Nuclear Blast has issued the following announcement about Suffocation and Origin teaming up for "The End Of Humanity" tour this coming July:
"Few bands can be credited with creating a legacy, however, legendary New York based extreme metal outfit Suffocation have done just that. For over 20 years now Suffocation have been creating music that has become the very standard by which we judge all things extreme. Their fusion of technicality, groove and sheer unrelenting brutality has been imitated but never quite duplicated. Milestone records such as Effigy of the Forgotten, Pierced from Within, and Despise the Sun have influenced a wealth of today’s best musical talents.
"Joining Suffocation is Origin, one of the most intense and technical forces of the contemporary death metal world. Origin, have returned to stake their claim as the leaders of metal’s new wave of extremity with their fifth studio effort entitled Entity. As expected, Origin continue to churn out frantic hell paced grids of metal torment, but now further compliment the arrangements with a new found propensity for churning grooves and the hook laden approach that first reared its ugly, but accessible head on the bands 2007 offering, Antithesis.
"Joined by guests Re Armed and Unbreakable Hatred, The End Of Humanity tour is all set to crush its way around Europe and destroy all in its path."

The Interbeing has teamed up with Metal Hammer to release a new music video for "Shadow Drift," which can be viewed below. The band also commented:
"Our brand new video for Shadow Drift is finally complete! The video is directed by the debut music video director Alexander Hørup who has spent years working closely with the Danish music video director Casper Balslev on videos for The Floor is Made of Lava, Dune, Vinnie Who, Marina & The Diamonds amongst others. The team behind the video also includes one of the best music video editors Jens Høll who has edited videos for L.O.C, Kashmir, Dune, The Storm and Carpark North to name a few.
"We chose the song Shadow Drift because it shows a slightly different side to the rest of the album. The lyrics are based on a surreal world, where the one's shadow is a separate individual who the main character tries to merge with. In the video the black liquid symbolizes the persons' shadows, and during the video the liquid covers each character more and more. The little boy with the rabbit mask is partly inspired by the psychological thriller Donnie Darko from 2001 and he represents the character's 'alternative self.'
"We all think the whole process has been awesome and fascinating. From the very beginning we were on the same level with Alexander. It was a very ambitious project which succeeded to a full extent, and we are extremely happy with the result. Metal Hammer UK is showing the exclusive premiere right now!" More...

Norwegian dark metallers Aeternus are set to enter Bergen’s Conclave and Earshot Studios in June together with producer Bjornar E. Nilsen to begin recording the band’s seventh full-length album. The album, to be titled “And the Seventh His Soul Detesteth,” will be released on Dark Essence Records later this year.
Formed in 1993 in Bergen, and with six full-length albums under the band's belt, Aeternus is one of the pioneers of what the band calls “dark metal,” meshing the sounds of black and death metal with superlative guitar playing and occasional haunting, melodic interludes. Of the original line up, only founder, guitarist and frontman Ares remains, but he has put together a new and formidable line up, bringing onboard drummer Phobos and guitarist Specter, with session live bass being handled by Skyggen.
The new lineup will hit the stage at the Hub and Heuy Metalfest at De Azijnfabriek in Roermond, Netherlands on the 19th of May, with an exclusive set showcasing tracks from Aeternus’ first two albums “Beyond the Wandering Moon” and “And So the Night Became.”
Commenting on the re-emergence of the band, seven years after the release of last album “Hexaeon,” Ares commented, “Time seems to just pass by without you realizing. Although Aeternus hasn’t seemed to be very active recently, I have been writing and working on new material, and we have chosen ten tracks for the new album which we have been rehearsing ready for when we enter the studio. I’m not going to say much about them except that Phobos and Specter have brought their own approach to things without losing any of the heaviness, power and intensity that people have come to expect from Aeternus. It’s a whole new era for the band, and we can’t wait to get going."

Germany's Holy Moses is celebrating the band's 30th anniversary with the new album "30th Anniversary - In the Power Now." Today Holy Moses has released a live video clip with a new line-up.
The clip for the song "SSP" was recorded at this year's Walpurgis Metal Days Festival in Germany and can be viewed below. You can also check out the re-recorded version of the classic song "Def Con II" at this location. The following press release was also issued:
"Holy Moses are giving away the snare skins which have been thrashed by drummer Gerd Lücking throughout the whole recording of 30th Anniversary - In The Power Of Now. Additionally the snare skin has been signed by all HOLY MOSES-members who were involved in the production. All you have to do to catch this unique piece of thrash history is to visit Facebook until May 31st!
"In 2011 Sabina Classen and her HOLY MOSES men secretly locked themselves into the Absurd Studio in Hamburg, Germany to start the recordings for the '30th Anniversary - In The Power Of Now' double album. The new drummer Gerd Lücking (GiftDwarf / ex-Rebellion) took care of the drum tracks on the new record. The album will have new versions of 20 of the most important songs of the 30 years of HOLY MOSES history plus 2 brand new songs.
"The band got together in late summer of 1980 in Aachen, Germany. Despite a number of line-up changes in the course of their career, HOLY MOSES have distinguished themselves through a high degree of musical consistency and downright disarming physical energy. They have been touring Europe regularly with thrash classics such as Finished With The Dogs, The New Machine Of Liechtenstein and World Chaos. When the international thrash scene experienced a perceptible slump in the early Nineties, Sabina Classen took time out from HOLY MOSES and founded Temple Of The Absurd.
"Based on a new lyrical and musical approach, she released two albums with her new band and reactivated HOLY MOSES at the beginning of the new millennium, followed by numerous shows all over the world, performances at important festivals such as the W:O:A and With Full Force, the Pusam Festival in South Korea, and the release of successful recordings such as Disorder Of The Order (2002), Strength, Power, Will, Passion (2005) and Agony Of Death (2008). HOLY MOSES are alive and kicking and are set to cheat the grim reaper for years to come!" More...

Prong is is currently in the midst of a short U.K. and European tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of the landmark "Beg To Differ" album. In addition, Prong is playing classics from the band's catalog as well as material from the recent "Carved Into Stone" album. Joining mainman Tommy Victor and drummer Alexei Rodriguez are bass players Matt Brunson of Crowbar and former Cradle of Filth bassist Dave Pybus.
Tommy explained the presence of not one but two well know bassists:
"Since Tony Campos (who has been touring with the band and played on Carved Into Stone) is touring with Soulfly, we've had to tour with other bass players. Everyone who has toured with us so far has been fantastic and brought their own personal style to Prong. Phil Zeller from Toxic Holocaust did the Crowbar tour. Jason Rapesi who has played with Stone Sour did a few shows with us before that. We were heading to Europe and the guy we had couldn't do it in the eleventh hour.
"Rather than cancel, our friend Matt Brunson from Crowbar stepped in and learned the entire Beg To Differ album in a day and a half! Then we found out that Dave Pybus who has played with Cradle of Filth, was going to be the tech on the tour. As it turned out, Dave is a massive Prong fan! He learned some of the other songs and has been joining Alexei and I onstage every night. Now we have two great bass players each night! This tour has been a blast!" More...

Swedish black metal legends Dark Funeral and Century Media Records are proud to announce the signing of a worldwide deal for the next 3 albums.
Guitarist and founding member Lord Ahriman comments: "Our bad luck with labels in the past has for sure been very frustrating. So it is with great pleasure to finally be able to turn the page, move on and start a new dark chapter in the Dark Funeral saga, as we join the great Century Media family. Century Media has more than enough proven to be a stable and highly professional label. And we are totally looking forward to this new cooperation, which I'm sure will prove to be very satisfying and successful for both parts. Hail the goat!"
Jens Prueter, Head Of A&R at Century Media Records Europe, comments: "I always respected Dark Funeral for their endurance and integrity. They've gone through some hard times, but never gave up and also never gave in to compromise on their musical and aesthetic vision. Almost 20 years after their formation it's still the same powerhouse of unmerciful black metal and the new line-up is stronger and more focused than in the past. Thanks to Lord Ahriman and the whole band! Looking forward to their 20th anniversary in 2013 with a new album In The Sign Of The Horns!" More...

It's a strong misconception that musicians in the limelight are financially stable, and have more money than they know what to do with. Granted this may be true for your GaGa's and Green Day's of the world, but not with independent artists such as myself. Independent musicians actually strive to be successful financially, and use their talents to make a paycheck just like anyone else in the working world. There's only one problem, well actually several problems. I'm speaking of course about all the greedy selfish bums who pirate and steal music.
I used to be one of them, and I'm ashamed to admit it. I downloaded hordes of music in the past, and never thought twice about doing so. It wasn't until I began selling my own music when I realized what a shameful display of greed this epidemic has become.
When I started recording music under the name Autumns Eyes, I had no intentions of promoting or selling my creations. Several years passed by with only a small group of friends hearing what I'd recorded. It wasn't until a couple years ago that I got into promoting what I do in hopes of sharing it with the masses.
