FABCHANNEL, the famous Dutch web TV, filmed ASRAI's last January 4th performance at Paradiso, Amsterdam. You can watch this pro-shot full performance online here.
According to PerthNow, the power blew half way through RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's opening track "Testify" at the band's February 3 concert at Claremont Showgrounds in Perth, Australia. Stunned audience members, many of whom had paid the ticket price just to see the newly reformed RAGE, held their breath. Would the band storm off stage? Was this the end of the night? The band continued on good naturedly, letting the crowd sing along to the unamplified music.
"Let's try that again shall we," frontman Zach de la Rocha declared when the power was restored.
"Good evening, we are RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE from Los Angeles California."

The new BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE album, "Scream Aim Fire", has achieved the following first-week chart positions so far:
United Kingdom: #5
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE is on track to sell between 45,000 and 50,000 copies of "Scream Aim Fire" in the United States in its first week on shelves, according to Hits Daily Double. That puts the Welsh hard rockers in contention for the Number One slot on the Billboard 200 album chart, where it's battling for the top spot with ALICIA KEYS, the "Juno" soundtrack, a Grammy nominees compilation and a new effort from the MARS VOLTA. However, topping the chart this week will be a less than impressive feat, since early sales figures indicate that this week's Number One album will be the lowest-selling in modern chart history.
A Number One debut might still be sweet for BULLET singer Matt Tuck, who told The Pulse of Radio that making the disc was a difficult process. "Yeah, totally, every day for the last eight months, prior to it getting actually mixed and mastered and finished, it was like just a never-ending struggle every day, really," he said. "But, you know, it's definitely worth the work."
"Scream Aim Fire" arrived in stores last Tuesday (January 29).
First-week sales figures will arrive later this week.
The CD follows up the group's acclaimed 2006 full-length debut, "The Poison", which has sold 375,000 copies in the U.S.
BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will join AVENGED SEVENFOLD and ATREYU on this winter's Taste of Chaos tour beginning on February 29 in Denver.
Italian metallers ELDRITCH have issued the following update:
"So, here we are again.... The band is working hard for the March 22nd event (plus the live DVD recording of such show). Oleg Smirnoff will surely play the old tracks from the 1st three albums. For the rest, there will probably be some special guest on stage, but nothing official yet..."
"The songwriting for the new album will begin in the months to come.... What else???"
"Hope to see the most of you guys at the DVD gig and in the meantime the band wishes everybody to keep the faith!!"
"Rock on..." More...
On February 14, 2008 Negative Existence, in cooperation with Deathgasm Records, will officially release PROFANATICA's classic video footage on deluxe double DVD format. The DVD will be entitled "The Enemy of Virtue". The two disc set will contain all of the band’s live footage, interviews, with additional material.
The Legendary and influential PROFANATICA set the example for the second wave of Black Metal in the early 1990’s. During this time, PROFANATICA extensively toured the North Eastern United States, often shocking many with their sick and blasphemous live act. This official DVD set contains the following blasphemous rituals:
G. Willikers: Pennsauken, NJ - 1991
Candlewood Inn: Brookfield, CT - January 4, 1992
G. Willikers: Pennsauken, NJ – February 1, 1992
Club Baby Head: Providence, RI – June 11, 1992
The Briar Patch: Carmel, NY – September 14, 1992
Connections Tavern: Clifton, NJ – July 14, 2001
The professional double DVD is playable on all DVD players world wide. Both discs are region free and double sided for both NTSC and PAL. The DVDs come in a clear case with a full color cover and also includes an insert with detailed information about the video recordings.
You can get more information or order the DVD from Negative-Existence for $17.00 here.
PROFANATICA have released two demos, a live album, three EPs, two splits, two best of albums and surprisingly only one full length album.

Mitchell Peters of Billboard.com reports that P.O.D.'s new album, "When Angels & Serpents Dance" (due April 8 via INO/Columbia), features guest appearances from the MARLEY SISTERS, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES singer Mike Muir and HELMET guitarist Page Hamilton. The song "Kaliforn-Eye-A", which features vocals from Muir, allowed P.O.D. to collaborate with an "iconic punk rock figure that played an influence on us as a band," says guitarist Marcos Curiel, who rejoined the band in 2006. "It's a more upbeat song about where we came from."
Curiel exited P.O.D. following 2001's "Satellite" (Atlantic), which has moved 3.2 million units in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. "We were at the height of our career and all of a sudden this big mess happened," the guitarist says, declining to give specifics about leaving the band. "It was just business."

Ryszard Nowak, who heads the All-Polish Committee for Defence against Sects, has reportedly registered an official complaint with the authorities in Poland regarding a BEHEMOTH concert that took place in the Polish city of Gdynia in September 2007 that included the destruction of a Bible by the band's leader, vocalist/guitarist Adam "Nergal" Darski. During a break in the show, Nergal apparently called the Catholic Church "the most murderous cult on the planet" before tearing up the Bible, stating, "they call it the Holy Book, I call this the book of lies. Fuck the shit, fuck the hypocrisy."
Fan-filmed video footage of the incident can be viewed below (the Bible-tearing takes place around the 45-second mark).
Nowak is no stranger to controversy, having previously compiled a list of artists who allegedly "promote Satanism" through their music and distributed it to various Polish officials in an attempt to get the artists banned from performing in Poland.
It is not presently clear if any action will be taken against Nergal, who previously stated about Nowak's efforts to get BEHEMOTH banned from performing in the group's home country, "I am shocked; this must be some kind of joke. We've been touring around the whole world — United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Russia — and we've not had any problems anywhere. I am surprised that we are being judged by our appearance and that no one even took the time to contact us and ask us what our music is all about. Other than that, come on — there are enough serious matters to be dealt with in Poland! The authorities would be better off spending their time on things that really need to be improved and taken care of." More...

The following announcement has been posted via Ventflow's myspace account:
"Lee was rushed to hospital last night and is undergoing surgery on his appendix. We hope he'll be ok, he's a tough git anyway but our best wishes are with him.
Sadly this means we are unable to do the gig this weekend with malefice. Lee especially was looking forward to the gig, as we were gonna showcase some of our new material for the album. Its unfortunate but Lees health is far more important than any gig.
No doubt he'll still want to get up on stage and put on a kick ass show for u guys, but he's gonna be laid up in bed for a few weeks I imagine.
We are visiting him later today in hospital. If anyone wants to pass a message on to him wishing him well then just send us a message on the ventfow 'space saying "get well soon lee" in the subject and I'll pass any messages on to him. I'm sure he'd appreciate it as he is gonna be gutted we can't do the gig.
The band are currently working on new material for their first full length CD which is yet to be titled.
A message from mainman Jason Healey reads: "Here it is, track 1 from Atomizer's fourth and final studio album Caustic Music For The Spiritually Bankrupt. I have also posted a little spoken piece offering some insights into the track."
"I will be posting a new song and explanation each week for the next 13 weeks."
"An embeddable video has been posted (see here). This is a very raw clip with the music from 'Caustic Transmissions' as the soundbed. "
"An official release date is yet to be announced." More...

Last August saw Thunderstone part ways with vocalist Pasi Rantanen and keyboard player Kari Tornack, leaving fans wondering about the future of the band. The band, however, did not rest on its heels and did a full European tour in October-December, recruiting vocalist Tommi "Tuple" Salmela from TAROT and keyboardist Jukka Karinen. The temporary line-up created a flood of speculation, which will come to an end with the announcement of the new line-up.
The new vocalist of Thunderstone is Rick Altzi from Sweden. Rick has contributed his wonderful voice to many metal albums, most recently with Swedish AT VANCE. More...
