Norwegian doom denizens Devil have released the following statement regarding their second album: "Anyhow, we're glad to announce that we survived this and last years festivals and gigs, and even though it was a blast all the way, we have now decided to focus on our next album which we've called 'Gather the Sinners.' It will be released once again on the fine Soulseller Records hopefully this year. We are from now on concentrating fully on the album, and will therefore not be seen much on stage until late this year."
"However, we know that fans of Devil and 'Time To Repent' also will love Gather the Sinners, as it will be another trip down heavy metal memory lane, and the authenticity and evil cheerfulness is still very much represented. To show you just what we're aiming at, we're proud to present a sneak preview filmed live at Roadburn of the song 'They Pale,' which will be featured on 'Gather the Sinners.' We hope you enjoy this, and look forward to the album just as we do."
Devil also went on to say this about the new cover song that they have put out: "Since we're so fucking trendy, we're now exploring Bandcamp. As an opening treat for you all there, we've uploaded our contribution to the Ozzy tribute 'No More Tears' coming in June. And by Belsebub, will we be the odd one out there!! Don't say we didn't warn you, but if you're somewhat sadomasochistic, give it a spin. We'll be using the Bandcamp for other stuff that for some reason don't get on the releases later as well." Warriors of Metal, Inc. has revealed its 2012 Promo Video for Warriors Of Metal Fest V Open Air produced by the vocalist and guitarist of the Brazilian thrash metal band Machinage. Furthermore, the organization has issued the following statement regarding its charitable effort for this year's festivities:
"Since Warriors of Metal, Inc. is a registered non-profit organization in the state of Ohio and we are dedicated to education and proliferation of metal music as well as charitable service to our greater metal family and community, we would like to announce that for this year's charity project we will be collecting money at the festival to donate to our metal brother Brian Bond, who plays in the Thursday, June 28th Pre-Fest Showcase band KLNZR."
"Brian recently lost his home to a fire and although everybody in the family is fine, they did lose some pets in the process of trying to escape the blaze. Brian and his family are in temporary housing now and we will be making a collection during the Fest to help them out. Additionally, our friend Fabio Delibo of the Brazilian thrash metal band Machinage has stated: 'We from Machinage are very saddened to hear about Brian Bond's home having been destroyed in a fire, and since we can't help just by our hands, we are willing to try to collect as much money as we can in all the gigs."
"We are going to play in our month long US Tour this summer in order to help Brian and his family.' The 2012 Machinage US Tour starts at Worcester, Massachusetts, goes as far north as Burlington, Vermont, as far south as New Orleans, Louisiana, and as far west as Kansas City, Missouri. We at Warriors of Metal, Inc. applaud Machinage's pledge and shall do our best to help them raise even more money for the Bond family and this worthy cause during our fifth year anniversary show this summer."

Thrash act Chaos Theory is going to release a debut album through Massacre Records, and the label commented:
"The band from Italy has signed a record deal with us and will release their debut album 'Bio-Death' in late June!
"The band was formed in autumn 2009 by guitarist Giovanni and drummer Michele. Vocalist Claudio, bassist Daniele and the other guitarist Davide joined the line-up and they soon recorded their first self-titled demo, which was released in 2010.
"Daniele left the band during the recordings of their upcoming album. This had no effect on the quality of the album. Multi-instrumentalist Maurizio Fracchetti, who is also responsible for the mix and mastering, stepped in as bassist on 'Bio-Death.' Chaos Theory is still looking for a bassist, though.
"Watch out for Chaos Theory, 'cause they're playing fucking hard and fucking heavy!" More...

Canada's Vengeful has issued the following announcement about recording new material and splitting with the band's vocalist:
"Hello supporters! We finally comeback with news about things to come. Guitar tracking has begun for our next release. Yes we are already in the studio to bring you more death metal. For those of you that pay attention to detail, we announced several times in some of our previous updates that we recorded 22 songs during the drum sessions for Vengeful.
"The album features 12 of those tracks and we released 2 cover songs. The remaining 8 songs are comprised of the re-recording of our first album in its entirety and a medley of our 3 song-demo. So what you'll get are more brutal and better sounding versions all the songs from Karma and Tragedy Lies Ahead.
"Those recordings will unfortunately serve as our last outings with Vengeful's original vocalist Marc-André Grenier who decided to leave the band to focus on his career and other personal projects. Even though the remaining members of the band are disappointed by his departure, we remain in good terms. The vocalist position his now handled by Emmanuel Pronovost who's been playing the guitar with Vengeful since 2008. His guitarist slot is now occupied by Phil Tougas (First Fragment, Chthe'ilist). This new configuration of Vengeful is featured on our rendition of Morbid Angel's Blood on my hands.
"There is no release date for the Karma-TLA re-recordings but 2013 sounds about right. We'll keep you posted on that front..... In the meantime we're going to get back on stage to play our latest album and introduce this new lineup around our area.
"Musical suggestions: Krisiun - The Great Execution, Psycrotic - The Inherited Repression, Paradise Lost - Tragic Idol and Lamb of God's Resolution. Eternal Gray, Nader Sadek .....a little late on those two. Looking foward to the new Down EP, Kill Devil Hill's debut and Gojira's new album." More...

U.K. based prog metal act To-Mera is currently recording a third full-length and follow-up to the "Delusions" album. The band has issued the following announcement about seeking fan submissions for a chance to appear as a guest vocalist on the album:
"Alright, so with the mixing fast approaching, we still have a few little things to finish up. One of which is deciding who is evil enough to record some guest 'black metal scream' vocals over a short section of music.
"To help us decide, we want to hear YOUR screams on video! To make the competition fair, it should be to the words (which have nothing to do with the actual lyrics): 'South-east England remains in drought.' That's a pretty dark subject for you.
"Entries can be posted on our Facebook page, or submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org. A final verdict on the most evil scream will be made by next Friday evening (18th May). Feel free to get your friends involved!"
Dutch act Massive Assault has issued the following announcement about parting ways with the band's drummer:
"Massive Assault drummer Gideon will quit the band at the end of the year. Regretably Massive Assault's active agenda and Gideon's busy private live can't be combined anymore.
"We don't want to stop the Massive Assault machine, because things look very well for the band. That's why we are already searching for a new drummer to recruit!
"We're looking for a drummer who's got affinity with Old School Death Metal and the D-Beat style.
We have our own rehearsal/studio in Hoogeveen (The Netherlands), but we're willing to practice at other places if this seems to be the best solution for both the band an drummer.
"Interested drummers/musicians can respond by mailing our Guitarist Fredde at e-mail: email@example.com"
