In other MUDVAYNE news, the band is widely believed to have also landed a slot as part of this years OZZFEST 2005. Despite no offical confirmation from either band, or management having surfaced, talk at the recent NAMM convention further highlighted the bands intended participation in the Summer long tour. Drummer Matt McDonough in an interview conducted with Closed Coffin compounded this notion by stating, "I'm assuming we'll do this headlining tour coming up, we'll do a Summer festival, we'll do another headlining tour in the Fall, leading into Christmas, head into a break and then come back after that, after Christmas. Then who knows, but there is potential that we'll do at least three more US runs!".
GOD FORBID have checked in with the following update:
"We are about halfway through composing our next metal masterpiece, IV: Constitution of Treason, and I have to say that the writing is going amazing. It's shaping up to be some of the best material we've ever written. Something feels really special about this entire process. It's hard to say what it sounds like so far because I don't think you really know what your record is going to be until it's completely done, and we're far from that. It's definitely a bit more rockin’ and even more epic- sounding than anything we've done. All the dual leads and heavy grooves are intact, but it's got a new feel to it, and I'm sure we will surprise people again. We refuse to repeat ourselves and become a formulaic band."More...
