"First of all, everything is going smoothly. We have basic ideas for 11 songs, and we have started to record them as demo versions in our home studio in Copenhagen. There's still a long way to go, but the new stuff sounds absolutely promising. It's dirty, melodic, thrashy, epic, melancholic and... drum roll... heavy. Norwegian black metallers CREST OF DARKNESS will release their fifth full-length album, "Give Us the Power to Do Your Evil", on October 12 via My Kingdom Music. The CD was recorded with producer Giuseppe Orlando (NOVEMBRE) at the Outer Sound Studios in Rome, Italy.

Commented CREST OF DARKNESS bassist/vocalist Ingar Amlien: "I'm very happy with the recordings! We had to work very fast while we had only two weeks in the studio, but thanks to Giuseppe Orlando we made it!! It was a pleasure to work with him! I know that all the bandmembers did a great job, but without a good producer I don't believe we could have done this. Most of all I'm very happy because it's sounding very 'honest.' It's not perfect, but that was not what I wanted. This is as close as you can come to the heart of CREST OF DARKNESS." More...
