I have photographed these guys four times. Just love them. Best part is, they treat me like Royalty. There sophomore album COME TO LIFE, is a must have for all Rock and Metal fans alike. With songs like, Suckerpunch and Mud to Dust. This is on band to be reckoned with, Hailing from Chicago, IL. American Motherload plays the Midwest area. They are currently in pre production to the new CD. Hitting the studio in about 1 month. There is some talk about me going to the studio to help document the recording process with my camera. REALLY looking forward to it. More...
Bloodsimple took the stage with a fairly descent crowd. The boys came out with a furry of hard hitting drums by Chris Hamilton. Leading the pack on Bass is Kyle Sanders. Kyle was GREAT to photograph, with long ass dreads flying all over the place. Especially being left handed (Like myself), he was impressive to watch. Mike Kennedy and Nick Rowe supplied the Drop “D” guitar riffs and licks, followed by Tim Williams on vocals. This band had the crowd in a frenzy. The Mosh Pit was pretty impressive for a smaller venue (Pieres). I read some previous review on the fact that Tim’s voice has been alittle haggard. I can assure you, He was at full tilt. Very impressive. Although, the band didn’t come out and meet the crowd (At least to my knowledge), they definitely did one hell of a job. Entertaining to watch and sound good as hell. More...
The Black Dahlia Murder were forced to cancel two gigs last week - Minneapolis on February 22 and Chicago on February 23 - because of immigration issues. New drummer Pierre Langlois was denied entry to the U.S. from his native Canada on Monday. In the interim, Chimaira's Kevin Talley has agreed to fill in. The band resumed touring in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Friday, February 24.
A full-length version of the first single, "Nothin' To Lose," from the upcoming self-titled debut from REBEL MEETS REBEL, the project featuring three of the founding members of PANTERA (drummer Vinnie Paul, guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott and bassist Rex Brown) together with legendary country singer/outlaw David Allan Coe, has been posted online at the band's MySpace.com page. The song starts off with the sounds of David and Dimebag playing slot machines, and then you hear the awesome crunch of that classic Dimebag groove. The single will go for radio adds on March 14. The full-length CD is due on May 2 via Vinnie Paul's Big Vin Records, which has secured a distribution deal via Fontana. A "mega-huge" CD-release party will be held at a "secret location" in Dallas, to be revealed at the last minute. Vinnie (and some other special guests) will be on hand to sign copies of the CD and play it in its entirety for the first time in public.
Described as a unique crossover of country, metal and rock, REBEL MEETS REBEL's self-titled CD was recorded and mixed over a four-year period (1999-2003) at Chasin Jason studios in Dalworthington Gardens, Texas and is set to contain a total of 12 tracks, including "Nothin' To Lose", "No Compromise", "Rebel Meets Rebel", "Cowboys", "Panfilo", "Heartworn Highway", "One Night Stand", "Arizona Rivers", "New York City Streets" and "Get Outta My Life". Audio samples of six songs are currently available on their official web site.
According to Vinnie, a possibility exists that a touring version of REBEL MEETS REBEL will hit the road this summer. Fans are invited to cast a vote on the site to make the tour a reality.
As previously reported, Big Vin will simultaneously be releasing "DimeVision - Vol 1: That's The Fun I Have", a tribute DVD to late PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. The disc, "which remembers and celebrates the life of my brother," according to Vinnie, will feature Dime's stellar guitar playing and offbeat brand of humor, and is sure to be a title every serious PANTERA fan will have to own.

HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak has posted the following message on the group's official web site:
"The Winter Olympics 2006 are over, and it ended on a high note for us: Sweden beat Finland 3-2 in the ice-hockey final, in a very exciting and nerve-racking game. Actually, the Finns were the most impressive team in this tournament, winning every match decisively until the final round and easily beating the second best playing team this year, Russia, in the semi-finals. But the Swedes played a beautiful game on the ice, cutting the Finns short on almost every occasion. I know our neighbors in the east (or west, for that matter…) won't agree with me, but it was a most fitting end to the XXth games, with Sweden winning their seventh (!) gold medal. Congratulations to everyone who made this the by far most succcessful Winter Olympics for our nation. And thanks for the great memories! I have only one question: what am I supposed to fill my days with now? :-)More...

THERION founder/frontman Christofer Johnsson has posted the following notice to the fans at the band's official website:
"The Therion page at MySpace is NOT in any way connected to the band members and the blog there is NOT written by anybody in the band. We have been aware of that someone had this page for a while, but as it didn't cause any huge problems, it has mainly been annoyed fans concerned about the task to reveal that this site has nothing to do with the band. However, as posts pointing the page being fake has been deleted by the person behind it, there has been notifications of abuse sent to MySpace. Discovering that there is now also a blog, where the person behind this site speak in the name of the band, Therion have now contacted My Space too, in order to resolve the issue."

Scarefactor is a seasoned metal act from Detroit, Michigan, and unlike the motor city's hometown hero, Kid 'I went Country' Rock, this extremely volatile and fueled by pain thrash metal band personifies the true underground heavy music scene. I hear literally hundreds of metal singers through my research every month, and I am really thrilled to have a chance to interview Chad Elliott, lead vocalist for Scarefactor, one of the more talented screamers I've heard in recent years.
