...And Oceans have finished working on their new studio album. The album is titled Insect Angels & Devil Worms and is scheduled for a June 17th release through Century Media.
Galder has started recording the new Old Man's Child album, at Fredman Studios in Sweden. This time Nick Barker will take care of the drums and Galder all the other instruments.
Elitist Records announced the signing of the progressive black / death metal band Lunaris. Hailing from Norway, Lunaris features members of Borknagar, 1349 and Spiral Architect. The band has already completed the work on their debut album, The Infinite, and if all goes according to plan they will be able to release the album sometime in August. Several songs for the next album are already far into the development stage, and they have promised an even more technical and aggressive approach in the future.
Switzerland's Cataract have been busy working on new material as of late. The band will be entering the studio this September or October with long-time producer Alessandro Azzali to begin recording. Mixing will take place in November at Trax East with Eric Rachel at the helm, followed by mastering at West West Side by Alan Douches. The effort has a working title of Paradigm and will feature between eleven and thirteen tracks, eight of which have been completely written. More...

"Chuck recently went in for a follow-up with his thoracic oncologist and was given a clean bill of health! Though there are few remaining pieces of tumor in his system, blood tests show low numbers in which they feel there is no reason for concern. Chuck's damaged heart valve and vein has healed itself, so he will not have to undergo corrective/replacement surgery. Chuck continues to get stronger everyday and will soon be raring to go! As you've heard, Chuck is working on his side-project with Steve DiGiorgio and Darren Travis. More...
The End Records has secured the North American license of Satyricon's Ten Horns - Ten Diadems release from Moonfog.
"The End Records is proud to announce we have secured exclusive USA distribution rights for Satyricon's 10 years anniversary compilation album Ten Horns - Ten Diadems," a press release from The End Records reports. "Satyricon, one of the most established black metal bands in the world and getting ready to release a new album later on this year, have decided to offer this special compilation in celebration of their tenth year anniversary."
