The Music as a Weapon 4 Tour is not just a couple of bands tagging along with Disturbed for a romp around the states. It is an all day festival of skin art, extreme sports, and music in addition to the headliner bands that draw the crowds in the first place. It all sounded wonderful to me when I bought my tickets. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out that way. More...

It's about the new PSYCHOSTICK.” More...

Vocalist Jape of Finnish metallers To/Die/For has issued the following announcement about the band calling it a day:
"My nerves, stress level and Life came to the point that i really need to get some rest, and say goodbye for these Stressful and still nice days with TDF Since 2005 we have been through so many shitty things. We have been unlucky to meet so many shitty promoters etc. FUCK YOU ALL (this is for all of those so called promoters who ruined some of our tours, and are also one of TDF..s killers.) Also i have to thank some promoters, like AYU from Mexico! and of course we met other great and friendly promoters too around the world!but...a few asshole really can kill you!?
"Italy visit a couple of years ago, and U.S tour 2007 really sucked a huge part of my/our energy and motivation. It was a miracle that i continued after U.S tour until these days! Now, one booking agency tried to handle our first South-American tour and also things with this did not work.Local promoters here and there did not pay their part for the main promoters in time etc. They just could not handle things which had to be clear. I am so sad and pissed off this tour did not happen...AGAIN! We are so sorry for our fans there.
"There was only 9 shows totally confirmed for almost five weeks? And many more not that “handled” things. They seemed to be working very hard for us, but still...Again i felt like “we have been through this shit before” Also all these line-up changes always stressed me a lot and made me sad, but still everyone who played with me in TDF were great persons! Every line-up change killed a little part of me...well exept one!
"With our latest line-up we tried to write new songs, and we had some “raw”songs, but there was One big problem! No one seemed to like same kind of songs. Latest album came out in 2006 and after that we had only one new song? And we are not satisfied with it eather. Somethings must be wrong i think!? More...
Austrian black metal band Abigor has issued the following update about several new upcoming releases:
"Before we unleash the split project with BLACKLODGE, which took larger and more monumental forms than we first conceived (and, how could it be possible NOT to expand and delay something true to its infinitely flowing, fluctuating and interlocking concept of "Time vs:sv nataS"), the next in a line of forthcoming releases will be an ultimate link between ABIGOR..s past, present and future.
"16 years since we first joined forces under the banner of ABIGOR, 10 years since it’s original release on Napalm Records, 2 years since PK & TT reunited and AR & END ALL LIFE reinforced this unit to execute the devil’s work (as well as to our own self-realization, illumination, plenary indulgence and the lashing of our minds), we bring forth a new version of an album written in 1998 and first recorded in early winter 1999, Channelling The Quintessence Of Satan.
"The original recording was a landmark in ABIGOR’s history. On one hand it represented the perfection of the imperfect method how we prepared, accomplished and engineered our visions in the 90s. On the other hand it also marked the end of the second ABIGOR trinity, with both Silenius (during the recordings) and TT (after the recordings) quit the service. Channelling The Quintessence Of Satan should have been the ultimate peak in the string of our releases in the past century, yet due to reasons inherent in the original version as well as external ones, this album never glared in its full glory. This is about to change. More...

"a)there would be something and
"b)no one would beat me to it and register the name.
"So, there you go. Have fun guys, I'll let you know when the actual official website is up and running. Over and out."

Swedish death metal band The Project Hate has posted a new promo video online for their upcoming album, which can be viewed below. The band also issued the follow statement about the album:
"As we have told you we will post video updates from the process of recording the new piece of blasphemy leading up to the release on July 6th, 2009 thru Vic Records. We have no specific dates or anything for when we will launch these updates so just keep on checking in and you won’t miss out on anything. We will also have some thoughts on the album from people involved with it; guest musicians, band members and whatnot. First off, let’s see what Mr. Dan Swanö (who mixed and mastered this masterpiece) has to say about it:
"Howdy folkz! So, it´s time once again for me to proclaim that I have mixed the best TPH record so far!! K has an uncanny ability to always top his own work, no matter how hard it may seem! Musically it sounds like classic TPH but the songs are better in every way. I know K worked his ass off, trying to top the previous record, and it must have been a nightmare, but to my ears the songs flow better and it was never boring to mix the record, because the music entertain you and challenge all your senses (yes, you can even taste blood in your mouth while listening to it!!!) Sonically I have tried to give each instrument their own little space within the mix and separate the bass from the guitars. The bass sounds like a blowtorch in your face and the rhythm-guitars rape your eardrums… but with finesse ;)
"Enjoy the sonic journey to hell and back!!" More...

The rumors that both Emmure guitarist Ben Lionetti and drummer Joe Lionetti exited the group over the weekend continue to persist. Sources close to the band still affirm that the pair have in fact left the band on less than friendly terms. While unconfirmed officially, Aaron Brooks of The Ghost Inside is said to have been tapped to temporarily fill-in on guitar for the group, while a family member of Emmure guitarist Jesse Ketive will be sitting in on drums. No shows are expected to be missed. However, despite these arrangements and words to the contrary, the bands management have stated that the siblings only left the tour to attend to a 'family emergency'.
