We want to thank Gensmer for all his assistance playing with us during the Kreator and Exodus dates, while Nic continues to heal. This will not affect our June dates as they will go on as planned."

Moonspell has issued the following update about upcoming tours and planning a new album:
"As you know I am always involved in new projects. It's the kind of crazy man I am. But I feel so many artistic motivations that is hard to keep them to myself. Goes without saying that Moonspell is my main priority and outlet and always be. Whoever doubts that, doubts my integrity and I all I give and receive from this band. This post is not for you then. We just came back from an intense, hard but successful tour, where, every night, we had a HUGE response to our shows and songs. We are thankful to everybody who attended the shows and gave so much of themselves. We are happy to inform that we are on the verge of confirming another tour in North America as well as few dates in South America, between October and November, as well as some dates for Russia before the festivals. More detail will follow soon, stay tuned.
"After that tour is finished we intend to write a new album to be recorded and released in 2010. We will also make a decision over the plan of having an acoustic album for Moonspell.
"As for related news, the Fado project Fernando is involved made number #1 in Portuguese charts and has maintained this position for the second week in a row. Following up are some news in Portuguese, for Portuguese and Brazilian friends, that deal, in general, with some of the band showcases in stores and promo activity."
Psyopus has issued the following tour report from the road:
"Our stop in Charleston, South Carolina brought us many wonderful things; a relaxing day at the beach, intense battles against the waters of the Atlantic, naps on the pier, free PBR, and Cornhole. For those of you who aren't hip to backyard summer games, Cornhole is a contest involving two slanted boards with holes in the middle, set up across from one another. Beanbags are tossed at the board with the intention landing them in the hole. A somewhat complex scoring system is used to chart progess, and the first team to 21 wins. Most of us on the tour were Cornhole noobs, but those Woe of Tyrants guys, hailing from southern Ohio, know their collegiate tailgate games. They showed us how it was done. I highly suggest getting into this game if you haven't already.
"Its a great way to usher in the summer. Then it was off to play the Masquerade in Hotlanta for what seems like the 6th or 7th time this year. Not that we mind. The set was certainly an eventful one. Highlights include an unrehearsed rendition of Kill Us (believe me, if you weren't there, you didn't miss much. And if you were, sorry), and Chris handing his axe off to Brian, who in turn gave up his mic to Chris for an encore of 'Play Some Skynard'. Hey, when you play Atlanta as often as we do, you've got to make it interesting somehow. Sometimes endless shredding just won't cut it. Right?"

As we stumble upon the summer tour season we constantly hear the phrase “big” tour. Whether it is in reference to the number of bands playing, number of asses in the seats, or size of the stage show, a lot of bands claim to own the “big show” title.
Bands like Van Halen, Guns N’ Roses, and Aerosmith (among others) for years have touted their tours in this regard and all (to some degree) have a right to throw their hat in the circle. This year is no exception: Kiss is following up a new album with what they are calling their biggest show ever, Metallica is again filling arenas on the road, and festivals drawing many bands are still going strong. Does tour “size” need to be qualified? Probably not, but what the hell….I personally haven’t given much thought to this until this week when I read the following: As AC/DC prepares for their Australian tour there is word that they will need forty-eight semi trailers to haul their equipment. Forty-eight trailers? I’ll let that one hang there for a minute… More...
