Heaven and Hell Records will be releasing the complete recorded works from North Carolina death thrashers False Prophet on CD as part of the Lost Relics collection. Formed in the late 1980s False Prophet would quickly become one of North Carolina's leading metal bands and grew into one of the East Coast's most fierce thrash/death metal acts by the early 1990s.
Their first self-titled demo, released in 1989, saw the band gain attention throughout the underground. But it wasn't until the release of their full-length, "Second Death," in 1991 that the band began to gain mass critical praise from critics and peers.
The band toured the region playing with such acts as Danzig, Confessor, Forbidden, Demolition Hammer and Dark Angel. They eventually landed a deal with Belgium label Mausoleum Records. Unfortunately an album would never be release. By 1993 the band changed their name to INFERNAL HIERARCHY and released a self-titled, two-song 7". The band split up shortly there after.
Finally this thrash/death metal collection will see a proper release all re-mastered by Jamie King at The Basement Studios in Winston-Salem, NC.

"With All The Rage presents its first video clip. With all the Rage contains in the name the deeper meaning of grudge fed by the guys towards Sicily, a land stained by the conspiracy of silence and bigotry: RAGE. Mindscar is the extreme metal band from Orlando, Florida formed by Richie Brown (vocals/guitar) and Mike Radford (drums) in 1998. By 2001, Mindscar made a powerful impact performing hundreds of successful gigs, performing on television, and receiving international airplay and publicity.
Often coined by metal press as ‘Matt Heafy’s black metal band,’ Mindscar featured Matt Heafy of Trivium on guitar and backup vocals in 2002. After getting held back from the first major tour in 2002 due to parental guardian issues and the band being legally under age, everything fell to pieces for an entire decade.
In 2012, Richie Brown and Mike Radford reunited in the studio to record "Thornz Ov Ill Lechery" and "Blind Masses." Soon after, the core of the band made a pact to completely resurrect Mindscar. March 2013 marks the live debut of the new line-up, which features Jacob Belkerdid (bass/vocals) and Erich Geuter (guitar), alongside Massacre in Tampa, Florida. With potent new material and the most powerful line-up to date, Mindscar intends on releasing the first official full-length album and performing internationally.

Results of Slawek’s autopsy should be known soon.
"In this situation, we decided to cancel the remaining shows and return home. We gave detailed testimonies to the German police. We are shocked and shattered by his sudden, unexpected death. We mourn together with Slawek’s family and friends."

Swedish abjection horde Majalis has signed with Pulverised Records. With this project group suspended for several years and ultimately resurrected by the group's pivotal figures Tobias Netzell and Björn Pettersson, also of In Mourning fame; Majalis is now ready to take the first leap forward and introduce the band's debut EP to the unsuspecting world of mournful harmonious scorn.
In an official press statement from Majalis six-stringer Björn Pettersson: "We are happy and proud to be able to work with Pulverised for our debut EP. Some of us have been working together before and it feels like both us and the Pulverised guys are pretty stoked about this project, so we have no doubts that this will be a good collaboration."
"Majalis is a newly formed band but is hailing from a project that started quite some time ago, much of the material to this first EP was written by Tobias and Björn several years ago. Later the four of us got together and decided to make the project into a band, and now it feels perfect to be able to put these songs out as a first sign of life. All four members are active musicians in other bands and are no strangers to playing live or writing music, plus we all tend to work very well together so we have a lot of good vibes for this. The music we have recorded so far draws inspiration from some atmospheric, hardcore and doom-influenced territories. We are really eager to get going and to present what we are working on."
Pulverised Records label manager Roy Yeo had this to say regarding the latest signing: "Having worked with In Mourning previously, we knew very clearly what Tobias, Björn and co. were capable of for sure. Majalis, although, are amongst the same musical territory with the likes of In Mourning, Katatonia, etc and its predecessors, but they sound nothing like the aforementioned bands. There is really no better way to describe Majalis than somewhat sounding dangerously close to a funeral-like post rock band with unyielding depressive underlings."
Below is a video of Majalis doing the final mixing on its EP.
GunShyAssassin.com has tossed a bit more fuel on the white-hot fires of society with an exclusive stream of the tune "Burn L.A." from Texas crossover thrashers Birth A.D. "I Blame You" is being released through the newly launched Unspeakable Axe Records via the label's partnership with Dark Descent Records. The album is set to be in stores by late May.

They say travel broadens the mind, and there is some truth in this phrase because the 2012 European tour brought a new perspective to the career of Banda de la Muerte. So many miles traveled in the old world allowed the understanding that there is another distance impossible to be measured in miles or fuel where they were coming from.
This distance had to be traveled so they could discover that part of the DNA which has always been there and was sheltered on vinyl for over 40 years. So with the firm intention to pursue the path they went back in time to rediscover their own roots, their ancestors, their local heroes. The result is “Seis Canciones” (English for Six Songs).
The 70s Argentine rock cemented with its experimental richness what the world then knew as Rock in Spanish …. or Rock Nacional for the Argentines, and this album of six songs extracts some of the best cards of this fortune of introspective exploration, it is a trip to the depths where one could find enshrined local heroes and forgotten martyrs and above all, the ancestry of the Banda de la Muerte members reflected in the past four decades.
It would be unfair to label "Seis Canciones" as a tribute album. It is rather an honestly and intelligently arranged piece of work, where the choice of songs avoids the clichéd greatest hits label and in doing so unearths hidden gems by Miguel Cantilo and Grupo Sur, Orion's Beethoven, Contraluz and Sacramento (a band with short life but which brought undoubted value to music and which was founded by the keyboardist Ciro Fogliatta and Alfredo Toth after the breaking up of Los Gatos). In relation to this Fogliatta adds a note to the pages of Latin American rock history by participating on keyboards in the Banda de la Muerte’s version of "Reunidos en el Cuarto”. The stainless “Abelardo el Pollo” y “Era de tontos” provide the obligatory presence of Pappo's Blues and Luis Alberto Spinetta…..
The album is produced by Banda de la Muerte and recorded live in Buenos Aires in January 2013 by Gonzalo “Pájaro” Rainoldi with the assistance of Ivan Caplan. The mastering was done by Justin Weis in Trakworx, San Francisco. The album will be released in May 2013 in a vinyl picture disc format through Venado Records and Noiseground. Stream it over on bandcamp or below in the player.
Banda de la Muerte have scheduled a new European tour in May 2013 and on these concerts they will present the material from “Seis Canciones” with the firm conviction to spread their interpretation of the pieces that forged the Argentinean rock music scene. Confirmed dates so far:
