Loud Rage Music is proud to announce the addition of a new band in its roster: Tampa Bay, Florida based symphonic extreme metal act Shadow Society, which features members of Deicide, Circle II Circle, and Order of Ennead.
The band self-released debut EP, “Into the Unknown,” in 2013 and is now working on completing the track list for an upcoming debut album due to be out on Loud Rage Music later this year. Shadow Society's Rob Thoth comments:
“We are very excited to be working with Adrian and Loud Rage Music. When he approached the band and asked what we were looking for I responded with 'A label that appreciates our music and enjoys it, as well as wants to help take us to the next level.' We found those qualities in Loud Rage Music and are looking forward towards the next chapter for all of us! Plus, the label is based in Transylvania, can you get any more dark and metal than that?”
Loud Rage also adds: “We are very pleased to work with and for such a promising band as Shadow Society. Tampa Bay, Florida gave the World some of the most influential names in Death Metal, it’s time for a new name to emerge from those gifted lands, and Shadow Society is that name. Judging by their impressive debut EP, 'Into the Unknown,' I have no doubts the band will deliver an Earth-shattering full-length album, so keep your eyes on Loud Rage Music and Shadow Society for this album’s developing story!”

Swedish guitarist and producer Ola Englund (The Haunted, Feared) has released a demo sample for a new track taken from his solo project Solar. Commenting on the reasons behind the creation of Solar, Ola Englund said:
“The idea with the project is for me to have an outlet of all my melodies and ideas that doesn't really fit in any of the other bands I play in. I'm thinking of keeping it as an ongoing project with the ability to have different kinds of guest musicians contributing. But as of right now I don’t feel I have the production/mixing skills to take on a project like this so I feel that when I end up with doing a full album I would need to hire someone to do it.”
Regarding the new audio sample, the guitarist adds: “I've decided to release the demo of the first part for free to download on this page. If you want to support you can put in an amount that you would want to donate when snagging the download. You will be contributing to more music being made. If budget allows try and make a full production with drums etc… for the full-fledged album.”
Today, cult black metallers Entartung stream the entirety of new album, "Peccata Mortalia," which was released last week by W.T.C. Productions internationally.
Give it a listen below, courtesy of Decibel Magazine. W.T.C. Productions also issued the following press relesae:
"Entartung Krypteia debut displayed a young black metal band with an old soul, breathing deep the spirit of ancient darkness. But with Peccata Mortalia, Entartung exhale a crypt-stench stronger than death. Indeed, Peccata Mortalia displays the duo in an even stronger (black)light, the songwriting both more assured and distinctive and the execution more vile and grim.
"Shadow-draped yet melodic, despite the band's Teutonic origins, Entartung forego the mystical/medieval vibe of their country's usual black metal style and, in fact, slot well alongside Finland's filthy and emotive idiom of the past decade. By any description, however, Peccata Mortalia is black metal traditionalism par excellence." More...
Swedish heavy metal act Portrait today announces the release of new album "Crossroads" for April 25th in Europe and April 29th in North America.
Pre-order information is available via Metal Blade here and the new single "In Time" can be heard below. Portrait also comments:
"'Crossroads' is a sevenfold blessing and curse upon a dying music scene, an album imbued with something untouchable and yet undeniable. This first single 'In Time' was the first song written for 'Crossroads' and is one of the more straight-forward ones of the album. Bang or be banged!"
Guitarist Christian Lindell adds: "This is our most important album up to date in so many ways, and we couldn't be more satisfied with the final outcome. To me personally, Portrait has finally become what I have always wanted the band to be, and we are hungrier than ever. The new album will speak for itself, and the year 2014 will be a year of Truth and of Conquest. Beware!"

The mysterious and grim Spanish black metal band Wrong has inked an agreement with Xtreem Music for the imminent release of a second album titled "Pessimistic Outcomes" and will include five tracks with a total length of 47 minutes.
This duet, formed by Phlegeton (Wormed, Human Mincer, Banished From Inferno, Godüs) and DP Rey (The Ytriple Corporation, Neverdie), started as a project in November 2012 and then in February 2013 released debut album "Memories of Sorrow" through Aphelion Productions.
"Pessimistic Outcomes" was entirely produced by the band at Delta314 Sound Studio. Xtreem Music also comments:
"Wrong displays a very particular vision of Black Metal, performed with conviction and skills, near the swedish Shining, full of desperate and mysterious passages, disturbing pianos, similar to Lifelover or Lunar Aurora, sharp guitars that reveal hypnotic melodies and dark dissonances in the style of Blut Aus Nord, combined with raw mid-paced passages that reminds to Khold but somewhat more dynamic, incorporating powerful galloping rhythms similar to Craft, and of course without giving up traditional quick bursts like Taake or early Satyricon. "Enemy Of Logic is about the opportunity to choose for yourself what you want to believe in and not live your life according to someone else's rules. Sadly there are a lot of people in the world who are forced into a certain belief system or way of life that they have no say in. It worries me that in a lot of cases these systems, that should be there to unite people, have been distorted, causing violent conflict, tearing our world apart." More...
