DYING FETUS have posted the following update:
“Mike Kimball has resigned his position in DYING FETUS. Here is a statement from Mike: ‘This is easily the most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make in my life. I have had moments where I felt that it might be time to part ways with DYING FETUS but didn’t want to accept it, out of love for performing as a musician, and of course being less than thrilled with the prospect of disappointing my band mates or the fans. Being in DYING FETUS has been an amazing experience, and I’m eternally grateful to the guys in the band (past and present), as well as all of our crew members, all the bands we have toured with, and most of all the fans for their support. Thank you all so much!’"
"We are now holding auditions, live or video. Tablature is available on dyingfetus.com under media. One of the U.K.'s most promising extreme music prodigies, CAÏNA mastermind Andrew Curtis-Brignell, has issued the following update:
"Work on the next album continues apace — I'd estimate that I'm about 65% done. I can confidently say that it's easily going to be the best CAÏNA material to date, including the EPs that come out before it (not that they're shite, or anything though, haha)."
"Speaking of which, my track for the split with Portuegese kings of doom PROCESS OF GUILT is coming along nicely, although I'm late with it (sorry guys!). It's due out on 10" vinyl format through Major Label Industries very soon, and if you liked 'The Heart of the Master', then you'll hopefully like this, as it returns to some of the musical themes explored on that release, but ups the ante considerably. I'm currently mixing the main instrument tracks in preparation for the vocal recording, and hope to have it finished next week. PROCESS OF GUILT will be presenting you with a THIS EMPTY FLOW (cult '90s Finnish shoegaze act from the people who brought you THERGOTHON) cover on their side." More...

Metalunderground.com has built up a solid subscriber list for its RSS news feed, and now I would like to hear from those users. When I originally set up the RSS feed and self-hosted it, I made it a partial feeds with only a blurb of each post due to bandwidth concerns. Now there's no reason to not post the full articles except for my concern about the overall length of the feed entries and daily digest emails.
I would like to hear if there is there any preference from our readership. Would you like full articles in the RSS feeds or to keep things as they are - partial articles with a link to click to Metalunderground.com to read the full article and comment on it?
If you're totally clueless about what RSS is, here's a blurb from Feedburner (who hosts Metalunderground.com's feed now): More...
