As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis comments:
"It's hard to believe that we've been a band for as long as we have yet have never released an official DVD documenting our first 7 years. As a result, we've included so much content that you hardly have to like our music to be entertained. With that said, it feels good knowing how many diehard fans over the years have supported our band and their simple enjoyment of our music has given us the chance to see the world!"

Headbanger's Blog premiered the new Mastodon video, "Divination," this weekend online while the video premiered on MTV's Headbangers Ball as well. The video was helmed by Roboshobo, who also directed the video for "All Nightmare Long" from Metallica.
The clip depicts the band members on a rock n' roll mission, trudging through the frozen tundra. "We're climbing a mountain looking for a creature named Brent," guitarist Bill Kelliher told HeadbangersBlog.com. "We were mountaineers — explorers like in John Carpenters ‘The Thing.'"
"It's a really fun video," adds guitarist and vocalist Brent Hinds. "I'm an old caveman trapped in a block of ice. Explorers find me and they put the flying V [guitar] up to the ice and it melts me. I grab the guitar, do the solo and then I kill them."
"Divination" comes off Crack The Skye which hits stores on March 24th on Warner Bros Records. You can watch the video below. More...

Ukrainian Black Metallers Balfor have added a second guitarist to their original three-man line up. Former Unerase guitarist Agnarr has started rehearsing with the band and according to vocalist/guitarist Thorgeir is already up to speed with Balfor’s material. “Agnarr is a highly trained and skilled guitarist, with a real instinct for music, so he got the feel of what we wanted straight away”, said the front man. “When we were recording material for our new album, we realized that the fuller sound we had developed was going to need an additional guitarist in order for us to be able to reproduce it live. It also takes some of the pressure off me on stage. Singing and playing at the same time is one thing, but when you want to give the audience a less static show, and communicate with them at the same time, it doesn’t always work too well, so a second guitarist is the perfect solution for us."

"Just got the final guest vocals and fuck me sideways this is some insane shit. I have the deepest respect for this vocalist and he’s actually been wanting to participate for quite some time, meaning he’s harassed me more often than I have harassed him about doing vocals. And the shit he pulled off… Well, you will get some unexpected shit on this masterpiece, that’s for sure. Both vocal wise and music wise. Thanx to everyone who chipped in and made this my life’s work. You guys are the best. And no, I won’t reveal any names just yet but be sure you’ll find out in a bit…
"Oh, and I worked my way thru the 6th track today (working with all the vocals, that is) and will do the last one tomorrow morning. Fucken unbelievable that all the vocals are now done… Dan will spend the coming few days sorting the mix for everything and I’ll continue with the corrections for a week or so. It’s real close now and I’m fucken ecstatic about this shit."
Sweden's Torture Division has issued the following update about their recent shows and plans for recording:
"You all know we have been busy doing some gigs following up our first trilogy (and the Christmas EP). Next weekend is the third and final gig in a little over a month and after that we are back to composing for the next trilogy. Yes, it will all be available for free on our site as soon as anything’s completed, as always. We already have the concept thought out and it’ll be interesting to see if you notice it somewhere down the line. There’s some riffs and ideas lying around that we can start to work into songs now when we are finished with the planned gigs. The army of three are looking forward to compose some new death metal for all of you and the plans are to get the 2nd trilogy out in 2009. We’ll do our best to make sure that happens.
"In the meantime, purchase the CD that Abyss Records are releasing any day now and keep an eye out for the LP on Vic Records. Stay tuned, fucko’s."
Blessed By A Broken Heart is finally back home after completing their Terminatour of the United States and Canada. The screamo turned hair metal band released their second album, “Pedal To The Medal,” in 2008, and since then have been on the road promoting the album. But it hasn’t been an easy trip. Arrests, stolen laptops, and a trip to the emergency room put a few kinks in the plans for these fun-loving musicians.
In fact, my original interview with bassist Tyler Hoare was put on hold when lead vocalist Tony Gambino was rushed to the hospital with what appeared to be meningitis. "I just wrote about 6-700 words about Chris' birthday and the past few days, and the frickin page disappeared when I wanted to spell check it.
"So, if this isn't as colorful as my usual posts, its because there is a big black cloud over my head right now shoot lightning bolts at the computer, and the sound of thunder while I play and replay me sticking my foot through the laptop screen!
"Anyway, as y'all know, Chris Broderick turned 39 yesterday, and I am so proud of this guy. I mean, I watch him play on stage and everyday he gets better and better. We are aware of the reviews, and we still are trying to have a perfect show, so if you think that you have seen a good one, just wait until he starts to feel 100% and then after that, once I start to feel we are at 100%. Metallica’s Lars Ulrich has revealed that he illegally downloaded Death Magnetic after it leaked ahead of the official release date last year.
Speaking to US DJ Eddie Trunk on VH1’s That Metal Show, Ulrich said “I sat there myself and downloaded 'Death Magnetic' from the Internet just to try it."
"I was like, 'Wow, this is how it works.' I figured if there is anybody that has a right to download 'Death Magnetic' for free, it's me. I sat there one night at my house with about six of my friends and a bottle of wine. We found it - this was like two or three days after Death Magnetic leaked. I was like, 'You know what?
