Anthrax has issued the following statement about their recent Red Bull show that was cut short:
"We want to apologize to our fans that came out to the Red Bull event last night in the hellish cold to see us play. It was an awesome event that we were honored to play but things just didn't go off quite like planned.
"Originally, we were to go on just before 9 PM and play for 45-minutes. One of the snowboarding events ran very late which caused us to delay the start of our set. That and a curfew we were not informed about until 9:30 PM snowballed into an unfortunate situation that was beyond our control. As we were walking to the stage, we were instructed to cut our set to three songs, and no one was more surprised than us when they cut the PA before we could finish the third song. We are particularly mortified that this happened when our good friend, Chuck D, had just taken the stage for “Bring the Noise”. We extend our apologies to him.
"Nothing like this has ever happened to Anthrax before, and we regret that it happened last night. Thank you to those who came out to support and once again our sincere apologies."

The official 2009 Auditory Assault Festival website has been updated with the following information:
"Auditory Assault will take place at Club Europa located in Greenpoint Brooklyn, NY. 98 Meserole Ave
"Our original intention was to have the fest take place in Manhattan, but we discovered that most clubs don't like any outside promoters and are asking for way too much of a rental fee. To put it plainly, most clubs wanted so much that even if their venue was filled to capacity we wouldn't have enough money to pay the bands based on our desire to keep the ticket price reasonable. Europa is not an extremely big venue, so it's recommended that you get an advance ticket when they go on sale before the end of February
Here is a full list of bands confirmed for Auditory Assault:
Brutal Truth (New York)
Pigsty (Czech Republic)
Total Fucking Destruction(Pennsylvania)
Jig-Ai (Czech Republic)
Kill The Client (Texas)
Defeatist (New York)
Copremesis (New York)

Switchblade has issued the following update about collobarating with Nevermore guitarist Jeff Loomis:
"Sydney's Switchblade are proud to announce that guitar legend Jeff Loomis (Nevermore) will be contributing a guest guitar solo on the band's new album. Currently being mixed in Chicago by producer/engineer Neil Kernon, the track "Reflective Curse" was chosen to be the candidate for Jeff's signature shredding.
Switchblade drummer Mat commented on the collaboration:
"I don't think it's really sunk in yet that it's happened... We started off talking about this years ago with Jeff and after so long you think everyone would be too busy to make it happen, but Neil was into the idea and once we asked Jeff again he was still keen to do it. So we're really thankful that Neil and Jeff both took the time to make it happen. The solo is just incredible... Jeff's playing with Nevermore has been one of our major influences since day 1 so to work on this track together is just crazy. I can't wait for people to hear it!" More...
