EVERY TIME I DIE have issued the following update:
“Unless you’re a sorority girl, you’re probably not accustomed to dudes telling you that something called “The Big Dirty” is about to invade your personal space. Well we here at EVERY TIME I DIE are doing just that, so open your holes wide. Your EAR holes. This August, Ferret Music will release what can only be described as ‘EVERY TIME I DIE’s newest album’ known as ‘The Big Dirty.’ Chock-a-block with riffs that only 4 months of a Buffalo, New York winter could spawn, this new record will undoubtedly satisfy those that have followed the band since their first full length release ‘Last Night In Town‘ all the way through ‘Gutter Phenomenon.’ And if you were one of the 38 confused men who strayed somewhere along that interim, we welcome you back with open arms. You want ironically distasteful rock and roll pretenses? You got em. You want riffs so filthy they should have a moustache and wear elastic work out pants when they go out to eat at the Olive Garden? Right here, boys. You want mosh parts so brutal it could star opposite Charles Bronson in ANY of the Death Wish movies? Come get some. Produced by Steve Evetts, The Big Dirty is the CD you would compile if asked to make a mix of the BEST EVERY TIME I DIE songs you haven’t heard yet. Ten plus tracks that tore from our filthy hands like the creature that jumped out of that dudes stomach in Alien. If this ain’t your favorite heavy release of the year, I’ll eat my damn hat. Look for us on Sounds of the Underground this summer with CHIMAIRA and GWAR. And if you’re in Australia, firstly “G’day Mate!” and secondly get your ass ready for us and NORMA JEAN in early June. Who’s buyin?”

Deranged will enter a small local recording studio this weekend to "cut a demo" for all of the songs that will be featured on the next full length album (as announced earlier to be titled "The red light murder case").
Rikard Wermén (drums) comments; "It'll just be a quick and pretty rough recording. Basically something for Martin (vocals) and I to have when working on the lyrics... There's all in all 10 tracks and as it feels now, they are all strong and will most likely end up on the CD."
Further on, the band are planning to do some serious touring later this year to support the release of "The red light murder case". Release date are set to november and it'll be released on Regain Records.
Technical metal pioneers ATHEIST have announced their last-ever U.S. performances.
This weekend the band will hit the stage for the last time in their native Florida with headlining shows in Tampa and Miami (at Brass Mug and Club Flower respectively). Following, ATHEIST will perform at a handful of European festivals before a final show in New York City. A listing of ATHEIST live appearances can be found online here with more info on the band’s final show to be announced soon.
Last January, ATHEIST guitarist/vocalist Kelly Schaefer reassembled much of what was widely considered the bands classic recording lineup (Schaefer, bassist Tony Choy, and drummer Steven Flynn) to perform a select number of one-off shows to celebrate the re-issue of their wildly-influential catalog (1988’s ‘Piece of Time‘, 1993’s ‘Elements‘, and the 1991’s legendary ‘Unquestionable Presence‘). Among those shows were performances at such legendary festivals such as Germany’s Wacken Open Air, Norway’s Hole In The Sky Fest, Italy’s Evolution Fest, England’s Bloodstock Open Air, and the Los Angeles Murderfest. U.K. death metal band AKERCOCKE has made its entire new album, "Antichrist", available for streaming at Earache.com. Due on May 28 via Earache Records), the CD's concept was previously described by the group as "wonderfully rich. It represents a supreme opposite. The epithet of the great antagonist provided a wonderful metaphoric framework within which to work. We have strived to make elements of the recording as evil as possible. Creating atmospheres that are deliberately uncomfortable. Spurred on by a rage enhanced by the complete disgust with our recent history, we didn't have to dig very deeply to find the malice and rancour sufficient to evoke the spirit of violent antithesis. Antichrist is the perfect banner for a collection of songs that are tales of opposition, sanguinary lust and the axiom of our raison d'etre."
"Antichrist" track listing:
01. Black Messiah
02. Summon The Antichrist
04. The Promise
05. My Apterous Angel
06. Distant Fires Reflect The Eyes Of Satan
07. Man Without Faith Or Trust
08. The Dark Inside
09. Footsteps Resound In An Empty Chapel
AKERCOCKE will team up with CEPHALIC CARNAGE, TED MAUL and BURNING SKIES for a U.K. tour beginning May 16 in Nottingham.
