The new album will be released on Tuesday, March 11th via Spartan Records and can be pre-ordered now at this location.
“The soothing breeze of a lazy summer day. A newborn baby sleeping safely in its mother's arms. A moment of creativity. A glimpse of greatness. Compassion. Freedom. Love. The human condition can truly be a thing of beauty. Most of the time though, evil prevails,” says Barren Womb’s Tony Gonzahl. “This song deals with the dangers of trading values and beliefs into currency, be it money, power or any other superficial bullshit. Selling out, basically.” More...

Open your eyes to Oracolo Suicida and await your fate!"

Berlin's Space Chaser has released a video for "Waste Crawler," which can be seen below courtesy of Terrorizer.com.
The new album "Watch The Skies" is due out on May 5th via This Charming Man Records. The label also issued the following press release about Space Chaser:
"Shaped by hi-top sneakers, skateboards and cheap booze as much as they are Anthrax, Metallica and Agent Steel the Berlin based quintet have built an impressive following in their native Germany around their love of classic ’80s thrash metal and no nonsense approach to banging heads, necking bottles and starting parties in the dearth of good parties.
"Having come to the attention of This Charming Man Records in 2012 - who included ‘Thrashold’ on their This Charming Man Radio Distortion Broadcast compilation after just one listen to their self-released Decapitron EP - Watch The Skies is every pinched harmonic a winner for fans of the genre. Whether the band is keeping the tradition alive or just doing their own thing is anyone’s guess but one thing is for sure, Space Chaser are far from being your average Germanic/Teutonic thrash metal throwback. Produced by Harris Johns (Sepultura, Sodom) this is a record about alien invasions, hazardous waste and modern day maschinenmenschs rolled out against a backdrop of excellent riffs and rhythmic guitar duels, wailing vocals and chemically peddled drum fills.
"Make no mistake, Space Chaser are out to tear fair-weather metallers a new one so get on side or get out of their way. Watch The Skies will be released in the UK on 5th May 2014, and throughout the rest of Europe on 12th April." More...

Edge Of Thorns (named after the Savatage album) will release the third studio album "Insomnia" on April 4th via Killer Metal Records. The album is the first release from the German melodic speed metal band since "Masquerading of the Wicked" was issued in 2007.
Edge of Thorns was founded in 1996 by Dirk "Duke" Schmitt (voc, guitars) and Johannes Schütz (drums) in Bitburg. The line-up was completed by bass player Oliver Brück and keyboardist Lothar Krämer. From the very start the focus was on original compositions. Initially, the band focussed on the dark sides of metal, while Duke could concentrate on singing alone after the guitar duo Dave Brixius and Achim Sinzinger joined in 1998. The songs became faster, harder, more melodic and varying. Wreaking riffs, double lead guitars, catchy choruses characterize the songs of that time. Hymns like “Riders of the Storm”, “Dark Magician” or “Lost” came into being.
After several self-produced demos in 2003, the album "Ravenland" was presented to the metal community. Job and family reasons lead into several line-up changes. Achim switched from guitar to bass and Dave was then the only guitar player. Temporarily, the band was supported by keyboarder Markus Olk. At this stage, the album "Masquerading of the Wicked" was done and released beginning of 2008, receiving good reactions. The songs became more various - stamping, catchy metal songs mixed up with speedy double-bass-killers, varying vocals, hard riffing, melodies and lunatic guitar solos without losing sight of the song. Because the keyboards had an increasingly less presence in 2007, Edge of Thorns switched back to a twin guitar attack. More...
Prince Edward Island's Death Valley Driver has released a new music video for "Smoke Whip," available below courtesy of Revolvermag.com.
The video was shot over two days in November by Colin MacDonald (Foster Avenue Productions) in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Loosely conceptualized off the Jim Jones Cult, the video portrays the band's vocalist Dan Hodgson as the cult leader.
"Colin really is the MVP of this whole video. His direction and vision really captured the dark lyrics of the song." commented vocalist Dan Hodgson. "The final product is something we are really proud of. We can't wait for people to see the twisted visions he came up with. He had me play the cult leader, which could have ended in disaster. But thanks to his comforting demeanor, it was something I had a lot of fun with."
"Smoke Whip" is off the band's most recent album "Graveyard Dead," which was released in June 2013 by Diminished Fifth Records. More...
Swedish metal band Facebreaker has issued the following announcement about a lineup change:

"Facebreaker will continue as usual. All original members are still in the band and all upcoming shows will be done as planned. Stay tuned for more news later!"
Mika also commented: "Due to lack of time I have made the decision to quit playing guitar in Facebreaker. I’ve been with my brothers in the band since 2003 and we have had so much fun during these years. Thanx for all the great rocking years guys …….. Love y´all motherfukkers!" More...
