"We sincerely apologize to all of our fans and friends in Mississauga for being unable to make it to the show tonight. Our van is currently being repaired and we're stuck in Buffalo, NY.

U.K. act Furyon has posted the following message online about parting ways with the band's guitar player:
"Furyon is sad to announce that guitarist Pat Heath is standing down from the band. We wish him all the best for the future. Furyon will be carrying on with writing and new members have been placed. News to follow."
Pat had this to say: "It's with a very heavy heart and a tear in my eye that I have decided to step down from my role as guitar player in Furyon. Furyon is a band that is made up of 100% genuine human beings, and naturally, there is no animosity whatsoever.
"I have had a blast in my four years in the project and depart with only fond memories, most of all the people who come out to the shows. I am constantly amazed by the fact that this band only ever seems to attract a really diverse and wonderful group of kind hearted and positive followers, all of whom I have been proud to meet and entertain.
"Please, you can always drop in and say hello at this location. Thank you to Furyon, Rock N Growl Management and of course, our crew Kev and Charlie."
Southern hard rock/metal act Break of Aggression has joined forces with Cataclysmic Metal Records for the release of an as-yet-untitled debut album. The label comments:
"Founded by frontman Brandon Maginley in 2011, BOA quickly became a rising force in Binghamton NY’s metal scene and recorded a 3-song demo at Nick Killmeier’s Crossfire Productions in Kirkwood NY, which achieved a very high ranking and praise on Roadrunner’s SignMeTo social network. Break of Aggression is:
Brandon Maginley – Lead Guitar & Vocals
Sean Fienbloom – Rhythm Guitar
Charlie Fienbloom – Bass
Ryan Striley – Drums
"The band will be returning to Crossfire Productions to complete work on the album, and they are very excited and have been waiting a long time for the opportunity to make the Break of Aggression album and finally get their music officially released. BOA look forward to breaking out of the studio with their album and returning to the stage beginning with a Big Bash CD Release Party.

The evildoers at Cvlt Nation are currently soiling the lands with an exclusive track premiere of “Giving Up” from Italian sludge deviants Grime. Check out the song right here. The following press release was also issued about the track:
"The filthy little number comes courtesy of the band’s forthcoming new full-length 'Deteriorate.' The follow-up to their six-track self-released debut spews forth a severing platter of dirgy deliciousness fit for bong hitting, grave robbing and general acts of debauchery. Self-described as the sound of 'a decaying swamp filled with trash,' Grime’s slow, heavy groove is earnest and vicious; their gargantuan guitar riffs, sharp and crusted with rust. Recorded at Igloo Audiofactory in Italy by Enrico Baraldi and mixed and mastered by sound wizard Billy Anderson Deteriorate’s eight tracks reek of animosity and disgust! Fans of Iron Monkey, Noothgrush, Grief and Eyehategod, beware." More...

Detheamber comments on the guest appearances: "It was a huge honor for us to have Ralph and Daniel on two separate songs on the album. Ralph is one of the greatest metal guitarists of all time and Daniel's band Vildhjarta is one of the most important bands today in modern metal."
Rain Without End Records has issued the following announcement about inking a deal with Black Autumn:
"We are very pleased to announce that the German black/doom metal project Black Autumn has signed with Rain Without End Records.
"Black Autumn was originally reated as a black metal project in 1995 in the vein of Emperor, Satyricon and Ulver. Over the years the music has slowly evolved to include elements of doom, black, post-rock and ambient elecronica to create a unique blend of dark, atmospheric music. To date Black Autumn already has multiple releases including demos, splits, EP's and full lengths.
Black Autumn has joined the Rain Without End Records/Naturmacht Productions family with a long term deal that will see multiple future releases from the band. The first of these releases will be called 'Losing The Sun' which is planned for 2014.
The official lyric video for the song "Catharsis" from the German melodic death metal band Burial Vault can be seen below. The track comes off the band's second full-length album "Incendium," which will be released on May 24th via Apostasy Records. The album was recorded at the Soundlodge Studio with producer Joerg Uken (Dew-Scented, Nightfall, God Dethroned a.o.)
"Incendium" is designed as a closed concept which is heavily inspired by parts of the classic dystopian novel "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury. Here, the quintet uses both the music as well as the texts as a medium to tell the transformation of a man in a near future from a blind follower to a critical opponent in four action-packed chapters.

Germany's Agathodaimon has checked in with the following update about releasing the new "In Darkness" album:
"As reported earlier, studio work is going fine, and we’re confident that all will be done until end of April. In case you might not know it yet: Release date for IN DARKNESS is set to the 28th of June!
"And hey, we finally can reveal the album cover... Artwork was done by Hicham Haddaji of Strychneen Studio, check out his other works at this location.
"So far, the basic recordings are done. What’s left? Fine tuning, some details here and there, and of course the mix! Well, how will the new album sound like, you might ask? In a word, awesome. Yes, that’s what YOU decide in the end. But we’re sure it has a lot of killer songs, and we did step into the right direction- though it’s also a step backwards. Back to the roots, to be clear.
"We collectively felt that PHOENIX reached a point that’s as far as we can go, without denying our roots. So we summoned the spirit of the old times (of course without trying to pretend it’s 1995).
What does that mean? We put focus on atmosphere and got rid of elements which did not fit to our vision. To summarize, I’d say it’s less technical, but more dense, coming rather from the heart than our heads.. sounds strange maybe, but you’ll get it once you’ll hear the first songs. More...

Space Mirrors has checked in with the following statement about the band's upcoming "The Other Gods" album:
"The new Space Mirrors album 'The Other Gods' is the second in the 'Cosmic Horror' series inspired by the stories of H.P. Lovecraft. It is a wonderful blend of dynamic space rock, prog metal and classic hard rockwith influences not only from Hawkwind but also Blue Öyster Cult, Eloy and Black Sabbath! 'The Other Gods' shows a further development in terms of sound and musicians' line-up with the recruitment of Claudio Tirincanti (Blaze Bayley, Tim 'Ripper' Owens, etc.) to play all drums and Gabriel Monticello (Spaceseed, Albany Symphony Orchestra, etc.) to play bass on all songs.
"Sparky Simmons (Acid FM) recorded most of the guitars and Fabio Bartolini (Hate Profile) played guitars on one song. Martyr Lucifer delivered his best vocals’ performance to date. Bless (Hortus Animae) recorded some wonderful piano. Cyndee Lee Rule provided a violin string section and Dr. James Hodkinson (Shadowlight, Pre-Med) played mellotron and moog. The legendary Nik Turner (Hawkwind’s co-founder, Space Ritual, etc.) once more recorded sax and flute.
"Everything was done under the coordination of keyboardist Alisa Coral, the creator of Space Mirrors. Artwork and 12-page booklet were again created by Kevin Sommers. Space Mirrors again confirmed its international status by having in its ranks musicians from Italy, USA, UK and Russia!" More...

Drenched in deep mystery, Dark Buddha Rising is a Finnish occult psychedelic drone-doom metal group with no biographical information available.
"Described by Roadburn Festival as 'sprawling dirge of doom metal and myriad cryptic incantations luring the listener into a trance of doom-induced sensory depravation,' the band has released three self-financed full-length albums (Ritual IX, Entheomorphosis, Abyssolute Transfinite) on vinyl only. U.K. act Allerjen has posted the following message online about calling it quits and lining up a final show:
"This is not easy to say, so here it goes..... After over 10 amazing years and many, many gigs up and down the UK, Allerjen are sad to announce that the band is calling it a day. The decision comes after much thought, many conversations and is certainly a mutual split, definitely not down to 'musical differences.'
"The most important thing about Allerjen has been the people and friendship, and that's how it'll stay! It's probably how we've outlasted most bands on the scene! Always best to leave on a high and nothing will ever top a Download Festival appearance to be honest, and was a day that none of us will ever forget.
"We do, of course, have many people/bands to thank for their help/support/friendship over the years so hold yer breath, here goes!
"All the love and support of our long suffering Allerjen widows over the years, our wives and girlfriends. The massive support of one guy since the beginning - Sir Luke Hayhurst Take a bow! The guys in Jusure/A Moment Lost, especially Louis Jeffries and Matt Matt Matt Matt Matt Jackson. The amazing Man Must Die. Kim Bell, thanks for all the support! All the chaps in Sevenyearsdead/Subhuman Race Pete, Jez, Nuno and G. Two of the greatest bands ever to grace the Metal scene, and very good friends The Inbreds and FourWayKill. Mike Hyslop and Stephen Lambert of the mighty Scumface. The Damnation Festival organisers, Jim Beerman and everyone involved with Beermageddon. The fans, the people who bought merch and gave us your hard earned money! And finally........Anyone we've missed, sorry, just anyone helped the Aller-train keep rollin'. Thank you! More...

Italian symphonic death metal act Fleshgod Apocalypse is currently working on a third full-length with producer Stefano Morabito at 16th Cellar Studio. Cristiano Trionfera (guitar, vocals) states:
"We are tracking guitars now, and the result is amazing... Stefano is nailing it and we know the album will sound incredibly powerful."
Tommaso Riccardi (guitar, vocals) commented: "The concept of this album is based on the myth of the Labyrinth of Knossos and every character related to it. We focused on the philological aspect in order to represent all the elements of the classic world and, through a manic and meticolous research, we managed to create a metaphor with our times, as the maze can be associated with the endless search for what we really are. We're sure you will be stunned by this as much as we are.” More...
July 2nd will mark the return of Autopsy, the U.S. master of brutality, with the band's sixth studio opus of horror and all-out madness, "The Headless Ritual," on Peaceville Records. The following press release was issued about the album:
"Featuring the returning quartet of Chris Reifert, Eric Cutler, Danny Coralles, and Joe Trevisano, The Headless Ritual is a relentless monster of violent and brutal death metal mastery delivered in the unmistakable Autopsy style of chaotic riffing, insane solos and doom-filled interludes, all served with the band's unhinged brand of vocal sickness. The album was recorded and mixed April 2013 at Fantasy Studios, San Francisco, Calif. with Adam Munoz, and features cover artwork by renowned artist Joe Petagno (Motörhead, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin)."
Said drummer/vocalist Chris Reifert, "Expect nothing less than the monstrous brutality that Autopsy has been known to offer. Laurels will not be rested upon, trends will not be followed and mercy will not be shown. Mark your calendars for June and pick out a coffin to lie down and die in. Darkness and death await..."

Pulverised Records has announced the signing of death/thrash band Orator from Bangladesh. Formed in 2008, Orator has so far released one 7" EP, a live demo tape and one full-length album entitled "Kapalgnosis." After the release of that album earlier this year on Armée De La Mort Records, the band decided to get straight to work on the follow up. The yet-to-be-titled second full-length will contain nothing but straight up old-school death thrashing Tandava in the vein of their debut. Orator plans to release the album by 2014.
And as the band states: "We are presently working on new songs and we look forward to revealing them in our second album through Pulverised Records. More announcements on the upcoming album will follow in the course of time. Orator forms this mighty pact with Pulverised Records to bring its old-school Death Metal Aghori cult to a whole different level of existence both locally and internationally. The band therefore looks forward to a long and successful relation with the mighty Pulverised Records."
Pulverised Records A&R manager Calvin further commented: "This was totally unexpected. In all honesty, no one would have imagined in their wildest dreams that there is much of an extreme scene in Bangladesh. Orator basically decimated all forms of sensibility and logic that we knew (or lack thereof) in the Bangladeshi Metal scene and ripped our faces off with their debut 'Kapalgnosis!' We can't seem to stop raving about Orator and are convinced that Orator is easily on par with the death/thrash metal legends and greats of our time. Those who have embraced the intensity and savagery of the early 90's death metal will instantly dig Orator!" More...

Pioneers of early 90's death metal Imprecation have risen to once again burn the true meaning of Texas Death Metal into the minds of the masses with the long-awaited release of their first full-length, "Satanae Tenebris Infinita," coming out on Dark Descent Records. The album will be in stores and distros worldwide on June 25th and is now available for pre-order on CD and vinyl at the Dark Descent Records Webstore.
Hailing from Texas, Imprecation have been firmly entrenched in the underground since its inception in 1991. The early 90s saw the band release a couple of acclaimed demos and an EP (Drowned Records) followed by a compilation of material in 1995 titled "Theurgia Goetia Summa" on Repulse Records (later reissued several times). Not long after this essential death metal compilation, the band went on hiatus until its resurrection in 2009.
"Satanae Tenebris Infinita" is definitely not a departure from IMPRECATION's earlier style but a continuation of the destiny that was interrupted due to the band's break back in 1998. The album is 40 minutes in length with cover art from long-time ally, Mr. Chris Moyen (Abominant, Incantation). Album tracks "From Beyond the Fiery Temples" is streaming below, while "Blood Dominion" can be found streaming at this location. Vocalist David Herrara recently spoke with Brett Stevens of DeathMetal.org about the band's return to glory. Read the interview here.
Finnish black/death metal entity Lantern will release its recently completed debut full-length, "Below," on Dark Descent Records this summer. The album will be in stores on June 25th and available for pre-order on CD, black vinyl and red vinyl via the Dark Descent Records Webstore.
After letting the dust of their acknowledged 2011 EP "Subterranean Effulgences," Lantern has returned to deliver a new slab of dark and atmospheric death metal performed in the ancient vein. Compiling seven strongly distinct macabre tales and covering thirty-eight minutes, artwork for "Below" comes courtesy of Alexander Brown (Vorum, Mitochondrian, et. al.). Album track "Entrenching Presences," which has been streaming on youtube, is posted below.
Thrash band Dark Design from Raleigh, North Carolina has recently signed with Heaven & Hell Records for the release of its debut, "Prey for the Future." Since early 2010 Dark Design, comprised of members Ray Lewis (guitar), Mike Joyner (guitar), Andrew Bertrand (vocals), and rhythm section Matt (bass) and Robbie Mercer (drums), have built a strong fan base in their local metal scene.
They played the 2012 Warriors of Metal Festival in Ohio while in the process of working on the debut album. The band is currently finishing up the recording with John E. Wooten (Widow U.S) and is now in the final mix down. Mastering is set to be done by Jamie King at The Basement Studios, with release set for late summer or early fall. Check out three tracks that Dark Design has been streaming over at reverbnation below in the player.
Texas crossover maniacs Birth A.D. have released another new song off their full-length debut, "I Blame You." The tune, "Cause Problems" is currently pissing people off at this location. "I Blame You" is being released through the newly launched Unspeakable Axe Records via the label's partnership with Dark Descent Records. The album is set to be in stores by late May or can be ordered directly through the label.

The album's artwork was done by Chris Angelucci with Mark Sugar and Usha Rajbhandari.

Broken Hope has revealed the title of the band's 6th studio release as "Omen of Disease." The album title - created by chief lyricist, Jeremy Wagner - is also an actual album track, which marks the first official Broken Hope "title track" since the 1991 debut album, "Swamped in Gore."
Jeremy Wagner comments about this upcoming release: "Some time ago, a festering death metal prophecy indicated something sick and brutal was coming back from the dead. The malignant signs became evident when Broken Hope first resurrected from the grave and then went on tour. A more sinister foreboding followed when Broken Hope wrote a new death metal album for the world to hear. Today, I'm a harbinger, here to alert everyone of a 'death metal omen' that is upon us... I speak of the new Broken Hope album, 'Omen of Disease.' The album title itself reeks of a musical offering that is nothing short of gruesome. 'Omen of Disease' will be released to infect everyone worldwide this summer. I promise: this death metal album is a most savage, feral, pestilential, and lethal creation. You've been warned..."
"Omen of Disease" was recorded between two studios: drums were exclusively recorded at Belle City Sound in Racine, WI with engineer Chris Wisco, and the remaining bulk of the album was completed at Mercenary Digital Studios in Zion, IL with engineer Scott Creekmore. "Omen of Disease" is slated for a worldwide release in late summer 2013 via Century Media Records. Catch the band live:
