The festival will cater to the gothic subculture with an entire day of music, tattoos, fashion, body art, and extreme exhibitions. The band is also planning to tour in early fall.
Shattered Realm are now in search of a full-time bassist. The New Jersey group are currently preparing to record a new album. Candidates should have reliable transportation, equipment, and a willingness to tour. According to the band, "You shall be rewarded in glamour, fame and the kind of ecstacy that is only reached in the heat of battle. Downsides include heavy touring, heavy drinking and a near certain early death. Upsides include riches, thick mead, women for the taking, and a seat in the hall of valhalla."

Into Eternity guitarist, Tim Roth, has posted the following tour update on the band's official website:
April 11, 2005 - back on the road
It feels great to be back on the road again! All the guys are at 90% feeling good right now, so everyone is happy. The moral is up now that we feel better. There is nothing worse than getting sick on the road.
Last night we ended up going to a karaoke bar here in Calgary on our day off. We all got up and started belting out the hits! It was a fun night. Stu was going off, ripping out "Painkiller" and "Run To The Hills". He was singing certain parts even higher, which I thought was funny as hell. I stuck to the Skid Row songs because I think it brought a tear to the table. Plus Sebastian Bach rules!!
The Winnipeg show was one of the best shows on the tour. It seems like the crowd was hungry for the metal. It's tough touring at this time with all the other tours, but there was a lot of fans still. I don't know why we don't go to Winnipeg more often.
The hometown Regina show was a bit dissapointing for us. A lot of our friends were there though, so that was nice. Everybody seemed to have a good time. I think it will be good to have an all ages show next time. That will happen when we roll through town as part of a package with Hate Eternal. It was cool to see everyone again.
Edmonton rules! That is always the case. It seems like it is becoming the metal Capital of the West. Brian the promoter treated us very well. He is a standup guy. The fans had a circle pit going and were singing along to all the songs. Now it feels like a hometown show when we hit that city.
Tonight is Calgary. We have 2 other bands on the bill again tonight , so it should be a good time. Divinity and Blacksky did well in Edmonton and this show will be the same.
Hopefully we will get to meet everyone out on the road. The sickness is fading, so we are going to come out and kick ass!!
keep it metal!
Team Sleep, featuring Deftones frontman Chino Moreno, has posted their first single, "Ever (Foreign Flag)," on their MySpace page here.
Team Sleep's new album will hit stores May 10.
Following the conviction earlier this year of the ringleader and a second member of the so-called "Beasts of Satan" cult for the gruesome murder of three friends - a teenage couple and the main culprit's own girlfriend - a Milan juveniles court on Monday handed down a 19-year prison sentence to a third man, Mario Maccione, for his part in the couple's slaying. After four hours of deliberation, the court acquitted a second suspect, Massimiliano Magni, of involvement in the couple's murder.
The mother of Chiara Marino - who was shot and buried in wood near Milan with her boyfriend Fabio Tolli in 1998 when she was 19 and Fabio just 16 - reacted to the news with tears and anger. "This is not justice - it's a scandal. Maccione and Magni are both assassins. Nineteen years are too few for the loss of my daughter - I want them both to serve life," she sobbed. She said she had hoped Magni would be sentenced to at least half the length of time requested by public prosecutors.
"Human justice has its limits. Divine justice is limitless and will punish the guilty sooner or later," was the comment of Fabio Tollis' father. "Once we learn the grounds for the verdicts (in a month's time) we will decide whether to appeal or not," said prosecuting magistrate Ciro Cascone. Both Maccione and Magni were also suspected of an earlier attempt to kill Chiara and Fabio.
In February, Andrea Volpe - the leader of a heavy metal group and mastermind of the murders of Marino and Tolli, as well as that of his own girfriend, 27-year-old Mariangela Pezzotta, who was shot and buried alive in a forest in 2004 - received a 30-year jail term for the killings. A second man, Pietro Guerrieri, was sentenced to a 16 years in prison, while a third man was cleared.
The murders, carried out as part of drug fuelled rituals involving sex and heavy metal music, and claims by group members that they were acting in the name of Satan, shocked Italy, prompting concern among many parents, religious and community leaders over the kind of company young people may be keeping, and the extent of such Satanic sects in Italy.
Five more members of the 'Beasts of Satan' are due to stand trial in June, and will also face questioning over the suicide of another young woman, who died whilst drunk and drugged at the wheel of her car as it reached speeds of 180 kilometres per hour.
German Gothic metallers EverEve have posted the following update:
The longest and most intensive production process in the band history of EverEve has now come to an end.
“Tried & Failed” will be released on June 27th 2005 via Massacre Records/Soulfood. Besides the heavy guitars and electronic sounds, there is a strong emphasis on our orchestral, epic side. Once again we were supported by sound–guru Joerg Huettner, who in the meantime established himself in the film industry as well by participating in several major motion picture soundtracks (Catwoman, The Ring 2, Batman Begins, i.a.).
The content of the lyrics of “Tried & Failed” deals with the omnipresent human quest for indulgence, fulfillment and submission and its equally omnipresent failure in an emotiona, sexual and spiritual regard.More...
