Kerang reports that Kiss was forced to cut their set short at an intimate gig at London's Islington Academy earlier this week. The band, who had not played a venue in the UK that small in nearly 24 years, was left breathless after confetti cannons went off during the initial set closer, "Rock And Roll All Nite." According to reports, the stage was flooded with excessive amounts of carbon dioxide and bassist / vocalist Gene Simmons nearly collapsed. Vocalist / guitarist Paul Stanley also found it difficult to breathe and said he didn’t know if he could make it back on stage for an encore.
After a short delay, the band returned to perform their 1976 hit, "Detroit Rock City," but unbeknown to fans in attendance at the 800 capacity venue, Kiss were forced to axe classic tracks such as "Deuce," "Shout It Out Loud" and "Lick It Up" from their set. The setlist from last night’s gig was as follows:
Modern Day Delilah
Let Me Go Rock And Roll
Calling Dr. Love
Got To Choose
I Love It Loud
Rock And Roll All Nite
Detroit Rock City

He has brought a new depth to the existing material, and I look forward to bringing you our new songs with his extreme talent and good humour providing the back bone to what is now, a formidable force."

We recorded a ton of guitars and here you can see Martin and Michael tracking some of their parts.

DIABOLIC, the Tampa, Florida-based outfit will release their latest album, "Excisions of Exorcisms," on April 20, 2010 via Deathgasm Records. This is an updated release date from the originally announced March 23rd release date.
DIABOLIC has had their ups and downs in their decade-plus existence, most recently reforming in 2006 after three years divided where some members formed the band UNHOLY GHOST, but the band is back under its original moniker with their first proper full-length.
DIABOLIC's latest once again features the production services of Juan "Punchy" Gonzalez (NILE, MORBID ANGEL, TERRORIZER) and the classic artwork of Joe Pentagno (MOTORHEAD, KRISIUN). The band will be supporting the album with several live dates including an appearance at the 20th Anniversary Michigan Deathfest July 17.
Florida based death metal legends Obituary has posted a new tour report online from their current trek across Europe. A message posted by the band whilst in England reads as follows:
"We are in Birmingham, England for our first of five shows in the UK (counting one in Scotland). This has to be the most shows we have played here in a long time. It seems like we always come over for one show, so it is nice to have several in a row!
"Last night in Belgium was awesome! It was a Hard Core and Metal Festival and I think it went really good. 12 hours of music may have been a little much for most people, me included, but it was a good show!
"UK you have plenty of shows to choose from, so I hope you can make it out to a couple of them!"
Former Skid Row vocalist Sebastian Bach has posted a tour report online, discussing his current run of South America. The blog reads as follows:
"Hello from Brasilia, Brasil! It is so hot and beautiful here it's like paradise. I love the snow but man it feels incredible to get a suntan and go swimming and be outside in the heat, coming from Europe to Canada to Brasil lets me know yet again how lucky we all are to do this and what a great life this is! None of this could be possible without all of your support and we can't thank you enough for bringing us to South America!
"Tonight's the first show and we are very excited! Trying now to decide whether to open with 'Slave' or 'Saddle', depending on set time we may do 'In A Darkened Room' this tour as well due to all the requests I am getting for that track. I love the song too. Every country is different and since we have never been to Uruguay, Peru, or Chile, we may do some older tracks that have never been performed live in those countries.
"Which brings me to the subject of playing Chile for the first time. After the devastating earthquake that just happened there, I really can't believe we are playing Chile. It's going to be exciting playing rock music for a country that could probably use some good old escapism right now. I wish I knew how to help in some way with charity efforts in Chile, maybe I should ask Sean Penn about that , he sure knows how to help out, as evidenced by what he is doing in Haiti right now. I feel totally honoured and humbled by performing in Chile, we are gonna give you the greatest show we can because you sure deserve some good times right now!! Thanks to all of South America for your support and let's have some fun tonight Brasilia!!! See ya onstage in a couple of hours!!!"

Medieval folk metallers Jaldaboath have announced their new album "The Rise of the Heraldic Beasts" will be released on April 23rd, 2010. Death To Music Productions has issued the following statement about releasing the album:
"The tireless trio of medieval loons known as Jaldaboath have finally announced the release of their debut album 'The Rise Of The Heraldic Beasts' After being waylaid for over a year by unreasonable changes of contract by Napalm Records, Jaldaboath have decided to instead release their debut through Death To Music Productions! Obviously there is a massive difference in what Napalm Records could have offered the band in comparison to DTM, but 'Grand Master Jaldaboath' is well known for not putting up with label nonsense, and has decided that it is time for the album to be released. The 10 track album is a collection of jousting jigs both old and new, detailing thew high adventures of these fearless troubadour knights. You can order this CD exclusively now - all orders will be dispatched to arrive on St. Georges day (that's the 23rd of April for those not in the know!)"

Dutch metallers Detonation have announced their new album will be titled "Reprisal." The artwork for the album can be viewed here. Detonation also issued the following statement about the album:
"Finally! The new album is finished! We have set 'Reprisal' as the title for our 4th full length album. We're very pleased with the outcome of this CD, it's heavier than anything we've done in the past, and the songs also feel more personal and in your face. Our new band mates Michiel and Danny also put their mark on it, and both did an excellent job on 'Reprisal'. We have uploaded the song 'There is no turning Back' for you guys to check out. But as always, it's difficult to capture the whole albums' vibe with just 1 song. But anyway, check it out and let us know what you think! Right now, our top priority is to find a new record deal to release this monster. These are difficult times though, so we can use all the support we can get. Please get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help us out in any way. Cheers!"
The track listing for "Reprisal" is as follows:
2. There is no turning Back
3. Feeding on the Madness
5. Absentia Mentis
6. Washing away the Blood
7. Falling Prey
8. Insults to my Heritage
Norwegian death metallers Cage of Torment recently announced that they parted ways with their vocalist Gorbag (also of black metal band Emancer) and stated they would continue as a three peice. The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal was responsible for some of the most popular metal bands the world has ever known. Making household names out of Iron Maiden and Def Leppard and granting Saxon the position of legends. However, for many bands in the movement, success was to be very short lived, if even found at all. Many N.W.O.B.H.M. bands were able to enter the British album charts with their debut, only to lose their popularity and fame shortly afterwards. Tank is one of these bands.
The group was formed in 1980 by bass player and vocalist Algy Ward, who had just left British punk rock legends The Damned. Tank gained favourable comparisons to Motorhead for their high energy heavy metal played with a punk edge and their entertaining lyrics. They released their first album, "Filth Hounds Of Hades" in 1982, which entered the British album charts at number 33 and is now regarded as one of the best albums from the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement. This would be the only taste of chart success Tank received unfortunately, as their next albums sold less than the band's debut. They decided to call it a day in 1989.
However, much like a number of other bands from the scene, Tank reunited in the late 1990s and performed a number of concerts in Japan and Europe before releasing a comeback album in 2002 entitled, "Still At War." The group has struggled since then however, with an album named "Sturmpanzer" sitting on the shelf since 2006. Founder Algy Ward is also no longer a member of the band and vocal duties are now handled by former Rainbow and Praying Mantis frontman Doogie White. The band is expected to finally release a new studio album this year through Soundhouse Records. More...
