Horns Up Records and WhiteTrashDevil.com will be putting on a two-day festival (of sorts) at Jaxx in Springfield, VA on Memorial Day weekend (May 25th & 26th). The show will be a release party for Horns Up Records' debut release, Tuck The Thumb, an opportunity for the WTD readers to interact with each other (as well as some of the WTD crew), and two days of some kick ass live music.
Confirmed so far for this special event are the following bands: More...
Marilyn Manson has chosen the title 'The Golden Age Of Grotesque' for his upcoming studio album, due for release later in the year. It's said to take a more industrial direction, and has been co-produced by the man himself with Tim Skold and Ben Gross.
The Damned have left the Rob Zombie US tour after only a handful of dates. Apparently, they weren’t very happy with the lukewarm response from fans.
Thursday, Snapcase, Minus and Strife have previously unreleased songs featured on the compilation album ‘Victory Style 5’, released by Victory Records in early April.
Cradle Of Filth will release a double CD compilation called ‘Lovecraft & Witchhearts’ through Music For Nations in mid-May. This has been put together with the band’s full co-operation.
I have seen some annoying popunder ads displayed on metalunderground.com and will assure you all that I'll be cutting back on them. I occasionally run a few of them because they pay better than the normal banner ads (to offset the cost of site hosting), but if they are really big or annoying and piss people off, it's just not worth it. If you're really against popups, check out this program, POW, that I use to get rid of the most common and annoying ads.
Also on the agenda is the fact that I've pulled the Launch streaming radio links, as the image links were no longer working. Once I find the proper links again, I'll put the link to the Launchcast radio back on the left sidebar somewhere.
