"We need people from about 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The more 'rugged' looking, the better; no baby-face dudes. They should wear a white undershirt or white thermal undershirt, and plain sneakers like Converse All-stars or Vans slip-ons."
The shoot will take place at the Holmesburg Prison on Torresdale Avenue in Philadelphia, PA. Interested parties should send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

SHADOWS FALL vocalist Brian Fair has checked in with the following update:
"What’s up everyone? We hope everyone had a nice Easter Weekend.
Now that we’re home from our crazy Australian – Asian tour, I wanted to share some stories with all of you. But before we get into that, I wanted to briefly touch on a subject.
Since returning home, we have been made aware of some rumours involving ourselves and our record label. Let me make this very clear ... we have no intention of splitting with our label. Atlantic Records and Roadrunner Worldwide have been amazing to us throughout the release of Threads Of Life and we look forward to continuing our working relationship with both on our next release. It appears that some people out there don’t know the difference between "rumours" and actual "news". Somehow we were linked to a blind news item that mentioned neither us or our label and a few people decided to assume it was us. Well, we all know what happens when you ASSume ...
And now that the serious stuff is through, onto the stupidity..
Check out this interview (below) we did with the (not so) upstanding folks at No Good TV." More...

In Thrash We Trust will be the first full blown tour of the states that Death Angel has done since the Act III tour in 1990 and we are gonna bring it! VANMAKT's Gorgoth (a.k.a. Tais) has issued the following update on his Swedish gothic/doom metal project EERIE:
"EERIE will start the recording for our debut album, 'As The World Comes To An End', in July this year. We would start sooner but Im going to record in June with another band of mine, so we decided that it would be the best to wait and start in July so that I dont have to go away in the middle of the progress."
"The album will contain eight songs, and the full playing time is at the moment 65 minutes of music. This might change since we will work more with the intros and outros of the songs in the studio as well as some parts might be longer or shorter, this will be decided when Gadd has learned all the drumparts and were starting the pre-recording of the vocals. But I promise you an album that won't be shorter than 60 minutes." More...

Hermano has scheduled its sole US show for Saturday, March 29 at A1A in Lexington, Kentuckey.
With its members scattered across the country, one-off shows are virtually impossible for Hermano, and the band tours infrequently, making this show a truly special opportunity for fans to experience Hermano live.
Also appearing will be The Oxford Farm Report, Fabric, and Earle Grey featuring Steve Earle. Doors open at 9 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance through ticketfusion.com and $10 at the door.
Hermano’s "...Into the Exam Room," the third release from American heavy blues rockers Hermano, was released January 22 in North America via Regain Records. The group, which features musical heavyweights John Garcia (Kyuss/Unida), David Angstrom (Black Cat Bone/Supafuzz), Steve "Dandy" Brown (Dock Ellis/Orquesta del Desierto), Chris Leathers (Supafuzz), and Mike Callahan (Disengage/Earshot), went for a classic old-school escape-ism approach with "…Into the Exam Room." No messages, no hidden meanings – just pure heavy rock lined with beautiful harmonies and Garcia’s distinct yowl.
Formed in 1998 as a side project, Hermano has flourished for nearly a decade. The group’s writing sessions happen in its members’ respective cities, with ideas tossed into the song library by every member until the quintet sifts through and chooses the best.

The video for "The Islander" was shot last autumn in Rovaniemi, Finland and was directed by Stobe Harju. The clip will premiere on April 14 at 7:00 p.m. (Finnish time) on MTV Finland's show "Spanking New".
Melbourne, Australia-based progressive power metallers EYEFEAR have issued the following update:
"As some of you may have already read on the Dockyard 1 website, our next album is being mixed and most likely mastered by Tommy Hansen. We are very happy to be working with such a talented guy and believe he'll give us the sound we are looking for on this next album. Sadly, this means we wont be working with Andy LaRocque [KING DIAMOND guitarist] who mixed the last two albums (and did a great job given the time he had) and was kind enough to play some solos on 'A World Full of Grey'. He has been great to work with and is an awesome guy and we hope to work with him again."
EYEFEAR's latets album, "A World Full of Grey", was released last June via Dockyard 1. The CD was recorded at keyboardist Sammy Giaccotto's studio Peak Time Productions in Melbourne, Australia and was mixed by Andy La Rocque at Los Angered Studios in Sweden.
Check out audio samples at the band's MySpace page.
Finland's OMNIUM GATHERUM issue the following update:
"Time has come for the fourth OG album recordings, as we´ve been more productive than ever and the new stuff have been written in a few months and this is really new way of acting for OG! Working title for the new album at the moment is Red Shift Mystery..."
"We've been also doing quite a lot of pre-production this time and this is also the new way for us. So, we´ll be afraid about what´s coming up with this next chapter - it might even become a good album!? The third new way of acting with this OG record is that the album will be done in three different studios; drums will be done at Sound Supreme studio, other recordings will be done at good ol´ local & loyal SouthEastSounds studio and mixing and mastering will be done in Örebro, Sweden at Unisound studio with the Dan the man Swanö! I already met Mr. Swanö this weekend and had a 'business-beer' with the man and everything seems really cool with this co-operation." More...

California metallers STEEL PROPHET — who were rejoined by vocalist Rick Mythiasin a year ago — have issued the following update:
"The band has finished all instrumental and vocal tracks for two songs. The songs are tentatively titled 'Transformation Staircase' and 'Trickery of the Scourge'. Sessions took place at Horacio's [Colmenares, guitar] studio in La Puente and the band was very pleased with the results."
"A preliminary mix of one of the songs will be made available on the band's MySpace site in the near future. The songs are similar in nature to material from 'The Goddess Principle' and 'Dark Hallucinations'. The band is also starting rehearsals for their appearance at the 2008 Swordbrothers Festival September 13th in Andernach, Germany. STEEL PROPHET is the headline act for the festival." More...
Canadian progressive death metallers AUGURY have issued the following update:
"We finally recorded the drum and rhythm guitar tracks for AUGURY's second album. Since he fulfilled this last crucial task for us, Etienne Gallo [the group's original drummer] sadly decided to leave the band. So while we complete the recording process, we will welcome applications from all drummers interested to take over the position. We also accept video recorded performances as auditions. Please contact us at the following address: email@example.com. We will contact selected candidates and we thank in advance everyone who will apply to play with us."
AUGURY's debut album, "Concealed", came out in 2004.
VADER, SEPTICFLESH, ZONARIA and GILLA BRUJA will team up for a European tour between October 17 and November 2. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
VADER will play an exclusive show in Egypt on April 11 at La Villa Club in Kair at. Support at the concert will come from local acts WORM and DARK PHILOSOPHY. The show will be organized by Music Gates agency.
Commented Mariusz Kmiolek of the Polish booking agency Massive Music: "That will be definitely an exciting outing, VADER have never played in Egypt and frankly speaking, we feel almost like pioneers trying to put up a death metal flag on a 'no-man's-land.' We have some doubts (concerning safety and gig's organization) but hopefully the organizers of the show will do the best to make this show an unforgettable experience both for the fans and the band. We are going to play a great concert for a great audience and be back home safe and sound."
Two weeks before the Egypt concert, VADER will embark on a tour of South America, playing 10 shows with MARDUK in such countries as Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela.

He does everything from tuning, building the stage set, he is our secret keyboard, percussion and backing vocals dude. He's our fluffer, prostitute, and 'lilla gubben'. He makes all of our beds every night and makes sure we are in them by noon the day after. He was the first person to walk on the moon and has a double PHD in acting and world languages. He wears medium sized underwear and is from Dalarna. To you he's MR Ingolf and to us he's MS Bitch, our little 'poppsnöre', our all beloved black sheep. We love you dude!
In a couple of minutes we're leaving country #11 for country #13. Sorry... 12. Tonight's show was really cool. We are not worthy. We also have a guest from Sweden riding in our bus with us for a week. Who do you think it is? Suggestions are welcome." More...
