"The Right To Go Insane," the new video from Megadeth, can be seen for the first time at Noisecreep.com. Check it out at Noisecreep.com.
The story behind the video: On May 17, 1995, a U.S. Army veteran and unemployed plumber in San Diego, Shawn Timothy Nelson, snapped and stole an M60 Patton tank from a nearby National Guard Armory. He drove down the highway, crushing cars, fire hydrants and an RV before he was stopped and killed by police.
The headline-grabbing story forms the basis of Megadeth's new video for "The Right to Go Insane," the second single from the band's acclaimed 2009 disc "Endgame." In the clip, which surprisingly features no performance footage, frontman Dave Mustaine is filmed sneaking onto a military facility, stealing a tank and playing crash-up derby through the streets. Video footage from the cockpit shows him singing and laughing, while shots from a surveillance helicopter depict a missile gunsight tracking him as he pillages. More...

Christian David Wentz of Futures End has issued the following update about the band putting together a DVD for an upcoming release:
"Greetings all! As you know, we are re-releasing our album 'Memoirs of a Broken Man' this summer with new art, a new booklet, and a bonus DVD that will be included at no extra cost to you. The daunting task of trying to make sense of three years worth of footage that all of us have shot on our little HD cameras has begun.
"I have to tell you that I have never tried anything like this before, and I am having a blast putting it together. Honestly, this isn't meant as anything more than bonus material, but I can see as the editing process marches on that everything we have done tells a very cool story about who we are as a band, as individuals, and where we came from. It has been a lot of fun looking back at all of this stuff and I am sure you guys will enjoy watching it and getting to know us a little.
"It is my goal to have the material finished and ready to deliver to Nightmare Records by the end of the month. I am pretty sure I am going to nail that target and I am really stoked to see what you all think of it. There are quite a few famous faces in it as we have run across people that I am sure you all know in our travels. Who knows? Some of you just may be in it as well! Will keep ya posted!"

Los Angeles metal act Redemption has issued the following update about the band canceling their European tour dates:
"Dear friends: I am sorry to say that we are faced with the reality of having to cancel Redemption's intended European shows the summer.
"Part of our unique sound comes from our vocalist, Ray Alder of Fates Warning. As a long-time fan of Fates myself, I have always maintained that Redemption would not interfere with Ray's commitment to Fates, and we have worked very carefully and diligently since Ray joined Redemption in 2005 to ensure that both bands would be able to record and perform without conflict.
"We intended to play several shows in several countries this summer in support of our new CD, Snowfall on Judgment Day. Our management and local promoters in Europe worked hard to line up some great shows that we were very much looking forward to playing. Originally, there was no conflict, even when Fates announced some special shows and festivals to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their fantastic Parallels CD. More...

Guitarist Doc Coyle of God Forbid has issued the following update about the band's recent activity:
"It's been quite some time since I've given some type of update on what the GF crew has been up to, and thought it would be appropriate to awaken from information hibernation. We been home from tour for about 2 weeks, and have had ample time to decompress.
"So to catch up, I have to take you back a few months. It was early January 2010, and we had just played our first show in months, a one-off local gig, and were resuming writing new material after the holidays when we received an offer to do a tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Shadows Fall to replace Throwdown who had dropped off. This was only a week before the tour started, but we decided to throw caution to wind and jump on the tour. It was definitely worth it. I'd say 90% of the shows were sold out, and in many cases were playing rooms too small for the tour. Kudos to FFDP for going to bat for us, and bringing us out. It was definitely a very different tour for us. Probably the most mainstream thing we've done except for maybe Ozzfest, but we actually went over extremely well. It was nice to get out to a totally different audience, even if many people didn't know we were playing because we were added last minute. It was also great to hang with our old friends in Shadows Fall, and get to know and party with our new friends in 2 Cents. More...

Metalheads generally hate hardcore dancing, so I thought this video would be a good one to share, as it breaks it down into a mock how-to video:
Slash (Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver) released his new solo album this week that includes a song sung by Ozzy Osbourne, “Crucify The Dead” containing the lyrics: "A loaded gun jammed by a rose/the thorns are not around your head/your ego cut you til you bled". Slash is adamant that the song is not about ex-band mate Axl Rose saying, “Yes, there were some key lines in there that were very suggestive of my experience. No, this is just an overall picture of the issues.” Prediction: We are two years from Slash running for a political office… More...
