The Divining have posted two brand new songs, "Beyond The Point of Return" and "Tongues of Flame" from their upcoming full length album "Reprisal" on their purevolume site. The album was recorded December 2004 - January 2005 at Skylight Studio (A Life Once Lost, The Minor Times, Bury Your Dead, etc.) and is due out June 14, 2005 on Dressed To Kill Records (USA). The band has chosen the illustrious Stefan Ameus to create the artwork.
Evergrey are pleased to announce new show dates including the support slot for James Labrie (Dream Theater) in Europe. This tour will be followed by a two week headline tour of Europe and a DVD release tour which will include some acoustic gigs/signing sessions. During some of these appearances they will have the DVD projected on large screens.

The Swedish metal band In Flames wins the Swedish Grammy Award for the best hardrock / metal album of 2004 with their latest album "Soundtrack To Your Escape".
The Swedish melodic death metal band Within Y have recruited a new member, since their former guitarist Niklas left his position in the band. The band have posted the following message at their official website:
We are proud to bring you the news that we have a new guitarist! He will replace Niklas, since he sadly decided to leave us last December. The new guy's name is Niknam Moslehi. Feel free to use the guestbook to make him feel welcome! New pics will be added soon.
The Swedish heavy metal band Hammerfall will appear on Swedish national television and radio this week. On February 10 the band will appear on "Nyhetsmorgon" (TV 4), 05:59 - 09:45 (CET). The band will also be at the Swedish radio show "Lantz i P3" (P3) on February 11, 11:00 - 13:00 (CET).
Cattle Decapitation will be signing autographs on Friday, February 18th at The Palladium in Worcester, MA. After the Cattle Decapitation set head over to the FYE table to meet the band and get an autograph.

The album will hit the stores Feb. 21.
The first Gotthard single in 2005 will be released on April 11th 2005 and will contain the song "Lift U Up." A large picture gallery and the video to "Lift U Up" will be on the CD as well. On June 7th 2005 the new album will be in the stores.

So far Velvet Revolver has only confirmed one date for their upcoming spring tour and it's at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, BC on March 31st (it's different from the previously announced April date). Tickets go on sale 9:30am this Saturday for $35.50, $47.50 and $65.50 (plus tax and service charge).

Finnish funeral doom metal act Tyranny is currently working on the debut full-length album and has just posted a mp3 track as a preview of the upcoming album. Head here for a taste.
Highly acclaimed Danish doom/death band SATURNUS, which was long absent from the scene, is back again searching for a record label to sign them.
Saturnus is one of the most praised band in doom/death genre and received fabolous critical applause for their "Paradise Belongs to You" and "Martyre" albums as well as "For the Loveless Lonely Nights" mini-album. Now they have new album recorded and looking for a label interested in releasing it. Interested parties should contact the band at: email@example.com.
One-man funeral doom/death project Catacombs (pre-Hierophant) has just signed with U.S. label Moribund Records.
The release date is not yet known because John D Russi (the man behind the band) is currently working on it and no details have been revealed so far. However, he assures that Catacombs music will reach yet the next level of heaviness and extremism.
In the meantime, the first Catacombs release is available for free download on the band's official website.
Belgian heavy doomsters Thee Plague of Gentlemen are to release a full-length album Primula Pestis through Swedish label I Hate Records.
The album will contain seven songs of total playing time of 44 minutes and will be enhanced with two video clips to the songs Blackwood Cabinet and The Ocean Has No Sides. The tracklist is as follows:

Long- time running epic doom masters While Heaven Wept are currently rehearsing material for their much aniticipated full-length album Vast Oceans Lachrymose.
Tom Phillips has posted detailed news and up-date on the up-coming album. Here's what he says:
"Currently we're rehearsing the material for the forthcoming Vast Oceans Lachrymose album, and are slated to begin recording in April, with a release date of late September/early October. Although we haven't finalized the tracklist for the album, these are some of the songs that may make the final cut:
Contrary to rumors, Poison The Well have not broken up. Rather, since returning from their recent European tour with Dillinger Escape Plan, the group has been working on getting new members, Jason Boyer (guitar) and Ben Brown (bass), acclimated. According to the band, "We are very excited to be working with such talented people. Everything has been working out great thus far and we couldn't be happier." Meanwhile, PTW have been writing material for their next album, which they intend to begin recording this Spring. The band will once again be recording in Umea, Sweden at Tonteknik Studios with producers Pelle Henricsson and Eskil Lovstrom. Regarding the new record, the group states that "It's too premature to give a direction in which we are going, all [we] can say is it's going to be different."
ILL NINO have posted the following message on their official web site:
"We've been in the studio for the last 35 days, freezing our balls off, writing some heavy fuckin' shit, jamming all day, eating rice and beans and busting each other's balls. The new music is coming out sweeter than your sister's ass, everything we want the new CD to be, percussive, brutally heavy, Latin, and very melodic, all you guys will be very pleased. We'll start the recording process our new CD the third week of February. Also keep your eyes on the tour date section, as we're playing, two very exclusive dates in the tri-state area early March. Adema, who now include vocalist Luke Caraciolli, are to release new single 'Tornado' through Earache on March 21. Available in in seven inch and CD formats, the latter also featurs a cover of Metallica's 'The Thing That Should Not Be'. 'Tornado' comes from the new album 'Planets'.
Marilyn Manson will have his song "Use Your Fist And Not Your Mouth" featured in the new game "Cold Fear". The game is set for a US release next month.
Motorhead are to play a special 30th annversary show at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on June 16.
Michael Schenker has now finished recording new album 'Tales Of Rock 'N' Roll'. It will feature 18 songs in all, with a number of singers guesting. These include Gary Barden and Robin MacAuly.
