Chavis Records issues the following message welcoming Bulletboys to their label:
CHAVIS RECORDS is thrilled to announce the signing of the BULLETBOYS to the label for their much anticipated new worldwide release. The band is currently in the studio finishing the final recordings before heading to the mixing and mastering phase. The project is being recorded at El Garaje Studios in Cape Coral, FL.
There is only a small handful of bands that stand out and define an era of music and few rise to the top of their field. BULLETBOYS talent, intensity and key musical abilities propelled them to the top of their field. BULLETBOYS has an undeniable groove and R&B vocal flair that continues to win over audiences worldwide. Having triumphed over yesteryear, flamboyant frontman Marq Torien has reinvented the band catapulting the BULLETBOYS to a new rock n roll force majeure that is fresh sounding and very relevant in today's music scene. The first single "Road To Nowhere" has already been released and is now airing at many rock stations across the U.S. More...
After the Japanese release of its debut, "Tales of the Magician," in December, through the label Soundholic (Grave Digger, Dark Funeral, Marduk, Evergrey, Nocturnal Rites, etc), the Brazilian power metal band Magician inked a deal with the German label Dockyard 1, which will be responsible for the worldwide release of the album, which is scheduled for the end of June.
About the release the label stated in its website: "Do you remembert he feeling when a band called Angra was discovered years and years and years ago? Well, we know at least how it might have felt, becausew e just discovered Magician!”
Produced by Dirk Schlächter (Gamma Ray) and Arne Lakenmacher at HighGain Studios, they applied the final polish to this musical splendour. Be prepared for the brilliance of Tales of The Magician!"
When waiting for the album release the fans can check some samples in the band's MySpace page.
SANDALINAS — the Spanish/Swedish band featuring Mats Rendlert (bass; DREAMLAND), Alvaro Svanerö (drums; LOCH VOSTOK), Jordi Sandalinas (guitar) and Rick Altzi (vocals; AT VANCE) — will enter Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden in August with producer Andy LaRocque (KING DIAMOND) to begin recording its third album. More information will be made available soon.
Portland, Oregon-based death/thrash band BRAINSIC has booked time at Black Diamond studios to record its second EP. This will be the follow-up to the 2007 EP, which was laid down at Geomana Studio. It was met with very positive reviews, and even easily won the group an online contest for an independent contract, which the band apparently turned down due to the fact that it did not offer what the group needed.
BRAINSIC was formed in 2004 after guitarist/founder CJ was done with the BODYBAG reunioun show. "Dave and I wanted to start a project for years, but other commitments prevented it until the summer of 2004," says CJ. After a few early lineup changes, the band has been solid for the last two years with Jacob taking bass and vocal duties.

Swedish melodic metallers CLOUDSCAPE have issued the following update:
"It's been a long wait for the announcement of release dates and info regarding the third CLOUDSCAPE album entitled 'Global Drama'. The original plan was to release the album during spring 2008, but, as you already know those plans took a different direction so, right here right now we can reveal that 'Global Drama' will be released during August/September 2008 but, you have to wait a very few more days to get the exact release dates and info and sneak peek(s). As soon as CLOUDSCAPE's management gives the green light, all info will be announced and this will only take a few more days. But, until then you can watch the fantastic album cover made by Mattias Norén."
12 songs were recorded for "Global Drama", which will be "the most varied and interesting album by CLOUDSCAPE so far," according to the band. "It contains a few really hard and raw metal songs and there will also be a few more atmospheric and dynamic songs progressively spiced."

"We are sad to announce that Christian Liljegren has left NARNIA. Christian was NARNIA's singer for 12 years and he was also one of its founding members. The decision behind the split was a mutual agreement between Christian and the rest of the band. We understand that this comes as a surprise for most of you but we ask you for your understanding, prayers and support. We thank Christian for all the years we had together on the road, in the studio and for our friendship and we wish him the best for the future." More...

"Won't Let Go" is the first single from the new album, showcasing the band's natural progress: there are fresh elements in the mix, but the song still sounds like Negative.
The album was produced by Mikko Karmila who has previously worked with Finnish heavyweights NIGHTWISH and CHILDREN OF BODOM. The album will be released in Scandinavia on May 7th, releases for the rest of Europe and Japan will follow later in the spring. More...

Irish thrashers GAMA BOMB have posted a tour report regarding their recent UK tour with thrash legends EXODUS and fast-rising UK thrashers EVILE.
This is what GAMA BOMB had to say about playing up and down the UK to riotous reception night after night, with two of the greatest thrash bands around today:
"The G-Bizzers have just returned from our UK tour with Exodus and Evile, and what a week it's been...kicking off in London, we had one of the best receptions we've ever had and were thrilled to play the Underworld, which has always been something of an ambition of ours. Leeds the next night was an even better set, and those who assembled really made us feel welcome, which was cool. Dublin was possibly the most surprising night by a mile: expecting a decent reception and some friendly back-slapping, we were astonished by how well we went down. We managed to sell more tees than we even had in London, which was great. We definitely owe them Dublin thrashers more gigs like that one."
Century Media Records reports:
With a phenomenal start to 2008 after the second headlining UK tour as well as their first European headlining run with labelmates NORTHER, TURISAS have confirmed that they will once again be gracing UK shores after having been confirmed as main support on the fall tour with DRAGONFORCE.
Warlord Nygard had the following to say on the forthcoming tour: “We just made it back from a very successful European tour which included an impressive 13 dates in the UK. We were really surprised how amazing the turnout was, with many of the UK shows selling out, considering we had only played one of the cities before. The crowds were crazy and now we're extremely pleased that we're able to come back in autumn to do it all over again. We’re joining up with Dragonforce on their UK tour and this something we're already hugely looking forward to. We are also extra excited about the shows in Ireland, which will be our first ones on the island that we've been unfortunate enough to miss out on previous tours. As you can imagine, Olli is sharpening his bow already as his one-man mission is about to reach its climax ... All in all, it's going to be a great package no-one should miss out on. Right now we’re just about to head out on a voyage to begin our assault on the US as part of the Paganfest .. so we’ll either see you at the summer festivals or in the autumn.” More...

Blabbermouth.net is reporting that this summer's Ozzfest will consist of two separate two-day (Saturday/Sunday) events — one of which will be held in Dallas — in late July/early August, with OZZY OSBOURNE headlining one day and METALLICA the other.
Reactivated Texas thrash/speed metallers RIGOR MORTIS have now announced via their MySpace page that they are confirmed for Ozzfest 2008 in Dallas on Saturday, August 9. METALLICA will apparently close out the show this night.
RIGOR MORTIS will perform with its original lineup consisting of Bruce Corbitt (TEXAS METAL ALLIANCE), Mike Scaccia (MINISTRY, REVOLTING COCKS, BLOHOLE), Casey Orr (GWAR, MITRA, X-COPS, THE HELLIONS, BLOHOLE), and Harden Harrison (MITRA, PERVIS, SPEEDEALER).
The Ozzfest reports come in the wake of this year's arrival of the metal-oriented Rockstar Energy Mayhem Tour, which will play 30 North American amphitheaters during July and August, the time when Ozzfest is traditionally making its rounds.
Last year's Ozzfest offered free admission, with fans acquiring tickets mostly through sponsoring web sites. But the acts were not paid either, which resulted in a decidedly less than impressive main stage lineup. The Rockstar Energy Mayhem Tour trek has already robbed Ozzfest of two potential main-stage heavyweights in DISTURBED and SLIPKNOT, with fan favorites DRAGONFORCE and MASTODON also taking part in the Mayhem tour.

The following is an official press release:
It took one band, six cameras, five hundred fans and master producer Casey Bates (Chiodos, Foxy Shazam, Fear Before The March of Flames) to capture one of the most historic live performances of The Number Twelve Looks Like You's career.
Shot on location at a sold-out School of Rock show on December 15th, 2007 in South Hackensack, New Jersey, Here At The End of All Things captures the chaotic and adrenaline infused live show that has made The Number Twelve Looks Like You so important to their fans, and to heavy music in general. The final show of a 75 day tour, the band tore through their eclectic set as though it were the last day on earth and the worst fate the universe could imagine was lingering outside the sold out venue doors. Fans have been debating the genesis of the strange extraterrestrial themes and quixotic radio broadcasts featured at the show and how they would be incorporated into the final dvd. When asked for some insight, Jase Korman lead singer for the band simply said, "We've been touring endlessly for years, but we still haven't played for everyone, so this DVD is a great way to reach every man, woman, and child in the United States of America. If you are a fan of 1996's Independance Day starring Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum, you will fall in love with Here At the End of All Things."
This latest release from Eyeball Records not only features an entire live show from one of the heaviest and most well respected grind-core art-metal bands in music today, but also includes bonus material, music videos, an intimate sit down with the band, and a special second disc capturing the night's audio, as well as bonus remixes courtesy of Jesse Cannon and more. The staff of Eyeball Records actually attempted to add CGI monsters, spaceships and an exploding White House to the final DVD performance but the furthest they got was a crudely drawn UFO on a notepad next to one of their computers. "None of us have ANY idea how to create CGI aliens... " said a sullen Eyeball employee, "Will Smith would be appalled."
Available for the first time on June 17th, "Here At The End of All Things" is another in a series of releases from a band whose relentless touring and hardcore work ethic prove time and again that they are in it for the long haul. The Number Twelve Looks Like You has toured with bands Thursday, GWAR, Minus The Bear, Every Time I Die, Shadows Fall, and others. Their video for "Grandfather" from 2007's Mongrel, landed the band on national TV when MTV2's legendary Head Banger's Ball picked the video up for rotation.
"Here At The End of All Things" track listing:
1. Jay Walking Backwards (6:51)
2. Don't Get Blood On My Prada Shoes (2:23)
3. The Weekly Wars (4:48)
4. Texas Dolly (3:40)
5. The Proud Parents Convention Held In The ER (3:31)
6. Grandfather (4:39)
7. Texas Dolly - J. Kale Gilgore Tribute (3:02)
8. Weekly Wars - Endor Remix (4:45)
9. Imagination Express - Jesse Cannon Remix (4:53)

The following press release has been issued by Metal Mind:
Metal Mind Productions is proud to announce the release of a new live DVD by FLOTSAM AND JETSAM. The material entitled "Once In A Deathtime" consists of the show recorded at the 2008 edition of the Metalmania Festival.
FLOTSAM AND JETSAM is a Thrash Metal band formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1983. Their debut album "Doomsday For The Deceiver" is still considered by many as a milestone in the history of the genre. The record released in 1986 propelled original bass player Jason Newstead to international superstardom as a member of METALLICA. Not to be outdone, Flotsam then followed up with what some consider to be the most important thrash record of all time, "No Place For Disgrace". Then it was onward and upward to MCA records for three albums that allowed the band to grow musically while never losing the integrity their fans had come to expect. After their contract was up at MCA, the first and most welcome home for the band, Metal Blade Records, invited FLOTSAM AND JETSAM to rejoin their roster and help carry the banner of true Metal tradition proudly through the dark days of the rise of Nu Metal. The records "High", and "Unnatural Selection" settled the nerves of those fans that wondered what direction the band might go in this new landscape. "My God", produced by the illustrious Bill Metoyer, was hailed as the best, heaviest effort of the band in many years. "Dreams Of Death" from 2005 is their ninth and so far last album.
"Once In A Deathtime" DVD features an extremely intense show the band gave at the Metalmania Festival 2008, offering metalheads everything FLOTSAM AND JETSAM came to be respected for: brutal non-conformist sound, a slaughter of powerful, furious and perfectly executed thrash riffs, as well as excellent song-writing. With a great selection of songs from their discography, also including such classic compositions as "Doomsday For The Deceiver", "No Place For Disgrace", or "I Live You Die", the band treated their fans to one hell of a ride at this genuine Thrash Metal feast! The DVD also includes an interview with Craig Neilsen and Ed Carlson, biography, discography, photo gallery, desktop images, web links, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound.
The DVD will be available on June 16, 2008 (Europe only), also in a limited edition - including a CD with songs recorded at the Metalmania Festival!
Full details (tracklist, cover artwork) to follow soon!
