The latest anthem of irreverence comes by way of the band’s recently unleashed three-song "The Uncreated" demo. With a recording lineup featuring guitarist Necron, vocalist Vladibeer Reebs, bassist T.A., and drummer Dennis Sanders, "The Uncreated" was recorded by Dennis Munoz (Solstice) and Stuart “Batlord” Laurence (Agony Column/Ignitor) and serves as a brutal, filth-ridden precursor to HOD’s forthcoming "Book of the Worm" full-length.
Proclaims vocalist Reebs: “This demo isn’t just HOD’s return to the frontlines. It’s the first assault of a whole new war and siege! It’s time for HOD to take our rightful place upon the throne. And those that survive The Uncreated will be consumed in the chaos and death brought forth by the Book of the Worm. We are here from the shadows. And we came to destroy. Fuckin’ metal!”

"We are happy to announce that AC Angry will be support No. 1 and opening act for our European dates in June apart from Saxon's festival appearances!

"AC ANGRY are facing 2013 with high anticipation. The debut album 'Black Denim' – produced by Phil Hillen (Powerwolf, Parachutes, The Vision Bleak, Vendetta) at SU2 Studio - will finally be released. Iconic illustrator Jan Meininghaus (U.D.O., Bolt Thrower, Brainstorm) is responsible for the perfectly fitting artwork. AC ANGRY are demonstrating with a total of 10 songs how a dirty rock 'n' roll album is supposed to sound!
"Welcome and keep the faith!" More...

Antarctic metal monsters GWAR are kicking off their spring run of dates with a special "Meat and Meet" at the world-famous Grinders in Kansas City, Mo. The "Meat and Meet" is scheduled for Monday April 8th from 6-8 PM.
This event is not only for the members of GWAR to drink and eat themselves into a bloated coma with their legions of slavering fans, but to announce and introduce their brand-new and 100% edible "GWAR-B-Q" sauce, personally created for human consumption by none other than GWAR's steel-faced guitar player, Balsac, the Jaws of Death.
"This new taste sensation is mostly made out of the blood of really hot chicks," explained the surprisingly cordial space-barbarian. "It was a terrible waste of fine ass, but ultimately worth it because this sauce is absolutely delicious!"
GWAR will be kicking off the second leg of the "Fate or Chaos" tour April 10th in Tucson, AZ and will run through April 25th in Jacksonville, Florida. Support on the tour will come from Warbeast and Wilson. All dates can be found below.
The summer will also herald the fourth annual GWAR-B-Q, and this year is shaping up to have the most colossal, bone crushing lineup yet. But that's not all from your toxic mutant under-lords. Rumors of boxed sets, GWAR-B-Q sauce, GWAR beer, and long-awaited "comedy" albums abound. Further details about all of these projects would have to wait until "we get our shit together," said Oderus. 6131 Records has checked in with the following announcement about a North American release of the debut EP from Violent Reaction:
"Nothing makes hardcore as meaningful as the friendships it creates, especially those that defy boundaries. That is exactly why we're incredibly excited to be teaming with our friends at Mind Rot Records to release the debut EP from England's Violent Reaction in North America.
"The band started as a one-man project of one of our favorite people in the world, Tom Pimlott, and has since become a full-fledged band that will be releasing their first full length via Painkiller Records in a few months. Raging, pissed, straight edge hardcore done right.
"The s/t 7" EP by Violent Reaction has been sent to the pressing plant this week and we're hoping to have them in time for the band's upcoming North American tour in April (including an appearance at the not-to-be-missed Damaged City Fest in Washington, DC). Stay tuned for details." More...

Southern Lord Recordings welcomes young Florida hardcore act Centuries to the label’s ever-morphing extreme roster. The label comments:
"Busting out with an emotive punk-influenced style of hardcore with elements of explosive metalcore and morose d-beat persuasions, Centuries should appeal to fans of comparable Southern Lord acts like Baptists, Heartless and Nails, but their overall sound more akin to traditional modern hardcore acts than most any other on the label.
"Amidst releasing several demo and indie recordings, the band has toured stateside alongside Old Wounds, Pray For Teeth, Homestretch and more, and toured Europe in late 2012 with Poland’s Drip Of Lies.
"Centuries has shared the stage with Gaza, Capitalist Casualties, Weekend Nachos, Skin Like Iron, Fell To Low, Code Orange Kids, Call Of The Void, Heartless, Dead In the Dirt, Full Of Hell, Ceremony, Trash Talk and Bane, has performed at The Fest as well as the Charming Man Records Fest in Germany three times and more, while two of the band’s members also hold rank in local act Dove Swallower. NYHC outfit, On The Offense, will release its debut full length, "Frontline," this spring via Dead City Records. Frontline will be available for download through most digital outlets on April 9th, with a limited number of physical CDs available via the Dead City web-store.
Commented vocalist Sean Finley, "I have been in this since 1986, and I have been in a lot of hardcore bands. It took this long to click with the right guys to get it done. Collectively this record spans 20-plus years of growing up in NYHC without rehashing the same old same old, or reducing NYHC to a novelty. There ain't no games or motives or disguises about it. Listen to the record, and that's what and who we are...NYHC for life." More...
Century Media Records has announced a worldwide partnership with U.K. indie label Siege Of Amida Records (known as SOAR).
This new deal sees SOAR utilized as a central launch pad for the metal and hardcore genres, focusing predominantly on the increasingly vibrant U.K. underground scene and launching emerging international acts onto the circuit.
Century Media label manager Antje Lange says of the deal: "We feel honoured and excited to work with the highly acclaimed label Siege Of Amida. They've proved that they have the Midas touch and the instinct for catching great new bands early and we are confident that we can put the label to the next level, on a worldwide basis."
After starting the careers of the likes of Whitechapel, Annotations of an Autopsy, Heart In Hand, Ingested, TRC, and Dyscarnate, as well as being the European vessel for U.S. bands such as Impending Doom and Molotov Solution, SOAR is reputed for being one of the leading labels spearheading a movement of new exciting bands within extreme music. Many of their past bands are now with larger, internationally established labels such as Metal Blade, Victory, eOne and Nuclear Blast; this deal sees them no longer in the shadow of larger labels and able to compete with the heavyweights. "A studio project based in Helsinki, Laurasia Awaits Us’ roots trace back to its earliest experimentations in 2009. Following an assortment of lineup shifts, genre exploration, meditation and a long period of dormancy, only two members remain: founders Lauri Santeri Lohi and Joona Laine.
"A solid composing and recording process took shape in the Summer of 2012 resulting in their latest full-length, Apathy Remains Victorious. Inspired mostly by life, death and beyond, the lamenting hymns that make up Apathy Remains Victorious are driven forward by the truest of human emotions making for six lush, exploratory soundscapes that are at once somber and sinister. The track comes off the new EP "The Burden of Sorrow," due out April 16th, 2013. Singer Tim Lambesis, who is best known for his work as the front man of As I Lay Dying, explains:

Being that I own a recording studio, I thought a great place to start was by asking my engineer who the best guitar player is that he has recorded. I wanted to team him up with one of my favorite guitar players growing up.” More...

The band has also started an indiegogo campaign to help raise money for all of the expenses they will incur on tour. Therefore, fans can help the band by donating to the indiegogo campaign, which has killer perks. More info, including a list of perks and donation details can be found here.
The band commented on the campaign and the upcoming tour: "We would really deeply love you and appreciate your help for this to happen. We've been hoping for an opportunity like this for years now, and it's finally happened. We want to bring you guys our experience, right to your face. We have plenty of friends and fans who haven't seen us yet because they don't live in our area. With this tour, not only will we be able to completely cave your face in (musically), we'll also be able to connect with people who haven't seen us for years. To make new friends and fans.
