Black Cobra will return from the shores of Europe to start another tour of the U.S. This tour will see them do a bunch of dates with At A Loss alumni Rwake, who has a new album on Relapse called "Voices of Omens."
Black Cobra will be also appearing at this year infamous Emissions From The Monolith episode 9. This year will see kick ass bands such as Kylesa, Blue Cheer, Keelhaul, Minsk, and tons more. The festival has been moved it to Austin and Emos this year.
Black Cobra will then continue their U.S. treck by going it alone until they reach their new base of operations in San Francisco. They will have the last copies of the Oceanic Abyss colored vinyl for sale.

Live footage of rock against rock pioneers SLEEPYTIME GORILLA MUSEUM’s recent sold-out show at New York City’s prestigious Bowery Ballroom is now available for download online.

The End Records has set a release date of May 29th, 2007 for the band’s upcoming new album ‘In Glorious Times.’
While touring the U.K. supporting TRIVIUM, Asheville, North Carolina-based classic metal quartet SANCTITY was involved in an accident last night (Tuesday, April 17) in Nottingham, England when a taxi hit the band's van, driving them into a brick wall. Thankfully, no one was injured, just a few bumps and bruises. The band is hitching a ride with their friends in TRIVIUM until the van can be repaired.

SANCTITY will be on the road with TRIVIUM through the start of June when they return back to the States.

A video clip of REDEMPTION — the Los Angeles-based progressive metal band led by guitarist/songwriter Nicolas van Dyk and featuring vocal legend Ray Alder of FATES WARNING — performing the song "Nocturnal" at this year's Headway Festival (held April 7-8 at P60 in Amstelveen, the Netherlands) has been posted online at YouTube.
As previously reported, Sean Entrikin of PRYMARY will fill in for REDEMPTION guitarist/songwriter Nicolas van Dyk for several dates on the latter band's upcoming U.S. tour with DREAM THEATER.
Said Dyk: "For those of you aware of my rather demanding 'day job,' I personally will be making as many of these shows as possible (hopefully the significant majority of them). After a long silent period, Japanese Death metallers DEFILED are back with a new website, a new drummer and new live dates. Next summer, the band will tour Australia for the first time!

Lindsay Taylor is currently in critical condition at a Boston hospital after the car she was riding in was hit by Godsmack front-man Sully Erna's Hummer H3. The accident occurred on April 11th and at the time the injuries were not considered life-threatening, however Taylor was said to be in a coma and on life support on Saturday, April 14th. However her condition has been improving over the last few days and is no long listed as critical.
Erna has expressed that he is "shaken up" and "traumatized" about the girl who was left with life threatening injuries after the wreck he was involved in last week. Sully's Hummer H3, which rear-ended a toyota camry near Boston, was the third car in a 3-car pileup.
Erna's manager says, "He's deeply concerned for the girl who was hurt in this unfortunate accident. Sully's thankful he got out with a split lip and some aches and pains, but he's traumatized about the girl."

TOOL has announced more rescheduled dates for its spring U.S. tour, which was postponed from its original mid-March start after drummer Danny Carey tore a bicep while picking up his dog at home. The trek will now commence on April 27 in las Vegas, Nevada. Nearly 40 shows have been confirmed so far, including a co-headlining appearance at Manchester, Tennessee's Bonnaroo Festival in mid-June.
According to Billboard.com, singer Maynard James Keenan has been working during TOOL's unexpected break on new music from his side project PUSCIFER. Keenan revealed at his MySpace page that AUDIOSLAVE/RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk have played on the tracks, along with ex-PRIMUS and A PERFECT CIRCLE drummer Tim Alexander. Keenan wrote that he plans to post songs on the page "within the next month or so."

Sol Invictus Recordings, the new label headed up by Guido Heijnens (formerly of Karmageddon Media and Mascot Records), has signed Cleveland, Ohio's black metal band BLACK TRINITY. The group's new full-length CD, titled "Bleed for Him", will feature songs originally intended for a six-song EP, samples of which can be heard on the band's MySpace page.
BLACK TRINITY recently named Prophryr Ov Tyre its new vocalist. According to a press release, Prophryr Ov Tyre "has shown tremendous dedication, writing ability and willing to cooperate with the band's message and [the group] therefore felt he was the perfect choice."
BLACK TRINITY's debut album, "Demonic Pleasures", was released last year via Apocalyptic Records. The band will open for NILE on August 9, FINNTROLL on September 26 and DARK FUNERAL and NAGLFAR on October 18. All shows will take place at Peabody's Down Under in Cleveland.
A brand new song from Charlotte, North Carolina-based death metallers WEHRWOLFE, entitled "Lightning War", has been made available for streaming on the band's MySpace page. The track comes off the group's upcoming album, "Return to Tyranny", which features the band's new lineup:

WEHRWOLFE, who parted ways singer Nathan Ellis (who has since joined DAYLIGHT DIES) in early 2004, released its debut CD, "Godless We Stand", in August 2003 via Magick Records.
North Carolina’s KILLWHITNEYDEAD have posted ten new songs online here and here. The tracks come off their upcoming new albums Nothing Less Nothing More and Hell To Pay, both of which will be released on June 5th.
Pennsylvania-based death metallers INCANTATION will embark on a South American headlining tour with labelmates FUNERUS this June.
Commented INCANTATION frontman/guitarist John McEntee: "This tour will kick ass! We have been waiting many years to play some of these countries. This also marks our return to Chile, which we haven't played since 1998 when we did the Chile metal fest with CANNIBAL CORPSE and DEATH. Also we look forward to returning to Colombia, which we haven't played since 1997 when we were the first North American death metal band to play there. We look foreword to playing for all you crazy die hard death metal heads. We are sure this will be a experience that we will never forget. I'm also playing with my other band FUNERUS. As part of the "People You Should Know" special, CNN.com users sent in their nominations for people they'd like to know more about and one such user was James Padgett of Indiana, who stated, "I would like to see a story on Otep Shamaya. She is the lead singer of the band Otep. She was sexually and emotionally abused as a child and now advocates for kids in that situation. Her lyrics seem to send the message: Get mad, then get help." Other "People You Should Know" nominee recipients include Reverend Dr. Michael Beckwith as well as U2's frontman, Bono. CNN.com chose to feature a photo of Otep, however.
With regards to the appointing of Otep for CNN.com's "People You Should Know", Otep Shamaya states, "This is an unexpected honor to be nominated on my favorite news site."

Australia's symphonic/gothic/classical act VIRGIN BLACK will tour North America in June and July this year.
Commented VIRGIN BLACK singer/songwriter Rowan London, "It's been four years since our minor but magnificent U.S. tour with AGALLOCH and ANTIMATTER and it seems it's long overdue for VIRGIN BLACK to return. This time we shall not be so stingy with dates and will visit the US, Canada and Mexico. Beginning with shows in Canada and the U.S. Northeast in mid-June, we'll then play three shows in Mexico before the band joins up with Finland's TO/DIE/FOR on June 26th and subsequently visit many a locale."
