Khemmis Reveals New EP Details

Denver, Colorado based doomed heavy metal quartet Khemmis unveil their new EP, "Doomed Heavy Metal," which will be released digitally on April 17th via Nuclear Blast.

In celebration of the announcement the band are pleased to reveal a live video for their cover of Dio's "Rainbow In The Dark." Watch the video below.

The band comments: "As lifelong fans of ZZ Top, ‘Fandango’ has been a consistent source of inspiration for the four of us. The combination of high-octane live cuts and rare studio recordings make the release stand out in the band’s discography. In that tradition, we are thrilled to announce Doomed Heavy Metal. This mini-album is similarly unique, combining sought-after singles and live cuts together on one record. We’ve topped it all off with a newly recorded version of DIO's immortal 'Rainbow in the Dark'. For those who have clamoured for the re-release of the long out of print 'Empty Throne' and 'Conversation with Death', your calls have been answered. We hope new and old fans alike will pick up the album, pour a tall glass of their favourite beverage, and party with us!" More...

Venom Inc. Enters The Studio

Veteran heavy metal band Venom Inc. has entered the studio to record their new album. The follow up to their 2017 debut release "Avé" will once more be released on Nuclear Blast Records. The recording is being done between, England, Portugal and America and it will have Jeff “Mantas” Dunn at the helm as producer once again..

The new album marks the second recording under the name Venom Inc., while guitarist Mantas and frontman Demolition Man have a long history as recording artists together in Venom, M:Pire Of Evil and Mantas solo projects. It also marks the recording debut on a major label for multi-instrumentalist, Venom Inc. drummer Jeramie "War Machine" Kling (also of Massacre) who joined the band in 2018.

Venom Inc. singer/bassist Tony "The Demolition Man" Dolan states:
"I am a firm believer that you try to better yourself in life, not by comparison to anyone else but to yourself..

"Making a new album, proudly under a label like Nuclear Blast, gives me that opportunity again..
If ‘Avé’ was a great album, then this new one needs to be even greater… if the performances on ‘AVÉ’ were the best we could be then, it will follow that we will outdo ourselves and be better than we were… We don’t care how good or bad ANYONE else is… we are here to challenge ourselves. With the 3 of us in total synchronisation and firing every cylinder we each have, expect something, intense, powerful, dark, spitting, visceral, foreboding, and no holds barred… HEAVY AS A FUCKING WORLD MADE FROM LEAD! Feel the Fire, Hear us Roar… for WE ARE VENOM INC!"

Guitarist Jeff "Mantas" Dunn fills in:
"I have always maintained that I am a man of few words, I let the music do the talking and this motherfucker is speaking volumes and has not stopped to draw breath. Furious, aggressive, relentless, vicious, culled from experience and hatred and with the personnel to deliver it, this makes no excuses for what it is... HEAVY FUCKING METAL!"

Drummer Jeramie "The WarMachine" Kling:
"For the new Venom Inc. album I have tried a new technique. I have started by completely dismantling my drums and replacing the usual drum kit with rockets bought in hell.... and the rest of the kit you ask ?!? Well, that’s been replaced by flame throwers, gun powder and a tank gun!!! And I’m driving it all like a fucking WARMACHINE straight at you! Nothing is safe and nothing will survive!!"

Venom Inc. reunites the former ‘Prime Evil’ era of Venom bandmates Demolition Man and Mantas and is complemented by The Absence and Massacre drummer Jeramie "War Machine" Kling, who joined the fold early 2018. Since the release of "Avé" the band has intensively toured through Europe, Asia, America, Australia, New Zealand and South-America, both on big festivals and club venues.

Paradise Lost Announces New Album, "Obsidian"

Obsidian… dark, reflective and black: it’s a pretty decent description of the music that Paradise Lost have been making over the last 32 years, even though this most resilient of British metal bands have stoically refused to be pinned down to one easily defined formula. Powered by a lust for creativity and a stout devotion to haunting heaviness, Paradise Lost have defied the odds by coming back stronger than ever over the past decade. "Obsidian", the new album of Gothic legends Paradise Lost will be released on 15th May.

Today, the band releases a snippet to tease the fans with a a short piece of that masterwork, which can be heard below.

Singer Nick Holmes comments about the new album:
"One of the most eclectic albums we have done in some time, we have miserable songs, sad songs ,slow songs and faster songs. Did I mention miserable?"

The sixteenth Paradise Lost studio album, „Obsidian“ eschews its immediate predecessors’ gruesome, myopic approach in favour of a richer and more dynamic deluge of black shades. From the deceptive elegance and dual atmospheres of opener ‚Darker Thoughts‘ through to the crushing, baroque doom of war-torn closer ‚Ravenghast‘,„Obsidian“ reveals a band in masterful control of a broad array of vital ideas. Most noticeably, the record boasts several songs that draw heavily from the much-loved, Kohl-encrusted days of ‘80s gothic rock: in particular, newly-minted Paradise Lost anthems‚Ghosts‘ is a guaranteed dancefloor-filler at any discerning goth nightclub. Grave Digger Reveals New Album Details

With metal anthems like 'Heavy Metal Breakdown', Grave Digger became one of the most influential and pioneering bands of the German heavy metal scene since the early 80s, and 2020 will celebrate the 40th anniversary of these Teutonic metal masters in glorious style!
On their 20th studio album, titled Fields Of Blood, the band around frontman Chris Boltendahl continues their epic Highlands story! Fields of Blood is the logic consequence of a legendary trilogy and an auditory battle of unique traditional metal. Slated for a release on May 29th via Napalm Records, Fields Of Blood will take us on an emotional journey through Scottish history and into explosive sound landscapes.

Driving riffs and epic choruses meet the famous "Great Highland Bagpipes": In the Highlands, the battlefields of Stirling, Bannockburn and Culloden, the listener will find himself on a rollercoaster between grief and triumph again, suffers and wins with the Scottish freedom fighters. After "The Clans Will Rise Again" and "Tunes Of War", Grave Digger close their Highland saga in epic style. Today, the iconic band has not only unveiled the incredible album artwork, but is also sharing a first single to the epic magnum opus, “All For The Kingdom”! And hell yes, this track perfectly sets the scene for the final and long-awaited part of their Scottish highland trilogy: "All for the Kingdom" is a mercilessly epic song that shows the direction of the new Grave Digger album. No prisoners are taken here and Grave Digger prove what they do best even after 40 years of their impressive band history. Choruses and riffs that cut into your ear canals and hearts to stay there, as well as hundreds of thousands Highlanders have remained on the battlefields, believing in a better life in freedom and independence. Watch Grave Digger's brand new video for the drifting riff and heavy metal masterpiece, "All For The Kingdom," below.

"We did it again and put on the kilts... as we always got fascinated by Scotland and its history." Says frontman Chris Boltendahl. "For a long time we considered when the right time would be to return to the Highlands, delve into their legends and myths. Our 40th band anniversary seems to be the right occasion for this and so we take you on a trip for the third time... put on the kilts and pull out your swords and axes, follows us to Stirling and Culloden and experience up close Scottish history, up close, authentic and emotional. As William Wallace / Braveheart said: Yes, they may take our lives. But they never take away our freedom!" More...

Bonfire Posts New Music Video Online

It’s been exactly two years since Bonfire, following the outstanding debut of their current vocalist Alexx Stahl on "Byte The Bullet" (2017), were unanimously celebrated for their successor album "Temple Of Lies" (2018). Two years which saw the band rock countless stages at home and abroad before going on to set the bar even higher with their latest offering.

"Fistful Of Fire" is definitely one of the toughest Bonfire albums ever. "This development already became apparent the last time around," explains guitarist and founder member Hans Ziller. "However, this time our approach was even more focused and consistent. I’ve always been the tough guy in Bonfire but haven’t always been able to implement my ideas the way I wanted. But since our tour with Judas Priest, we’ve known that toughness in combination with great melodies suits Bonfire perfectly."

"Fistful Of Fire" features this very mix: throughout the 11 songs (plus three intros), the band from Ingolstadt, which has operated under its established logo for almost 35 years, fire on all cylinders. "Unlike previous Bonfire vocalists, Alexx oozes so much energy that you may occasionally have to hold him back rather than motivate him. We’ve been a hard rock band from the very beginning, but that has never been more apparent than in 2020." More...

Soilwork Posts New Music Video Online

Swedish visionary metallers Soilwork have released a brand new song called "Desperado." It is the second instalment in Soilwork's 'Feverish' trilogy which might also eventually end up becoming a so far unknown entity. Rotting Christ Postpones North American Tour

A statement posted on the band's official Facebook page reads as follows:

"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are numerous states and cities on the Devastation On The Nation Tour that are putting bans on gatherings anywhere between 100-1000 people.
