Deep Space Destructors is a triumvirate that got its start in Oulu, Finland, in 2011. The band was created around the members’ mutual love for 60’s and 70’s blues, hard rock, prog and psychedelia. The band added influences from stoner and doom genres, resulting in their brand of progressive doomsday spacerock. Deep Space Destructors mixed and mastered three songs in the fall of 2011 and released them earlier this year on its new EP "I." Markus Raisanen from Kudos Kollektiv provided the artwork for the EP, which you may stream at this location or below in the widget.
Racine, Wisconsin brutal death metal band Putrid Pile will be releasing its new album shortly. Titled "Blood Fetish," this marks the fourth full-length release for the band. Putrid Pile commissioned the artwork from Wim De Vries and Sevared Records graphics. The band also has a live DVD coming out "Live at Obscene Extreme 2011," recorded and produced by the Lunatic Media team. Australian grind/hardcore band Captain Cleanoff is streaming its new single "Hipster Holocaust" over on its ReverbNation page. You can listen to it in the player below, along with several other Captain Cleanoff tracks. The new material features Blood Duster's Jason PC on bass, who entered the band in 2010. Captain Cleanoff has also recorded nine songs late in 2011, which are intended for a bunch of split 7"s including one with The Kill.
Italian melodic metal act Ravenscry has issued the following announcement about releasing the acoustic "Parenthesis of a Dream State" EP as a free download:
"One year ago we released One Way Out. We wanted to find a way to thank you all for the support you gave us and we realized this acoustic EP during the Scandinavian Tour. This is a gift for you, just download it and listen, it's totally free... and if you appreciate our free services tell us and/or support us by donating!"

Be'lakor has posted a new song online for streaming titled "Remnants," which can be heard in the player below. The band also commented:

Miami, Florida's Paris is Burning is set to release the new EP "Noroi" on April 23rd, 2012. In anticipation of the impending release, the band has now posted a new song from the EP online.

U.K. act Annotations of an Autopsy has issued the following statement online about going on hiatus for an indefinite period:
"So incase you dont know, we are now officially on hiatus, we have a few festival dates later this year that we will still be playing and 2 local shows but we will not be touring or releasing music for a while now, thanks for all your support and for making the last tour so good!"
The band also later posted this message via Facebook:
"So you know, we haven't broken up, we are taking a break."

Many of the world's top guitar shredders fit into two types of personalities. There are the overindulgent ones with inflated egos and there are the ones with quiet self-confidence that are in it because of their love for metal music. Jeff Waters of Canadian band Annihilator fits into the latter category. He lets others put him in their charts for top guitar players in metal while he quietly goes about pursuing the field that he loves - creating music with his band and others.
Jeff loves what he does, for he's been in it for over 28 years since Annihilator put out its first demo "Welcome to Your Death" in 1984. That, and the subsequent couple of demos released, were among the top traded demo tapes in the mid eighties - giving even Metallica and Megadeth a run for their money. In the early incarnation of Annihilator, Jeff had John Bates on vocals and went through quite a few musicians in the rhythm section, even replacing Bates with Randy Rampage from D.O.A. The problem was that the band members liked partying and going to clubs, leading to the turnover. More...
Brazilian power metal band Kattah is streaming its debut album "Eyes of Sand" over at Digmetalworld. You can also listen to the nine track album in the player below. Kattah describes its sound as "Arabian music with the speed and power of metal." "Eyes of Sand" features guest appearances by Fabrizio Di Sarno and Fernando Quesada of the Brazilian group Sahman. Fernando also produced "Eyes of Sand," which was mixed and mastered at Universal Mastering Studios in New York. The album artwork on Kattah's new one was done by Antonio Cesar, and its tracklisting is featured here. Prolific Mexican death metal band Evil Entourage is streaming its fourth release, the six song endeavor "The Opposition," over on Soundcloud. Evil Entourage, who hail from Tampico, have an EP and two other full-length albums to their credit. This latest one, "The Opposition," is being released on Chaos Records. Also check out the first official video Evil Entourage did awhile back for the track "Sceptic to the Cross," which was taken from the album "Desecrators," after the jump. Evil Entourage also just took off on its Satanic Propaganda tour of Mexico.
Rings of Saturn has posted a pre-production sampler of its upcoming 2012 album, which is streaming below. Currently, Rings of Saturn just hit the road touring with Cattle Decapitation, Origin, Decrepit Birth, Aborted and Battlecross on the "Occupation Domination Tour." Rings of Saturn's current vocalist Ian Bearer won Carnifex's vocalist contest, which put him on stage with them at the Oakland Metro Opera House on March 29th.
