Dawn of Desolation is now writing new material and has issued an update about it:
"I just want to take a second to let everyone know of our whereabouts and future plans. After releasing our self-recorded Free EP (TEOAGE) a few months ago, and playing it out for quite a while now, we've arrived at the next point writing-wise.
"Our music is changing and fast (we are already playing material that is in-the-works for the next release)! Influences are now coming through in a manner that allows us be ourselves a little bit more. This is an awesome thing for us due to everyone in the group having such a wide taste in music.
"We plan to 'lighten up' on the shows for a little while as we have begun the writing process once more and want to dedicate all our time and focus to that. When back, we plan to venture further out and tour in the near future.
We'd also love to say 'THANK YOU' to anyone and everyone who comes out to shows, enjoys and/or hates the music, as well as to the GREAT GREAT bands we've shared stages with! It is because of all these things that we are putting so much effort in; time-wise, financially, and artistically."

Post-grunge band Hurt made waves in 2007 with their critically acclaimed "Vol. II" release. With lyrics that read more like poetry, both "Vol. I" and "Vol. II" drew in audiences, despite little air time. As primary songwriter, lead vocalist, and composer and violinist since the age of ten, Jay Loren offers a unique outlook and personality to his fans. I recently spoke with Loren about Hurt’s new album, "Goodbye To The Machine," which was released April 7, 2009, as well as the changes in the band’s lineup, and touring experiences. More...

Norwegian death metal band Blood Red Throne issued the following update about performing at Norway's Inferno Festival last week:
"First day of Inferno and we just had to set the standard. It was 7 years since the last time we played here and we were ready to unleash hell. Besides a crappy sound check and also not expecting too many people, we were met by an almost overcrowded venue screaming for Blood Red Throne. This was such an inspiration and we hit it off from the very beginning. The playing was great, the sound was great and the audience made mosh pits, stage dived and shouted for more. The feedback was totally overwhelming during and after the show and we had a great time indeed!"
