Connecticut's Life In Your Way has announced plans to disband after nearly ten years together and albums with Solid State Records and Indianola Records. Here's a statement from the group:
"It has become apparent to us that ending now on a good note would be the best way to go out for Life In Your Way. Of course there are specific reasons why it is a good time to end the over nine years of music, touring, band member changes, hundreds of different merchandise designs, passions and frustrations of being in a band for that long. There is no reason to get into each one; they are just the obvious if you know the life of musicians in this kind of scene.
"We've loved every minute of it! Some or our biggest joys in life has come from being in this group. Meeting people all around the country and world, getting to know some of our favorite bands and building relationships that outlast a band or a genre. This has been the biggest blessing. The music we've been able to write, producers we've been amazed with and record labels that have believed in us has been a dream come true. We hope our music will live on for people, having a strong grasp on fans and new fans to come. Without music the world would be entirely boring and even more self-destructive. All in all, LIYW has in no way been a waste of time for any of its members!
"We are still looking and waiting for where each one of us may go off to. There has been talk about doing another band with most of the members. It is a definite that we will all be involved in music for the rest of our lives. You can be on the look out for where each one of us might put our time into musically.
"The band is not over this moment. LIYW is coming up on a full US tour with Burden of a Day, Means, For Today and In Fear And Faith. This tour will definitely be the last for most of the country. It will be doing a small tour to Cornerstone in IL. Either way, the last will be local, in Connecticut. We will have some of our favorite bands play (our best friends in music). We'd ask for all to come out, young and old. We will be pulling out old material, songs from all three records. This grand finale will happen in late June to July. Come and catch the last show near you. Thanks."

The following message has been posted by Kreator's official Myspace:
"For some reason, we are still getting a LOT of emails, comments, messages, etc. about Kreator and the canceled King Diamond tour.
"King Diamond had to cancel the whole tour because of health issues. Regardless of what any club website may say, Kreator are NOT doing ANY SHOWS in the USA as of right now! No off-dates, no one-off shows, no tours.... nothing.
"Instead, they are concentrating on writing the NEW ALBUM and will only be making a few festival appearances in Europe at the moment. Once they are done with the new album, THEN they will make their way back to the USA.
"Until that time, all of us here in the USA will just have to be patient.
"I hope this makes everything absolutely, positively clear because I would hate for a fan (or more) to show up at a club expecting Kreator to play and then get really disappointed."

KOCH Records has entered into a new multi-tiered, worldwide deal with Hatebreed. As part of the new deal, KOCH Records will release a series of highly-anticipated future projects from the kings of hardcore metal, Connecticut's very own Hatebreed.
The first project under the new deal will be Hatebreed’s first-ever live DVD. The main DVD concert shoot took place at Harpo's in Detroit on Saturday, March 29th, 2008 in front of a packed, sold out crowd. Directed by Kevin Custer, the yet-to-be titled DVD will also feature a ollection of recent live shows from various tour stops in Germany, Philadelphia, New York City and New Haven, CT. The new DVD will see its release in late summer/early fall.
Jamey Jasta states, “The band and I had set out to find an aggressive, forward thinking marketing and creative team to release the first-ever Hatebreed live DVD experience, a live album, and a cool unique covers record project and teaming up with KOCH Records is a perfect fit.” Jasta explains “There are other important projects that we are planning to partner with KOCH Records to release. They are a smart company with a dedicated staff and I speak for the whole band when I say that KOCH just gets it and aren't afraid to take risks and work their asses off. We are excited to start working together.”
Scott Givens, VP of Metal, offers, “I’m thrilled to add HATEBREED & Jamey Jasta and his many endeavors/projects to the KOCH family. Jamey has been a leader his entire career and we are elated that he has chosen us to be his partner going forward.”
John Franck, SVP of Marketing comments “We couldn’t be more excited to be in business with Jamey Jasta and Hatebreed. The dedication and work-ethic Jasta brings to each and every one of his projects is what it’s all about. This deal has been a long-time coming and is a great fit for KOCH Records as we continue to expand our roster. Fans are going to be stoked when they see what we have in store for them; starting with this DVD which is going to hit ‘em over the head like a ten ton brick. ”
As previously reported, Jägermeister Music and Hatebreed have partnered up for the next installment of the Jägermeister Music Tour and will hit the road with good friends, Type O Negative for a co-headline bill with special guests, 3 Inches of Blood. Having the opportunity to headline the Jägermeister Music Tour, like our friends from Slayer and Slipknot is a tremendous honor.” says frontman, Jamey Jasta. “Jägermeister has supported heavy music in so many different ways and they continue to bring together the best of the best in metal. The spring tour will be no different and co-headlining with our friends from Type O Negative makes it that much sweeter.”

Animosity unleashes the video for the song “Teeth Grinder” for world premiere April 11 on MTV2’s Headbanger’s Blog. Following its blogosphere release, the video will make its television debut April 12 on MTV2’s Headbanger’s Ball.
Under the direction of skate video extraordinaire Richie Valdez (Job For A Cowboy, Every Time I Die), Animosity randomly explores San Francisco in typical Animosity fashion with its goofy antics and running-a-muck silliness. Vocalist Leo Miller didn’t use his parent’s, contemporary-art-lined house for “Teeth Grinder’s” filming like he did for “The Black Page.” The band instead took its shenanigans to the gritty streets, hilariously ravaging several cultural attributes that epitomize San Francisco.
Animosity first hit the scene in 2000, when most of the members were only 15 years old, with a blistering brand of death metal/hardcore that sought to defy stereotypes and spit in the face of the mainstream. Almost two years after their Black Market Activities debut, Animosity is back and poised to showcase their tremendous talent and growth with “Animal.”

Maryland metallers, Periphery, issue the following update on their MySpace page:
"Hello ladies and gentlemen,"
"We will be supporting A Life Once Lost and Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza on a small portion of their tour later this month, please come out and show everyone what the fuck is up with Periphery! Buy t-shirts so we can do more tours, OOOHRAH!"
"Please note that while we will be at the New England Metal Hardcore Festival we will not be performing, we will however be selling t-shirts and giving away free production advice! SO COME THE FUCK OUT AND HANG OUT WITH YOUR WANG OUT! (we do not want to see your wang)."
After six years with the band, drummer Rigg Ross has left Madball. According to the group, "We'd like to wish him all the best for the future, and he will have our love and respect forever."
To replace Ross, Madball has added Mackie Jayson (former Cro-Mags, Bad Brains) to their line-up. He will make his live debut with the band later this month.
Massachusetts’ THE ACACIA STRAIN have confirmed a return trip to Europe with support from Annotations of An Autopsy and Knights of the Abyss, including a show with Converge, Inegrity and Coliseum in Germany. Heading across the pond in July and August, this marks the band’s first return after offering direct support to Hatebreed in April of 2007 and first set of tour dates after THE ACACIA STRAIN’s plans to headlining shows throughout the US on the Sun Your Bunz Summer Tour with support from All Shall Perish, The Warriors, Eternal Lord and Since The Flood.
“I can't even express in words how excited I am for this tour,” frontman Vincent Bennett says. “This is our first time in mainland Europe, so expect some culture shock on both ends. Annotations and Knights of The Abyss both bring devious amounts of heavy, so this should be a tour to contend with. See you in July!”
Meanwhile, THE ACACIA STRAIN will enter the studio April 13 with Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, Municipal Waste) at Planet Z Studio to record "Continent," the follow-up to 2006’s "The Dead Walk." Again handling artwork will be Paul Romano (Mastodon, The Red Chord, Trivium), and one of the pre-production tracks from "Continent," entitled “Dr. Doom,” is available on the band’s MySpace page.
