Indonesian death metal band Antithesis has finally dropped its debut album "Subjugator of Machine" via Breeding Records. The entire forty minute album is streaming below. Antithesis formed in 2010 in Tangerang, Indonesia - releasing the two song demo "Spartan" the following year. They then appeared on the 2012 "Distortion in the World" compilation before putting out this year's eight-song debut.
German slam band Acranius is streaming its entire twelve-song debut "When Mutation Becomes Homicidal," which is posted below. The album was just dropped via Rising Nemesis Records, with 2013 seeing Acranius booked for the Slamming Brutality Vol. 2 in Aschaffenburg, Germany on November 23rd with the likes of Chordotomy.
Acranius released its first six song-EP of Baltic Sea brutality "The Echo Of Her Cracking Chest" through Rising Nemesis Records at the end of 2010, which featured Marty of Kraanium on the mic for the track "Shanty Town's Hooker."
Danish death metal mercenaries Panzerchrist are releasing their seventh album, aptly entitled "The 7th Offensive," on July 15th via Listenable Records. This album follows the previous and highly acclaimed 2011 release, "Regiment Ragnarok."
Panzerchrist used three different studios to complete its new assault. Guitars and bass were recorded in the Igloo by HR Swan, drums were recorded at AMP studio by Jens Förster and Markus Ziemer, and vocals and the final mix were done in Death Island Studio with engineer Marco Angioni.
Although very extreme musically on a constant basis, Panzerchrist has never quite done the same album twice. "The 7th Offensive" shows a slightly more melodic and evil approach to the guitars; enhancing the grey, sinister feel of a battlefield. The band's intended bleak sound was without a doubt achieved. The album also sees Panzerchrist return to the ultra-guttural and pure death metal styled vocals.
Make no mistake, Panzerchrist's new album retains the violence and über-brutality the band has been known for. As the band says, "The war is over, let's start a new one, death forever, Panzer!" Stream new track "Dogger Dead" below after the tracklisting, or over at the soundcloud site.

"Angst," the second full-length from Madrid-based experimental extreme metal trio Hybrid, is now available through Deepsend Records. Hybrid was born in 2004 with the intention of setting up an unorthodox extreme music project without self-impossed limits.
The band recorded Beyond Undeniable Entropy in 2005 as a presentation, a six song debut MCD of avant-garde, eclectic and technical metal, released the next year by Deadwrong Records, which got a great response within the underground scene. Stream this entire sophomore album from the band in its entirety below, or over at bandcamp.
In the beginning of 2007 Hybrid entered Sadman Studio to record its first full length album "The 8th Plague," mastered by Alan Douches (Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan) and with artwork by Seldon Hunt (Neurosis, Isis), which was released by London-based label Eyesofsound (Bossk, Yakuza) in August 2008. "The 8th Plague" received an outstanding reception worldwide, as it was selected one of the best albums of the year in several specialized media.
After playing live with bands like Tool and Cephalic Carnage, Hybrid went back to the studio in 2011 and recorded its sophomore album "Angst," settling their unique approach to the genre while taking their sound one step further in terms of creative freedom.
Death metal pioneers Master have inked a deal with German extreme music label FDA Rekotz for the band's landmark 12th full-length album, which is scheduled for a late September release. Master's legendary founder and frontman, Paul Speckmann, commented, "We are proud to be working with Rico and FDA and look forward to a solid future together.Watch for the next masterpiece to be unleashed on September 27th, 2013." FDA Rekotz has posted a video teaser for the upcoming album, which is posted below.
After releasing "The New Elite" last year to widespread critical acclaim, Speckmann and Master waged war on false metal across the world with an ambitious string of dates that saw the band ravage audiences across Europe and North America. As the saying goes, there is no rest for the wicked, and Master is back in action for the True Underground Warriors Tour with Entrapment, bookended by select European festival dates. After the many trials and tribulations that befell the manifestation of an upcoming new album, Man's Gin has finally completed work on “Rebellion Hymns." The album is now due out June 25th via Profound Lore. The record label comments:
"Helmed by Cobalt multi-instrumentalist Erik Wunder, who initially conceived Man's Gin ten or so years ago in Colorado prior to moving to Brooklyn, 'Rebellion Hymns' comes across as a much more epic, sprawling, darker and heavier opus than the band’s 'Smiling Dogs' debut.
"Where 'Smiling Dogs' presented itself as an ode to barren American landscapes and as hymns paying homage to the bottle, 'Rebellion Hymns' is a more diversified and devastating output where the bleak reality of wasteland America hits even harder and serves as the backdrop to the band’s brand of murder balladry, American goth-like booze hymns. Overall, 'Rebellion Hymns' is a desolate yet epic musical jaunt that will carry you to the moment where the breaking point of innocence lies.
"Alongside Erik Wunder and his bandmates Joshua Lozano and Scott Edward, all who play a wide array of instruments on this, 'Rebellion Hymns' also features notable guest appearances by Jarboe (ex-Swans), Bruce Lamont (Yakuza), John Lamacchia (Candiria), and Wunder’s co-conspirator in Cobalt Phil McSorley." Propagated by sound manipulator/engineer/former robotics major Tristan Shone, Author & Punisher relentlessly challenges the traditional principals of doom, industrial, and heavy bass music.

Describes Shone: “‘Women & Children’ is a sullen voyage from the beginning to the end of time, from primordial bliss to devastating chaos. That's how it feels to me anyway." More...

After the death of the band's bassist "Moritifier" last month, Polish act Hate has announced the group will remain active and has confirmed a string of festival appearances for the summer.
These dates will be in support of latest album "Solarflesh" (reviewed here). Currently announced shows are available below, and the band also comments:
"We would like you to know that we have decided to continue with the band and keep on doing our job as always. There is still a big hole in our hearts, but we do not want to focus on mourning over the tragedy. Instead we decide to focus on the band and keeping it alive as well as all the ideas we shared with Mortifer.
"We treat what we do as a mission and we cannot see the end of it. On some shows to come we will be accompanied by Mortifer’s wife Alexandra on bass guitar. She has been in the business for some time and been involved in a few Russian bands before. As an experienced musician, she will undoubtedly manage on the stage with us.
"On other shows we will be joined by Piotr Kolakowski (Neyra), a talented musician who had previously been on stage with us as a session musician. The festivals below have been confirmed, but there are more to come soon."

The debut release "Luonnon Voima" from the one man German ambient black metal project Lebensnacht is available as a free download via the Naturmacht Productions Bandcamp page. You can also stream the release below.
Lebensnacht's second full-length album titled "Syksyn Kulominen" will be released on CD and as a digital download via Naturmacht Productions on July 30th, 2013. The band comments:
"The idea appeared because 'Luonnon Voima' is my first album and naturally the songwriting and sound are yet improvable as I had to learn and have to learn yet many things. It is still worth to not be forgotten and is an important step in the history of Lebensnacht. So a free download release, where you can set a price after your liking, is the best way to make it public without costs and risks for anybody.
"Syksyn Kulominen, though is in all matters better then Luonnon Voima, has a clear concept and it would have to wait over one year till it would have been released. So like this I can present my current level of skills and music without ignoring Luonnon Voima completely." More...
Danish melodic death metal act Mercenary has announced a European headlining tour in support of upcoming release, “Through Our Darkest Days.” The tour will feature support from Omnium Gatherum - full dates are listed below.
“Through Our Darkest Days,” the group’s seventh studio album, is scheduled for North American release on July 30th via Prosthetic Records. Recorded with longtime collaborator and friend Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Heaven Shall Burn) at Hansen Studios in Denmark, the album will include what the band describes as “a combination of our latest material with a lot of the more traditional melodic and melancholic elements of previous Mercenary albums.”
The album cover art, available below, was completed by Mnemic guitarist Mircea Efrfemie (Soilwork, Illdisposed) and “symbolizes a darkness we have gone through as a band, which we feel we have finally been able to put behind us. The title of the album is meant very positively and thematizes both the journey through existential darkness as a general theme and the ability to break through it. The lyrical universe is very much about making the most of life and not getting caught up in negativity.”

Lambgoat.com today hurl forth a bit of pre-weekend audio animosity with a track premiere of "Without Master" from New Jersey death metal deviants, Grimus. The song comes by way of the band's previously announced forthcoming full-length debut, "Omnicide." Check it out here or through the player below.
Lyrically centered around mankind’s killer instinct and violent purpose in life, "Without Master" sets the album’s mood with 3:45 minutes of chronic, blasting hatred. Elaborates guitarist Michael Munoz: “Without Master incorporates fast, albeit simple and catchy riffs, while keeping the song as fluid as possible. It was written for the sole purpose of opening the album."
"Omnicide" was tracked and mixed by guitarist Marco Bobadilla at Crimson Recording and mastered by Alan Douches (Cannibal Corpse, Beneath the Massacre, Job For A Cowboy etc.) at West West Side Music. Grimus will self-release "Omnicide" on June 25th, 2013. Catch the band live:

"Dear Fans and Friends,
"Good news from Mastersound Studio: The vocal recordings for all songs of our up-coming release 'Symphonies of the Night' have just been completed. Moreover, Alex is already busy with the mix of the album.
"We have taken a great inspirational step since the production of 'Meredead,' both sound-wise and vocal-wise. It has been such a pleasure evolving in my singing techniques and knowledge and I thank my band members for 'giving me an inspirational kick' when I needed to gain momentum behind the microphone. 'Symphonies of the Night' is hauntingly dream-like and heavy to the core!"
London-based death metal merchants Decrepid have inked a deal with Xtreem Music for the release of their sophomore album sometime in 2014. The band's debut album "Devoted to Death" was originally self-released in 2011 on 12" vinyl and later on released on CD by Heretic Death Call Prod. in 2012.
Guitarist Danny Price comments: "We are very proud to be signing to a label with such great bands, the likes of Rottrevore, Hallows Eve and Avulsed have been a staple sound track to many nights and most definitely have had an impact on my compositions and guitar playing in one way or another and the chance to work with someone like Dave Rotten could not be ignored. I think this is the best way forward for Decrepid and I look forward to the release of our next full length album. Until then drink up, be merry and raise hell fuckers!" More...

North Carolina's Valient Thorr will release sixth studio album "Our Own Masters" on June 18th via Volcom Entertainment. The album was recorded at Ronnie Jone Sound Studios in Athens, GA and produced, engineered, and mixed by Kyle Spence of experimental rockers Harvey Milk.
Now, Pitchfork gives music fans a first-listen to the new LP, premiering the new song "No Strings Attached." Check out the song right here.
"When we wrote the music for 'No Strings Attached' it sounded like nothing we had ever done before," says Valient Thorr front man Valient himself. "The vibe reminded me so much of the feeling I would get when Thin Lizzy's 'The Boys Are Back In Town' would come on in the summertime and it was hot and all you wanted was to get off work and grab some beers and see what kind of party was happening. We always talk about positive vibrations, but a lot of our stories either come from or end up with dark tones, so I tried to write something that had a 'we're still here, let's make the most of it' vibe. It is definitely supposed to be a bright view of the future." More...

Following the "Sage" album, released in 2011 by Neurot Recordings, the new LP from Nashville trio Across Tundras is set for harvest on the band’s newly founded D.I.Y. label. The following press release was issued about the upcoming "Electric Relics" album:
"On the new LP Electric Relics, Across Tundras take their ever-expanding style of modern Americana further into the same westerly direction they’ve been traversing for the past few years, organically fusing their swells of post-doom into Spaghetti Western soundtracks and meandering blues/rock jam sessions.
"A wide variety of sounds seamlessly mingle throughout the slow motion base founding guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Tanner Olson, percussionist Casey Perry and bassist/vocalist Mikey Allred (Hellbender) lay down, Allred also contributing pianos/organs, synthesizers, mellotron, trombone and more, and his brother Joey (Hellbender) contributing guest slide guitar and vocals.
"Additionally, Perry hand constructed the scale model landscape for the cover art, with Olson handling the graphic design and layout. Across Tundras recorded Electric Relics at their expansive Ramble Hill Farm in February, and is releasing it on their own label of the same name, making it a fully self-managed D.I.Y. release."
As the band states: "Electric Relics is our humble offering placed at the crossroads of past, present, and future tense. Age-old energies and three phase electric power intersect to reveal hidden truths of bygone times, modern mysticisms, and sound the alarm for uncertain days to come. We walk through this shadowy land in search of a spark to light the fire and illuminate the depths of consciousness.” More...

Huntress is back with the follow-up to debut album "Spell Eater," which was released in 2012. The new album entitled "Starbound Beast" will be released on June 28th in Europe and on July 2nd in North America via Napalm Records.
The band recorded the album at Hobby Shop Studios in Los Angeles, CA, working with famed producer Zeuss (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Agnostic Front). The artwork for Starbound Beast was created once again by Vance Kelly (Slayer, Ghost B.C., Mastodon).
Today Huntress has unveiled the first song from "Starbound Beast." The track entitled "I Want to Fuck You to Death" was co-written for singer Jill Janus by legendary Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister. Check it out at the band's Facebook page.
Frontwoman Jill Janus spoke about the collaboration: "I met Lemmy through my former band Chelsea Girls. We'd play hard rock and metal covers featuring guest celebrities. Lemmy was already friends with the girls, so he played "Ace of Spades" with us and it blew my mind. We stayed in touch and would meet up at The Rainbow for drinks. So I asked him a few months back over Jack & Cokes if he'd write lyrics for a Huntress song and he said 'Sure'. A few weeks later, I met him at the studio during Motorhead recording sessions. Lemmy handed me two two pieces of notebook paper with the lyrics for 'I Want to Fuck You to Death'. I am beyond honored. To me, this is a love song. It is the most romantic song I've ever heard." Virginia traditional metal act Volture has signed to High Roller Records (a division of Pure Steel Records) for the release of the band's first full length LP "On the Edge," which is targeted for release in September.
Simultaneously, the band has announced that they have recruited new vocalist Jack Bauer (Tengwar). The band is also streaming the title track from the new release (see below).
The announcement reads as follows:
"For those of you in the true heavy metal world, here's the latest on all that is Volture. We fell on some rough times last year. Our label went under, we came back from Europe in debt, our singer Brent Hubbard no longer wanted to tour and he parted ways amicably with the band. We didn't know what the future held for us, but Volture kept on trucking and writing music without a singer. Our heavy metal machine would not be stopped.
"Onward we searched for the right vocalist to complete our band. Our quest would soon come to an end when we auditioned Jack Bauer. He rolled up on his chain mail-clad motorcycle and we immediately caught a good vibe from him. Jack nailed our old songs at practice, securing his position as our new vocalist. Volture barreled on writing and recording new material with Jack and his voice fit the style seamlessly. As a passing of the torch, our original singer Brent came into the studio and laid some guest vocals with Jack on several of the tracks for the new album. Fans of classic Volture will not be disappointed.
