Swedish death/thrashers RAISE HELL have cancelled their previously announced North American tour. The group's official statement on the matter reads as follows:
"We are very sad to have to inform you that we unfortunately have to cancel our tour in the last minute. We have done all in our power to make this tour possible and we regret any inconvenience this may cause you."
"The reason for the cancellation is that one of our band members didn't get his visa approved, so the whole band wasn't allowed into the U.S. Our contact at the American embassy led us to believe that there would not be a problem to get the visa approval as long as we had the proper papers at hand. When we finally managed to get all the papers we needed and had an appointment at the embassy, they turned it down to our great disappointment." More...
BEHEADED has cancelled its appearance at the the 2007 edition of the Neurotic Deathfest, set to take place May 11-12 at the Dynamo Club in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The festival organizers have issued the following statement on the matter:
"Unfortunately we were informed that BEHEADED will not be participating in this year's Neurotic Deathfest after breaking earlier confirmed agreements. We briefly tried to salvage this situation by upgrading the initially agreed conditions, but this has also been rejected by the band. We're just as disappointed as all of you who wanted to see the band. Luckily we found a worthy replacement in Dutch death metal pride PROSTITUTE DISFIGUREMENT, who have agreed to take a day off from their studio session to perform on this year's Neurotic Deathfest. Due to this the running order is slightly changed as well."
The 2007 edition of the Neurotic Deathfest will include appearances by VITAL REMAINS, IMMOLATION, KRISIUN and GRAVE, among many others.

Sweden's PAIN OF SALVATION has issued the following update:
"We are sad to announce that Johan Langell [drums] has decided to leave the band, to focus on family. This is not a sudden decision, but something that has been pending for several years. As the band now rapidly continues to grow for each year, the time and commitment needed for being in studio and on tours increase. Not really wanting this, Johan chose to include the whole band in his doubts regarding this directly from the start, and now when the time has finally come.
"The search for a new drummer has started, but Johan will stay for the remaining gigs this year, and has also offered to help teach any new drummer his or her parts. 'Whoever the new drummer will be, I want us to have a relaxed relation,' he concludes. More...
