Blackened buzz-saw Swedish death metal act Gutter Instinct is streaming brand new EP, “The Insurrection,” in the player below (courtesy of Terrorizer.com).
Recorded at Helsingborg’s Studio Mangelrum with Kristofer Orstadius, the band drew inspiration for the EP from not only Swedish underground heroes like Entombed, Grave and Dismember, but also newer bands such as Teitanblood, Bölzer, Grave Miasma, Black Witchery and Portal with a distinct grinding tone featuring dark, haunting blackened smatterings.

Altanta, GA-based group Poynte just released a video for "Hold On," which can be seen in the player below. Guitarist Brett Davis comments:
"'Hold On,' to me, is a song that should light a fire for our generation. Everyone these days, they're settling for mediocrity and forgetting that this nation was built by those that chased their dreams. People that let nothing stop them from achieving those dreams. It’s your life, you shouldn't let anything hinder you from reaching upward and grabbing ahold of what you want out of this life. Really, the underlying theme of the album is this: Hold On to your dreams and don’t let them Take Control. It’s your life."
The hooded henchmen in Ghoul are fleeing their delightful dungeons of Creepsylvania to pillage your village on this year's Weapons Of Mosh Destruction trek, now in stunning 3-D (glasses not included, swine).
The three-dimensional lashings will initiate tonight, May 15th in Denver, Colorado and spread its chaos and disease through nearly three-dozen cities with an included infiltration of the Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore. Team Ghoul will unite with California grind hooligans, Phobia, and Ohio scumsmiths, Nekrofilth.
Additionally, the masked menaces were recently added to the sixth annual GWAR B-Q in Richmond, Virginia this August. Issues Digestor, lead doer of deviousness:
"Ghoul is on our way to your wretched country to once again scour the baked on scum from the crock pot of civilization. Sadness? Misery? Brutal totalitarian oppression? You're soaking in it! GHOUL is also happy to announce that we will be playing the one and only GWAR B-Q! We look forward to receiving abuse, sexual and otherwise, from our fiendish overlords in GWAR, and sopping up their gore-soaked leavings in our palpitating jaws. Also, we will be playing some songs, time permitting." More...

From amidst an ongoing North American tour, Today Is The Day hit Richmond, Virginia early for a pre-show filming of an episode of the ongoing "Brutally Delicious" video series.
Leading off with an extensive interview with Today Is The Day cult leader, Steve Austin - which includes tales of being bitten by cannibalistic fans, procuring overnight medical treatment on foreign soil, on-stage electrocution and bowel movements, and oh, so much more - the attention then shifts to the band prepping and grilling a spread of rib-eye steaks, lamb chops and potatoes on the open flame.
Among many other excellent quotes issued during the actual preparation of the provisions, Austin offers "If the food is not somewhat attacking you then you have not reached flavor nexus." Check out the clip below. More...
"Killogy" is a high-energy, animated dark comedy from creator Alan Robert (Life Of Agony) based on his hit IDW Publishing comic series, in association with Squeeze Studio Animation and award-winning producer Rodney Barnes (The Boondocks, Everybody Hates Chris).
Stars Frank Vincent (Goodfellas, The Sopranos), Marky Ramone (the Ramones), Brea Grant (Heroes, Dexter), and Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein (the Misfits) battle it out in apocalyptic-Brooklyn when an ancient voodoo curse wakes the dead and floods the city with blood.
This outrageous premise and bizarre mash-up of punk rock royalty, wiseguy sarcasm, and over-the-top gore makes for one hilarious rollercoaster ride. "Killogy" is being produced and developed under Robert's Wasted Talent Entertainment banner, consisting of Robert, Chris White (V/H/S Viral) and Jeff Mazzola (Descent).
"Killogy" was nominated for Best Mini-Series (2013) and Best One-Shot (2014) at the Ghastly Awards and picked up a Horror Comic Award for Best Scene from ComicMonsters.com. Bloody Disgusting listed Killogy at #4 on their Top 10 Best Mini-Series of 2013. More...

Elliott Fullam of Little Punk People (who has previously interviewed Ghost among others) was lucky enough to sit down with the King of Partying himself - Andrew W.K. - at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park before his show with Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg.
The show consisted of over 30 Ramones songs with Andrew singing for an amazing flow of Ramones party mania. In the video interview below, Elliott asks Andrew the question: Partying or Pooping?
In other bizarre Andrew W.K. news, the party master was recently given a new radio show by none other than conservative ideologue Glen Beck. Details on the head scratching collaboration can be found at this location. More...

Iron Maiden announced that following a recent MRI scan, vocalist Bruce Dickinson is cancer free. The band is finishing work on a new studio album, which will be "definitely be [released] this year."
Bruce commented: “I would like to thank the fantastic medical team who have been treating me for the last few months, resulting in this amazing outcome. It’s been tough on my family and in many ways it was harder for them than me. I’d also like to send a heartfelt thanks to all our fans for their kind words and thoughts. I’m a firm believer in trying to maintain a positive attitude, and the encouragement from the global Maiden family meant a great deal to me. Right now, I’m feeling extremely motivated and can’t wait to get back to business as usual, as soon as I can!”
Manager Rod Smallwood added: “We are of course all absolutely delighted that Bruce’s doctors have pronounced him free of cancer. Although Bruce is naturally eager to resume Maiden activities, it will take a while before he is completely back to full strength, as we explained previously. Because of this, the band will not be touring or playing any shows until next year. We know our fans will understand the situation and, like us, would prefer to wait until Bruce is back to his usual indefatigable levels of fitness before going out on the road. More...
