, and even shadier truck stops and parking lots. So no hard feelings…
The tour has taken us across America and has been nothing short of amazing. We have had the opportunity to play venues and cities that we have only dreamed of until now. Not to mention the guys in Mushroomhead and HedPE have been great and we can’t thank them enough for making us a part of this tour! We have played for sold out crowds, and we have also played for crowds better fit for a funeral, but we are not going to mention any names to protect the innocent ;) We can tell you this, most of the crowds have been absolutely insane and we can’t thank them enough for making each night worthwhile. Having fans of both Mushroomhead and HedPE embrace your music is gratifying on many levels and we appreciate all the love and support!
Make sure you check out the tour dates on our website www.betterleftunsaidmusic.com, and if you have the time and money, come out to a show! See you on the road... - Better Left Unsaid

Australian progressive hard rock act Dead Letter Circus has announced that it has signed with Sumerian Records. The label will be re-releasing the band's latest full length "This Is The Warning" on July 26, 2011. The band commented on joining Sumerian by saying:
"We’re all super pumped about our recent signing with Sumerian Records. Their passion for the project was undeniable and really made us feel at home. The release of the record in the United States marks the next stage in our career and we can’t wait to unleash This Is The Warning to the American rock fans.
"Thematically, This is the Warning is a first person account of awakening to the construct that has been put in place in an attempt to control and mold us. However, it’s also about refusing to be a subject of it and forging your own path. We are part of the next wave of bands that grew up listening to rock bands like Tool, Deftones, Soundgarden, Radiohead, Pearl Jam etc., as well as electronic acts like Massive Attack, NIN and UNKLE. While we don’t sound like a mash up of these bands, they have all definitely infused our minds with a love for writing epic, layered and high energy songs.
"The great thing about this genre of music is knowing you are part of the soundtrack to the more intense moments in people’s lives, but ultimately what we live for is the connection and transferral of energy from the live show. Our experience here in Australia is that the songs seem to have resonated with people to a level where it feels like a toe-to-toe standoff between us and the crowd, both seeing who can scream the song the loudest at each other. We are really pumped about taking this to the U.S. and giving a little back for all the amazing music your country has delivered us."
German metalcore act Caliban has posted its new music video online for the track "Walk Like The Dead." The song is taken off of the band's 2009 release "Say Hello To Tragedy." You can view the video in the player below.

"The reason we love this title is because we feel that we are so lucky to be able to be doing this, and having an opportunity to put our music out there is honestly the closest thing to heaven we have on this earth. It’s a like a dream. We love all our fans and hope to see you all at the Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival this summer! This is the beginning of a long, crazy and yet beautiful ride."
