Sweden's Bursting Veins has checked in with the following update about the band's activity:
"We just want to give you guys some updates on what's going on in ol' Burstingville. 1. As we told you in our most recent blog post we have just a month ago signed with Catapult Music Group and we couldn't be more happy about how they're treating us! 2. We had a meeting a few weeks ago with some people... we can't tell you much about it as of now but what we can tell you is that we're mentally excited at the moment.
"3. I know we promised you guys a video blog in our last message but due to technical difficulties it's been delayed. Do keep your hopes up though because the very second it's all done we'll post it here on myspace, on Facebook and on our Youtube channel. 4. In a week or so we will do a small photo shoot to get some up to date pictures of the line up. As you all know Maddy was replaced by Mippe almost a year ago and we still haven't got any updated pictures. As we upload the new pictures we might do some sprucing up of our myspace page as well.
"We just want you all to know that even though it doesn't show as much on the surface, Bursting Veins are pretty much boiling on the inside right now and are about to explode in you're faces in just a little while. So keep your eyes and ears open at all times, keep your luggage stored in the overhead compartment, your seat belt fastened and your chair in an upright position, because we'll soon be leaving ground."

Epica has posted the following message explaining why the show in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, has been cancelled:
"We have received many (angry) e-mails and messages about the cancelled show in Belo Horizonte (while we were completely unaware of the situation). That is why we have asked our Brazilian booker, Paulo, what happened and why this show wasn't happening anymore. Apparently the local promotor fron Belo Horizonte refused to supply an acceptable set of backline equipment and an adequate PA-system for the show and Paulo was not able to rseolve this problem with him. Paulo tried to switch the show to a different local promotor in Belo Horizonte without success.
"We have received messages like: 'We are so disappointed with the band because we hear that you all are requiring silly things that will make the show more expensive for us! your fans...'
Be sure that we never require silly things and the only reason that we ask for a decent backline and PA us that we want to offer you, our fans, a good show. Nobody will be happy when a show sounds like shit.
"We are very disappointed as well that Paulo and the local promotor were not able to solve the problems. We play almost a 100 shows a year and normally these kind of issues get solved without any problem. Please don't blame the band for this, we only want the best for everybody and we hope to be able to play Belo Horizonte in the near future!
"The show has been replaced with a new show in Rio de Janeiro on the same date."

Dave Mustaine has issued the following update:
"Last night was a difficult night for me, Megs, and for our sold-out audience of Megadeth fans in the great city of Baltimore.
"You see, we were plagued with equipment failures, the ensuing delays getting on-stage (Axl Rose, I am NOT), and the lack of intelligence of the fan who was convinced that throwing his beverage on the console, thus ending our second attempt at taking the stage last night, was an intelligent thing to do.
"In other words, it was the end of the evening for me and for Baltimore.
"Alas, Megaman to the rescue!
"Late last night I was informed of the availability of the venue the following evening, meaning tonight, and I agreed to stay another night here in Baltimore and to try to play this venue one more time.
"If you have a ticket from last night, please check here to see how to proceed tonight.
"Thank you for your understanding, and I want to also thank the building, its staff, the security, the promoter and his staff, and most importantly . . . YOU. I will see you tonight!"
Soilwork frontman, Björn "Speed" Strid, and guitarist, Peter Wichers, has checked in with the band's fifth studio update:
"So, here we are, back in Sweden after the worst travel experience we've ever had. We were supposed to fly from Greensboro to Newark and then connect there to Stockholm. We arrived at Greenboro and found out that our flight was delayed, only 30 minutes though. 30 minutes turned into 2 hours and we started to realize that we were gonna miss our connecting flight to Stockholm from Newark. The Continental staff told us that if we don't make it for the Stockholm flight, they would put us on a flight to Manchester UK and then fly from there to Stockholm.
"When we arrive at Newark, we see our SAS flight pass by from our seats. It's like there was a huge middle finger painted on the side of it. When we get inside the airport, the staff is telling us that our Manchester flight is delayed 3 hours, which meant that we now had a total of 6 hours layover. Tired and forcing ourselves to destroy the entire airport with our fists, Peter went to lie down and I went to the bar trying to take off the edge. It worked for some time, but I started to feel like I was gonna pass out. After 6 hours we finally got on the plane that we got degraded to (From SAS to Continental. And let me tell you, in case you didn't know already, Continental sucks ass!). We arrived to Manchester and there we had to wait for another 5 hours before our flight finally took us to Stockholm. After 30 hours of travelling.
"Now that we're here in Fascination Street studio in Örebro, Sweden, there are no limitations to the joy we feel about this album. We started mixing the first song today: 'The Thrill,' it sounds absolutely majestic!!! Jens Bogren, the mixing engineer, also has a big smile on his face and is doing a fantastic job! If you look outside, Sweden is still covered in snow, absolutely insane. We will start to mix the second song tomorrow, can't wait, gonna be hard to fall asleep... talk to you in a few days!"
