Motley Crue Posts "Like A Virgin" Cover Online

Glam metal icons Motley Crue has posted their newly recorded cover of the Madonna classic, "Like A Virgin" online. You can check it out below. The song was recorded, along with three others, for the soundtrack of the forthcoming Motley Crue biopic, "The Dirt," which will be released worldwide through Netflix.

"The Dirt" is an unflinching and uncensored story about sex, drugs, rock ‘n roll, fame, and the high price of excess. Director Jeff Tremaine (Jackass co-creator) shows us just how Nikki Sixx (Douglas Booth), Mick Mars (Iwan Rheon), Tommy Lee (Colson Baker aka Machine Gun Kelly), and Vince Neil (Daniel Webber) took Mötley Crüe from the Sunset Strip to the world stage, and what it meant to become the world’s most notorious rock band.

"The Dirt" soundtrack includes four brand new songs and is available for pre-order now through Mötley Records and Eleven Seven Music. The pre-order offers an instant download of the single, "The Dirt (Est. 1981)" (feat. Machine Gun Kelly) here and check out the official music video below, which includes behind-the-scenes footage. Witherfall Posts New Music Video Online

US dark melodic metal act, Witherfall, recently started touring Europe as support of Sonata Arctica’s Acoustic Adventures tour. As a special release fitting this tour concept, Witherfall also recorded the widely acoustic Vintage EP, which will be released on March 22nd.

Today, they are releasing the third single from this EP, "A Tale That Wasn't Right", which was originally recorded by Helloween and released on the classic Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part I album in 1987. You can watch the full video, produced by Don Adams, below.

Witherfall comments: “Right after the band landed in the ill-fated Panama City FL to begin recording A Prelude To Sorrow the idea of doing an 80s power ballad was drunkenly pondered by the band. On one of Steve Bolognese' IPA benders he came up with Helloween’s 'A Tale That Wasn’t Right'. Though the band recorded the song during the APS sessions, the video was shot during the band’s recent tour of Japan as support for Kamelot. With Japanese tour manager Mia Steinhausen guiding our way, we were amazed and honored to be so welcomed by the fans and label(s) in Japan that we decided to create a little visual tribute as a gift to everyone who helped us out. Seen in the beginning is even a cameo by none other than Masa-Ito! Domo-Arigato.” More...

Forever Still Posts "Is It Gone?" Music Video

Only two more weeks to go until Forever Still unleash their sophomore full-length release "Breathe In Colours." For this record, Denmark's highflyers have adapted a dark musical concept, inspired by a dystopian cyberpunk future in which humanity flees into cyberspace, and the fact that some of the biggest works in that genre, Blade Runner and Akira, are set in 2019. With their first two singles, "Rew1nd" and "Breathe In Colours," the do-it-yourself band have already presented the rocking side of their new release, and today, they introduce their listeners to the capturing power ballad "Is It Gone?."

"The overarching thought behind ‘Is It Gone?’ can be summed up in the chorus line saying “it’s only gone if I let it go”, which is something I think a lot of people can relate to", Maja explains. "We hold onto all these negative things and thoughts, some that might never even happen. I remember reading one time that 85% of things we worry about never come true. That’s a lot of trouble for no reason at all. Sometimes you just need to let it go and stop obsessing over things that are out of your control." More...

Dee Snider Posts New Music Video Online

Former Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider has posted a new music video online for the song, "Lies Are A Business." You can check it out below. The song is the sixth from his "For The Love Of Metal" to receive the music video treatment. Speaking about the song, Snider stated:

"The socio-political message of 'Lies Are A Business' is more important at this moment in time than ever before. The movement toward more controlling, all-powerful governments continues to grow and the current nightmarish situation in Venezuela is emblematic of the direction our world is sadly heading in. The incredible video for this song by award winning director Leo Liberti of Liberta Filmes truly captures my message with powerful metaphoric imagery while taking nothing away from the metallic power of the song!" Delain Posts New Live Video Online

The soulful and bombastic ballad "Nothing Left" from Delain’s second album April Rain is one of the multiple classics the band have created in their 17-year career. Performed together with Nightwish’s Marco Hietala, "Nothing Left" marked one of the highlights of the show at the infamous Utrecht Tivoli on the Danse Macabre Tour 2017.

This show was recently released as the live album + BluRay "Hunter’s Moon" on Napalm Records. Now you can watch the stunning live performance of "Nothing Left" and get a taste of what to expect on Hunter’s Moon.

Delain on the new video:

"2019 marks 10 years since we first released “Nothing Left” on April Rain. Nowadays it’s a rare treat to see the track performed at one of our live shows, but it hasn’t lost any of it’s power in the decade that has passed. Performing "Nothing Left" together with Marco Hietala was one of the highlights of the night in Tivoli, and in fact, the entire show felt like a highlight; it was one of my favourite shows of our career so far. You can relive the night through our new Live Album/Blu-Ray Hunter’s Moon. As it was the first time we did an entire tour with Marco as a guest, all songs featuring him, including Queen cover "Scandal" are included, and the video for "Nothing Left" is now available on Youtube. We hope you enjoy it!" More...

Former Skid Row Drummer Announces Retirement

Phil Varone, best known for his time performing drums for Skid Row, as well as being the current drummer for supergroup Red Dragon Cartel, has confirmed that he plans to retire from drumming following the current Red Dragon Cartel tour. A statement from Varone reads as follows:

"No Drums No More... Although I’ve given interviews announcing my retirement from drumming, it seems people think I’m kidding... So this is an official post... This is my farewell to drumming tour. There is no big story other than I no longer have a passion for drumming. As I get older in life, drums have fallen to the bottom of my list. As I get older in life, drums hurt instead of making me happy... When you’re not happy or lose the passion in anything you do, it’s time to gracefully bow out. After 30 years I’m gracefully bowing out. I just recorded the greatest record of my career with Jake E Lee and Red Dragon Cartel, and I’m playing with the greatest players of my career. I leave in a good, grateful place. I have the best fans in the world, and I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love, for the support and for being apart of my musical career... I hope you follow me to the next chapter of my life, when the time comes... until then, thank you for 30 years a drummer."

Lordi Parts Ways With Bassist

Finnish costumed rockers Lordi has announced that they will be parting company with bassist Ox, who joined the band in 2005. A statement from the band reads as follows:

"This is a very sad day in the history of the band. Our long term bandmember and close friend Ox has decided to leave the band after the summer festivals 2019. Ox, all the best for your future and thanks for the fantastic time we had all together."

Below are some personal words from Ox explaining the situation:

"It has come the day that I have to tell you that I will be leaving Lordi. There is no drama, no major issues or anything like that. I just feel very strong urge to do something else in music and to be available for other musical journeys, what ever those will be. I will do the summer festivals with Lordi and after that it's time for the new guy to take it from there. I wanna thank the band and especially the best fans on this planet, for these 13 years and the greatest ride of my life. I love you all from the pound of my heart and I hope to see you again somewhere sometime."
