"Just got back home, time to clarify about what happened during our show in Spain, Alicante. Here writing are Giulio, Silvano and Francesco from Hour of Penance, we've just returned home and we decided to make an announcement of what happened during what looks like to be our last tour with this line up. What follows, is just the truth, we know that on the internet there are already people talking about this or that without knowing what REALLY happened during the show we supposed to do in Alicante on May 7th.
"Here's what happened: We were about to jump on stage and play as we did on every night since the start of this tour and since we always did so far in the most professional way we could, but once on stage we figured out that our drummer Mauro was not able to perform a whole Hour of Penance set, so Francesco take the microphone and announced that we couldn't do the show because our drummer was sick. Just after his announcement the employees of the venue 'Coyote Ugly' started taking our instruments and gear because somebody did damage to the venue including breaking a flat TV 50 inches. So we started talking with them with lot of difficulty since nobody at the venue except us and the promoter were able to speak English but only Spanish until the police arrived and discovered that all those damages were done by our drummer Mauro. Swedish death metallers Nominon have checked in with the following report about their "March of the Undead" mini-tour:
"The vicious return of darkness and blasphemy. The 'March Of The Undead' mini-tour of Sweden together with the bastards in Graveyard from Spain was nothing but a great success. The people who attended any of the shows in Stockholm, Sundsvall and Jönköping were all shocked by the deadly, aggressive and intense performances. The last show in Jönköping turned into a gruesome black mass of death metal. Over 200 skulls came out to support, which is by far the most audience the club Zaragon have had for quite some time. We're working on a photo gallery that we will share with all of you in due time on our website, at the moment you can check out just a few really good pix from the Stockholm show at The Cave."
You can also catch Nominon live on the following dates:

U.K. power metallers Power Quest have checked in with the following announcement about recruiting a new vocalist:

Chity is well known and highly regarded worldwide in the rock and metal scene and has recorded, toured and made guest appearances with the likes of ‘Avalon’, ‘Faro’, ‘Firewind’ and ‘Red Circuit’, as well as fronting his own band ‘Civilization One’. His unmistakable style has been compared favourably with Ronnie James Dio, Klaus Meine and Johnny Gioeli."
Power Quest main man Steve Williams also commented on the news: "I’m thrilled to have recruited a vocalist and front man of Chity’s calibre. I’ve known Chity for a couple of years and we have often talked about working together and now we have that opportunity. We have already recorded 3 new songs with him and they just sound immense. In addition to this news we are also pleased to welcome Gavin Owen into the band as the new guitarist. Previously Gav was the lead guitarist for Welsh Metallers ‘Triaxis’. Gav’s audition last weekend was of the highest standard and we were all very impressed by his playing and how he conducted himself throughout the process. There was an instant chemistry there between him and the rest of the guys and particularly with Andy which bodes well for the future."
Meanwhile the band continues to work on material for the forthcoming album "Blood Alliance," with recording scheduled to commence in early July.
Brazilian metallers Shadowside, who had previously released their latest disc "Dare to Dream" only in Brazil, have now announced the album will see a worldwide release. Recorded, produced and mixed by Dave Schiffman (Audioslave, System of a Down, Six Feet Under) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Iron Maiden, Metallica, Pantera, Rush, Aerosmith and several others), “Dare to Dream” is the band's second album. Shadowside has been on the road since the release of the debut album "Theatre of Shadows" in 2006 and has performed in South & North America and in Spain supporting the likes of Primal Fear, Nightwish, Helloween, Divine Heresy, Kittie and Sepultura.

"Hey everyone, as most of you hopefully know, there has been a change for the Turisas tour. We are still supporting Turisas for their Aussie tour, however, as we announced recently, the Brisbane date (Friday May 21st) has been canceled. (For some reason, despite the fact that we have deleted this show from our tour calender on Myspace, it is still showing up on our page - please IGNORE this date). The problems with the tour were a result of Just Say Rock pulling out of their role as the event promoter/organizer.
"Luckily, Soundwave Touring has taken over the tour - but the Brisbance date has been dropped (this was not our call of course). So, apologies to all Brisbane-based fans. The following dates are still correct: SYDNEY Saturday 22nd May - The Factory Theatre (All Ages), MELBOURNE Sunday 23rd May - Billboard the Venue."

We've been talking to bands and fans everywhere to get their favorite mosh pit stories. This week Shawn Milke, singer/guitarist for Alesana, shares a story from the road involving an interesting twist on the wall of death:
"The fog pouring from the stage was thicker than that of a graveyard. On stage, we felt like we had been though a war; torn clothing, bloody lips, bruised faces. Gazing out at the crowd we could see that they were broken, but not beaten. It was time. The big guns were in place and ready to be fired. But this time around, we had a challenge for the soldiers. 'I want a wall of death!' screams our fearless front man Dennis. No fear. No mercy. This is no time for children to run scared to their mommys and daddys. This is a time to bring it and bring it hard. To prove our bite is as ferocious as our bark, we send one of our own down into the crowd and to the very back of the wall of death. The challenge is simple: hit him, catch him, beat him before he reaches the stage. We dare you. On the count of three. One...two...three...the stage is set, the night explodes. One of the best pits we've ever had!"
Alesana recently wrapped up their headlining The Emptiness Tour before embarking on a European tour that they're playing now. The band will return to the US and tour as part of the Vans Warped Tour this summer.
Check back every Tuesday for more pit stories.

DIABOLIC has issues the following report:
"DIABOLIC has returned from our Tour Dates with CANNIBAL CORPSE on the 'Evisceration Plague' Tour and it was a great success!!

"DIABOLIC played classic favorites such as 'Supreme Evil,' 'Marked for Banishment,' 'Ancient Hatred,' and 'Extinction Level Event,' in addition to showcasing new songs such as 'Evil in Disguise' and the Title Track from our upcoming new CD, 'Excisions of Exorcisms.' At our headlining show in Philly we played an extended set, to include even more new songs, such as 'Hellish World,' 'Venomous Habitations,' and 'Bloodwashed.' It was great for the band to get back out on the road, and seeing our fans (old and new) was awesome!! We got a great response, sold almost completely out of merchandise, handed out dozens of copies of Deathgasm Recs Promo/Comp CD’s featuring Track #1 our new song “Evil in Disguise” and got a killer buzz going for our new CD, 'Excisions of Exorcisms!!'
"DIABOLIC would like to give special thanks to the bands: LECHEROUS NOCTURNE, for opening the show for us every night, even letting us borrow their guitar and bass cabs to help the shows run more smoothly (thanks bros!) and to SKELETONWITCH for being so cool and supportive, and especially to CANNIBAL CORPSE, for inviting us to play these Tour Dates!! Thank you to Evan from Deathgasm Records for hooking us up with killer merchandise, to Marco Barbieri and Salem Rose Music, for helping us to make it happen! Thanks to the promoters, Chris in Philly for hooking us up at the last minute! Also special thanks to Jarrod Pritchard for running live sound for us every night! Thanks to Nick Storch at ICM Talent, and to CANNIBAL’s Tour Manager, Pete Robertson, for helping us get onboard and up to speed!! A huge mega-thanks to Aly Webster for the cool live pics!! And thanks to Alex, Pat, Paul, George, and Rob for just being killer dudes and delivering a crushing set every night!! We thank you very much for the opportunity, and we’ll see you again next time!!
