The Eyes Of A Traitor has signed a record deal with Listenable Records. THE EYES OF A TRAITOR came together in the summer of 2006. Finding their feet and own sound; the band take influences from a wide variety or artists, ranging from to the melodic sensibilities of bands such a Misery Signals, to the technicality of heavier bands such as Necrophagist, fusing together to create something unexpected from a band with an average age of 17.
Let age be no boundary; After the bands first miniCD "By Sunset," released by UK label Thirty days of Night Records, that has been home of Gallows and Bring me the Horizon, THE EYES OF A TRAITOR have had 3 UK tours and one European tour in the pipeline, high merchandise sales and are tipped as one of the most talented bands in the UK scene.
THE EYES OF A TRAITOR will storm the music scene this 2008 with the new full length CD (currently unnamed) due to be released with internationally acclaimed LISTENABLE RECORDS in late 2008, combining powerful, melodic, heavy and technical sounds together; big things are expected in the year to come.
According to The Pulse of Radio, APOCALYPTICA has enlisted FUEL frontman Toryn Green to handle lead vocals on the remainder of the quartet's current North American tour, which began on April 11 and continues through mid-May. The group initially enlisted vocalist Johnny Andrews, who co-wrote the band's current single, "I'm Not Jesus", to sing on the trek, but Andrews has been replaced after just a handful of shows. In addition to "I'm Not Jesus", Andrews also co-wrote another track called "S.O.S. (Anything But Love)". Both tunes are from APOCALYPTICA's new album, "Worlds Collide", which arrived in stores in the U.S. on April 15.
Billboard.com reports that Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland is recording his second solo album with famed indie rock producer Steve Albini and plans to release it in November.
Ex-Velvet Revolver vocalist Weiland broke the news earlier this week on "The Howard Stern Show," during which No Doubt drummer Adrian Young called in to reveal he is also participating on the project.
According to Weiland's publicist, the as-yet-untitled solo set will be released on Weiland's Soft Drive label, with distribution through RED/Sony. It is unknown if Weiland's previously recorded collaboration with producer Pharrell Williams, "Happy," will appear on the album.
Weiland's solo debut, "12 Bar Blues," was released in 1998. "My music is a little bit different, obviously, than Velvet Revolver music," Weiland told Billboard in late 2006, when he proclaimed the solo album to be "three-quarters done." "It's a little bit more on the esoteric side."
As previously reported, Stone Temple Pilots will embark on an extensive reunion tour May 17 at Columbus, Ohio,'s Rock on the Range festival, and have tentative plans to hit the studio later this year.

John commented about his guitar work in the band and the sound of the new album "At first I was apprehensive about playing guitar while singing, but it has worked out incredibly well. Also, I feel I'm more in touch with the material when we write, and the writing process itself has been smoother than ever. We also did more shows in 2007 than the years 2001-2006 combined. So what are we up to at the moment? Well, we're currently recording our next album. The drums are done, and right now we're focusing on guitars. We're recording eight songs for the album with a total playing time around 50 minutes. The songs sound huge and they have a bit of a different vibe (to us, at least). We're focusing on groove, dynamics and solid arrangements. Heavier, less technical guitars but some awesome drumming."

The Bloodstock team has announced that Swedish true metal trio GRAND MAGUS have been added to the bill for Bloodstock Open Air 2008.
Grand Magus were formed by vocalist Janne ‘JB’ Christoffersson and bassist Foxy who cut a couple of demos with drummer Fredrik ‘Trisse’ Liefvendahl before issuing a split 7" with Spiritual Beggars, who JB would later join. This secured them a deal with Rise Above who released their self-titled debut in 2001, follow-up "Monument" in 2003 and most recently "Wolf’s Return" in 2005. Trisse quit the band in 2006 and was replaced by Seb who will make his recording debut with the band on their as-yet-untitled fourth album which is due just in time for Bloodstock. Although the band’s sound has evolved over the years and they’ve often distanced themselves from the "stoner" tag, the combination of influences on "Wolf’s Return," taking in everything from Judas Priest to Candlemass, make them one of the best traditional metal acts to emerge in recent times.
ANOTHER ANIMAL — the band featuring GODSMACK members Tony Rombola on guitar, Robbie Merrill on bass and Shannon Larkin on drums — will release the second single from its self-titled debut album, "Fade Away," on May 13.
ANOTHER ANIMAL also includes original GODSMACK guitarist Lee Richards and former UGLY KID JOE frontman Whitfield Crane. Larkin told The Pulse of Radio that he personally wanted to bring Crane into the band to repay him for giving Larkin a job with UGLY KID JOE during the peak of that band's success. "He took me out of one of the darkest places in my life, when I was ready to just quit the music business," he said. "Well, Whit was in his own dark place, so I got to call him and say, 'Dude, guess what? I have this side project, so I'm offering you a chance now to be back on a major label and get your voice on the radio again. I was able to return a favor that was life-changing for me."
"Another Animal" has sold sold 23,000 copies in the United States since its October 2007 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
ANOTHER ANIMAL last year completed a U.S. tour with labelmates ALTER BRIDGE.
Fan-filmed video footage of ANOTHER ANIMAL performing the song "Broken Again" at the Irving Plaza in New York City on October 16, 2007 can be viewed below. More...
