Winter Solstice, who have been plagued by line-up instability in recent months, have officially announced their break-up. The group has released the following statement:
"For those of you who have yet to hear, we at the Winter Solstice camp have decided to call it quits. Each of our members was feeling pulled in different directions and it seemed that it was time for us to go the way of the band and pursue other things. Several members, along with members of Everything Falls Together, have already formed a new band called Ghost of a Fallen Age. You can check out a demo track here. We are grateful for the time we had and are even more grateful to the people that made it possible. Thanks very much to everyone at Metal Blade for working so hard with us. We'd also like to thank Scott and Ian for working with us every step of the way. We are forever grateful to our friends in Twelve Tribes, As I Lay Dying, Throwdown, The Showdown, Evergreen Terrace, As Cities Burn, and Bloodlined Calligraphy for the memories we have with them. More than any of these, we want to thank anyone who came to the shows and gave us the opportunity to share our music with them. We can not thank all of you enough for your support. Be prepared for the brutalness of Ghost of a Fallen Age."

Chimaira and Roadrunner Records have officially parted ways. The band has released the following explanation:
"We asked to be let out of the contract and they graciously agreed to our request. We (Chimaira and Roadrunner) had not been seeing eye to eye on some key issues and came to a mutual agreement to end our relationship - and we are leaving on good terms with everyone there.
Bands change labels all the time, but in this day and age everyone on the internet is an industry expert and will come up with their own theories as to 'what happened.' There is nothing more going on than what we already stated."
