"The Dragon Has Come to Blot out the Stars", the new video from the Canadian black metal band ECLIPSE ETERNAL, can be viewed here. According to the group, the clip was shot during October/November 2007 by Dark Frame Pictures with director Adrian Kent and "was financed by the band and by Dark Frame Pictures exclusively (and it was not cheap as you can tell!). It was shot in 10+ locations over 4 full 6AM-to-4AM shoots in the fucking cold north. It required us to have our ex-bassist fall in a freezing lake and me then go in and pull her out, surround ourselves with a burning ring of fire (and almost burn along with it), walk back and forth through two feet of snow for six hours straight, have our drummer be blind for five-hour intervals, work with a child and lot of other fun stuff. Luckily for us, we had a great production crew and director making sure no one died or killed on another."
"The Dragon Has Come to Blot out the Stars" comes off ECLIPSE ETERNAL's latest album, "Ubermensch: Evolution beyond the Species", which was mixed in Sweden by Fredrik Nordström (DIMMU BORGIR, ZYKLON, OLD MAN'S CHILD). The CD is available now through The End Records distribution. More...

"The album's done, the video's done, the artwork is done, the photo sessions are all wrapped up and the single is ready to go to radio, rehearsals start tomorrow; wow……it’s been so busy, it feels like I’m leaving a few things out….and I probably am.
I know a lot of you have heard 'Saints Of Los Angeles' on the web….if you like the single, just wait 'til you see the video.
OK, my eyes are red, and its a rare night to not have to work,so im gonna sit back and feel good about all the hard work. I hope you all like it as much as we do."
SHINEDOWN vocalist Brent Smith has issued the following update:
"I wanted to reach out to all of the Shinedown fans myself and let you know what's going on firsthand. A lot has happened this past year and there have been some changes within the band that we've been meaning to tell you about. I love Jasin (Todd, guitarist) like a brother, we all do - he'll always be family and we hope all of the best for him, but, at this time, he's no longer with us in Shinedown. This all went down awhile ago, and I'm sorry to break this news today. I realize that this isn't the best timing, but with stuff like this, there really isn't ever a good time. We just felt like we couldn't wait any longer and had to let you all know. We've brought an old friend into SD - Nick Perri. Nick's an amazing guitarist and we've known him forever from our days on the road with SILVERTIDE (many of you were probably at those shows and remember him too). We also have a new bass player - Eric Bass. Just a fantastic musician and all around great guy - we can't wait for you to meet him. And you will very soon - we're hitting the road next month. I'm also happy to report that the new album is finished and we're so excited to share it with all of you. It's called The Sound Of Madness and will be out this summer... the first song is coming soon. Lastly, I just want to thank you again for all of your support. You're the best fans in the world and the reason we're even here. Without you, there is no Shinedown. Don't ever forget that - we definitely don't."
JUDAS PRIEST's official website has been updated with a preview of the artwork from the band's upcoming new album, Nostradamus. SINNER frontman / PRIMAL FEAR bassist Mat Sinner has issued the following studio update:
"We have a great time in the studio so far. Klaus Sperling finished drumming his tracks - we've planned to record 11 tracks and ended with 13. Thanks to AFM's Markus and Klaus for giving me a hard time in persuading me about a very old track. Working with Dennis Ward for the first time is great! Good mood and very productive. Henny and Christof are starting with their guitar tracks."
Drummer VINNIE PAUL (PANTERA / DAMAGEPLAN / REBEL MEETS REBEL / HELLYEAH) has issued the following update:
"Big Vin Records plans on releasing SEVENTHVOID which is Johnny and Kenny from TYPE O NEGATIVE... all I can say is it's bad ass. Check it out here.
And the picture book that me and my Dad put together celebrating my brother Dimebag Darrell's life - it's very special... both will be out this summer.
As for Hellyeah, we're on a break but I will have some exciting news soon..."
