With a writhing beast of a new album waiting in the wings, North Carolina misfits To Speak Of Wolves are giving fans a taste of the ferocity to come with the release of the first single, "Stand Alone Complex." Check out the song at the band's Facebook profile. The following press release was also issued:
"Careening off the rails with frantic snare blasts and caterwauling riffage, 'Stand Alone Complex' is not only the first track released from the forthcoming Find Your Worth, Come Home – available online and in stores everywhere May 22 via Solid State Records – but it also serves as the first sample of the unhinged vocals of new To Speak of Wolves frontman Gage Speas, the spark plug driving this band into wild new territories with an album they never dreamed they could make."
"Musically, we feel this song is a great first look into the new record," says drummer and founding member Phil Chamberlain. "It's a fast and intense song, a good mix stylistically from the new album as a whole. The song features guest vocals by Micah Kinard from Oh, Sleeper on the bridge and has one of our favorite guitar riffs as a climatic ending."
To Speak of Wolves has the following upcoming tour dates:

Wild Hunt's debut full-length album, "Before the Plane of Angles," is set for a May 1st release on Kemado Records. The following press release was issued about the album:
"From Oakland, California, Wild Hunt's epic, progressive sound draws influence from black metal, traditional heavy metal, ambient music, and beyond. From triumph to melancholia, Wild Hunt's long, winding songs twist and turn but always push forward.
"Majestic dual-guitar lines race atop forward-charging rhythms, led by the soaring harmonies and blackened screams of singing drummer Harland Burkhart. The band's intense, mystical vibe honors past musical forms while forging ahead in a progressive-minded way. Drummer of Agalloch and Worm Ouroboros, Aesop Dekker, has publicly hailed Wild Hunt, praising the band's 'craft, musicianship, and songwriting.'
"Much as the music evokes the sense of a journey, the lyrics center around altered states of perception and man's ongoing quest toward enlightenment. Before the Plane of Angles is a conceptual record, intended to be experienced in one sitting. With ambient passages linking one song to the next, it plays as one continuous piece of music - an ode to the album format.
"Before the Plane of Angles was recorded and mixed by Laudanum/ex-Asunder bassist Salvador Raya at Earhammer Studios (Saviours, Ghoul). The ambient sections were recorded and mixed by the band - including field recordings captured on location in places like Tennessee Valley Park in Marin County. The album was mastered by Justin Weis at Trakworx (Hammers of Misfortune, Ludicra).
"A remarkable debut album from this Oakland band - more a trip than a collection of songs - Before the Plane of Angles reflects its creators' respect for music of the past and their willingness to push fearlessly into the future."

"Fix: The Ministry Movie" will be released on April 10th, 2012. The following press release was issued about the movie:
"Raw and uncompromising, FIX is the story of the rock band Ministry -- hard living in the fastest lane, told for every fan, or merely the morbidly curious, whomsoever wished that just for a few nights they might have an all access pass into the belly of the rock beast --a chance to go behind that locked door at the back of the bus, and hang out one-on-one with whatever's lurking there.
"Embedded during Ministry's entire SPHINCTOUR in 1996, director Doug Freel and a single camera captured the band poised to take on popular music's title of 'Next big coolest, hardest, most bad-ass, thing,' but Al Jourgensen's legendary drug abuse had him teetering at the very edge of insanity, all the while still at the helm and steering both the Ministry ship, and his own physical and mental health, straight into the rocks.
"What started as a commitment of filming for a few days turned into the shooting of fifty-two successive shows in thirteen different countries. Within the first few minutes of the finished piece, we see why the filmmakers felt compelled to stay on the tour as we too are drawn into the mayhem and the anarchic drama of life on the road with Ministry. It's like watching a car wreck in slow motion... It's hard to look away. More...

Hailing from the German city of Mannheim, sludge devastators Black Shape of Nexus, having recently signed with Exile On Mainstream, are preparing for the release of their upcoming third full-length "Negative Black." The following press release was issued about the album:
"Recorded in the Winter of 2011 and twisted into shape at the mighty Tonmeisterei Studio, Negative Black -- an album four years in the making -- marks a new step for Black Shape of Nexus, carving a path into their foreseeable future. The album has been eagerly awaited by BSON's diehard cult fanbase and underground doom/sludge aficionados since the release of their bruising 2008-released Microbarome Meetings 2xLP.
"While the outfit already bears the reputation for unfurling some of the most destructive but still coherently-flowing sludge metal available, incorporating outside elements of crust, black metal and ambient/soundscape persuasion at times, Negative Black surges to even deeper caverns of auditory obliteration, pummeling you with painfully slow doom and finishing you off with acrid, harsh drones, and giving down-tempo a whole new meaning."
Black Shape of Nexus will release the nearly eighty minute "Negative Black" in North America on June 5th, and it will be made available to fans on CD in a matte-varnished 6-panel digifile, a 2xLP format with inside/out printed gatefold cover, and deluxe digital download. Architects is preparing for the release of the new album "Daybreaker" on June 5th. To give fans a taste of what to expect, the band has just released a lyric video for a new song off "Daybreaker," titled "These Colours Don't Run."
"We wanted a video that captures the madness that is America, be it good or bad. It's an overload of information that matches the intensity of the song. Hopefully it gets people thinking and talking," explains guitarist Tom Searle, "And in the land of the free - you know nothing is for free!"
