Russian Circles is preparing for the band's first tour to Europe since 2008, now in support of their album "Geneva." "But rough around the edges, so it sounds more like a live record."

Vocalist brendan7 comments on the contractual partnership, "Finally, after weighing many options, Bit Riot has gracefully joined us in our quest to spread our message of despair and nothingness. This day brings us closer to the final end."
"Things have stayed dark in our lives and have not gotten better since the winter of scorn and solitude. We are now continuing on our path and will be heading out to spread our message of darkness, and hopelessness."
Montreal extreme metal band ION DISSONANCE are currently at .357 Productions with Ion guitar player, Antoine Lussier at the production helm. The new album is tentatively set for an early summer release.
Vocalist Kevin states, “So we are currently wrapping up our third week in the studio. The drum tracks have been completed and we are now halfway through recording guitars. Everything is going a hell of a lot better than we could ever expect. As a result, we are all stoked beyond belief at how retarded these new tracks sound."
“Have you ever noticed that every band recording lately tends to release the exact same quote? ‘This recording is the best ever put out, and the songs are the best ever written, and blah blah blah.’ Well, we want to switch it up a little bit and mention that this recording will be what you make it out to be." New York progressive dark metal band Grey Skies Fallen has issued the following update:
"Well, the latest stretch of band turmoil seems to have passed, and we are now getting 4 songs ready to record an EP. Of course the EP will be available only digitally, as it is the year 2010, and I don't want boxes of unsold CD's in my garage anymore! Track listing: The Grand Scheme of Things Forever and a Day, Faces, Names By the Wayside. As far as when this will be released, let's just file it under the 'sort-of soon' category."
Italian metal band Fleshgod Apocalypse has issued the following update:
"We finally finished the recording session of the new EP! Right now, after the first listenings of this new one we decided that the best thing to do is not saying anything as anticipation. Yes, it will be '[more] epic than ever, faster and violent'…bla bla… but we do believe that everything can sound reductive for these new songs. This material is ours but yours as well, that’s why we don’t want/need to influence your opinions in some way. We’ll upload a new song in few days so keep your eyes open! By now, we can show you the new masterpiece of Marco Hasmann!" More...
New York metal band Architect has issued the following update:
"We started writing our new record. it doesn't have a title. it doesn't have anything yet. its just a baby of an idea, but it is already potent as hell. We are two songs in and already i feel like a 'structure fire' inside."

Limited Access Records recently announced the signing of Italy's Spellbound Dazzle.
Back in August 2009 the boys from the mountainous region around Cortina d’Ampezzo met legendary producer Siggi Bemm (Tiamat, Kreator, Lacuna Coil) at his Woodhouse Studios in Hagen, Germany to work on the production of a fantastic album. The album does not fit into any scheme, as SPELLBOUND DAZZLE “combines modern metal groove with classic hard rock, add progressive elements and garnish the result with Folk and Polka rhythms.” For Siggi Bemm “Unreal Fairy Tales” is simply “the best album of the past 10 years!”

This winter, Lazarus A.D. once again teamed up with Vision 4 Films to shoot their next video. "Absolute Power" will premiere sometime before their upcoming tour with Kreator, Voivod, Nachtmystium and Evile. The video is a bit different than their last two in that it has a bit of a story line.
Guitarist Dan Gapen comments: “We just shot the new video for our next single 'Absolute Power.' I would say it was fun but to be honest it was cold, windy and rainy the day of the shoot and I froze my ass off. All I have to say is this fucking video better come out sweet or I’m kicking the directors ass…haha! I think when it’s done, everyone will like how it turned out. Jason & Emmitt from Vision4Films are pros at what they do, we can’t say thank you enough. We look forward to seeing everyone on the upcoming Spring tour w/ Kreator and Voivod!”

British metal outfit Anterior has announced that they have found a permanent drummer in newcomer James Cook. A message from the band reads as follows:
"After a long time searching we have finally found a new drummer. If any of you saw us play in December the fine gentlemen behind the kit will now be joining the band full time. We would like to welcome James Cook into the band and are very excited to see what he adds to the fold. He did a great job on our December tour with only a few rehearsals beforehand. He is a great guy and an exceptional musician.
"On this note we are still writing for the album and cannot wait to see what James can add to the new material. We will be going into the studio in a few months time to record our second album to be released later this year on Metal Blade Records.
"Thank you all for your love and support, we hope to see you on the road very soon. Keep checking back for updates."

"We’re really happy to have our good friend and fellow Floridian Nick Augusto join the Trivium family. Nick’s drumming is very technical and diverse and he brings a real intense energy to the band and we can’t wait for everyone to hear the new song, ‘Shattering the Skies Above', that we just recorded with Nick. I think it’s the best Trivium recording we’ve ever done; it’s raw, full of energy and I think Nick’s drumming really pushed us to a new level." More...
