Denmark's drums/bass duo Fossils is ready to provide meaty sophomore LP, "Flesh Hammer," this coming Monday, March 3rd.
Now the entire album has been carved up and served over. Get a taste below, courtesy of No Clean Singing. The following press release was also issued about upcoming recording release shows:
"The release of 'Flesh Hammer' will be celebrated with two Danish release shows, at Radar in Aarhus on February 28th and at Beta in Copenhagen, on March 1st. In the unconventional spirit of Fossils, these will not simply be typical release shows with the usual canapés and support bands, but instead an overload of awesome musical guests will be involved in each of the performances, not at least at the Aarhus gig where the program is quite overwhelming.
"Aarhus will see the resurrection of Fossils' old band, the local high-octane rock n' roll heroes, Studson playing a sweet set of oldies but goodies. Then Fossils will mutate into their own doom version, Slissof, covering an old Cola Freaks-classic with several guests from Cola Freaks, Rising and Studson. Hereafter, Fossils will perform Flesh Hammer from beginning to end, and finally the dynamic duo concludes the show when joined by numerous vocalists such as Jacob Bredahl (The Kandidate, ex-HateSphere) and Kim Kix (Powersolo) who will interpret various Fossils compositions from earlier releases. In Copenhagen Fossils will play a more straight-up set and special guests will be the aforementioned Studson and new local rock outfit, Weak."

“This was the last song we wrote for the record,” bassist Bradley Riggs tells AP. “We had a few extra days at the beginning of our recording session and basically just locked ourselves in the A room and cranked out what I think is the most fun and unique song on the album. It funnels weird influences at times such as U2, the Peppers, Rage, and even a bit of Paramore (bass-wise). We're all really happy how it turned out!”
After releasing a music video for the track "Thrvst," Plebeian Grandstand has now posted another song online from upcoming album "Lowgazers." Check out "Endless Craving" below.

Yesterday drummer Gus Rios announced he was parting ways with Malevolent Creation. A statement went up on the band's Facebook page that day, which was quickly taken down after strong backlash from the fanbase over the derogatory nature of the post. Now the band has issued the following comments about the matter:
"The decision to replace our now x drummer Gus Rios has been in the works for the last 6 month's. The decision became final after the recording of our new album and the cancellation of our show in Chicago January 25th, 2014 after our drummer Gus contacted the promoter and changed our flight's to Chicago from early Friday the 24th to the day of the show on the 25th. Without telling anyone in the band until a week before the show. That resulted in a huge problem within the band and ultimately our flights to Chicago were cancelled that Saturday, January 25th due to an ice storm coming through Chicago that afternoon.
"That day we decided we were firing Gus from the band and contacted our former and now new drummer Justin Dipinto who played with and recorded the Malevolent Creation album 'The Will To Kill' in 2002. There have been to many problems with Gus since he began filling in as our drummer in 2009 to mention, but the fact that he recorded/programmed/edited the drum parts on our last 2 recordings was really the final nail in the coffin.
"We have recorded many albums since 1990 and they were all recorded as a band playing with a drummer live in the studio until the drums were perfect for each song. This is now our 2nd recording that nobody was present for when the drums were recorded and on our newest album 'The Path Of Malevolence' Chapter 1 I had to record my guitar to a click track and then Gus recorded/programmed and edited his drum tracks to the music. Anyone who has been playing music as long as we have knows a real band does not record like that. And the fake sounding and edited kick drums are something we have avoided all these years until Gus entered the picture. More...

Florida exploratory death metal act Orbweaver recently waged audio Armageddon upon the U.S. kicking off a twenty-date run of live takeovers alongside Shroud Eater. Relays guitar demoness, Sally Gates, from the van"
"The 'Wintour' has been excellent so far. We've had a great response at all the shows and some very generous hospitality. A couple of highlights from the road including stopping in New Orleans in the lead up to Mardi Gras. We had a massive sci-fi-themed parade go right past the venue. There were even Dr. Who costumes and floats! We also had an archery challenge in Pensacola -- New Zealand vs Colombia vs USA. Scores are still being debated...It's great to be on the road with our good friends Shroud Eater, and the bonus of touring in the Winter is that the van still smells fresh! Thanks to everyone who's come out to our shows so far, and hope to see the rest of you on the road!"

The experimental death metal perpetrators in New York City's Pyrrhon (pronounced peer-on) are pleased to soil ears with the title track from their forthcoming new long player, "The Mother Of Virtues," due out April 1st. Give it a listen below, courtesy of MetalSucks.net.
Comments vocalist Doug Moore of the title track: "I've seen some people say that we aren't 'really' a death metal band, and this song is pretty good evidence in favor of that claim. It's also one of the more ambitious songs we've ever recorded, structurally speaking. Good luck."
The album was recorded by Ryan Jones (Today Is The Day, Mutilation Rites) and mastered by Colin Marston (Gorguts, Krallice). More...

Legendary German thrashers Holy Moses will release the new album "Redefined Mayhem" in Scandinavia on April 23rd, in Germany on April 25th, in Europe on April 28th and in the USA on April 29th through SPV/Steamhammer. The album will be available as a standard CD, double gatefold LP with colored vinyl plus bonus track and the CD in a cardboard sleeve and as download (CD and LP have different covers).
"Redefined Mayhem" is a prime example of an album, which expertly blends past and present. "Holy Moses have never released standard thrash songs, and we never will," Sabina Classen explains with some pride. "We write songs which we like ourselves and don't compromise in terms of trends and concessions to wrong expectations. We don't have to please everybody, we're our own brand, we have our own sound, which includes the occasional odd beat, technically demanding passages and unusual chord structures as well as interesting lyrics which deal with the dark side of people and their minds."
In 2014, Holy Moses doesn't show any symptoms of fatigue mainly due to the perfect balance consisting of founder members and musicians who have played in other groups: vocalist Sabina Classen has been the voice and face of HOLY MOSES since 1981, bassist Thomas Neitsch has been in the band for six years, drummer Gerd Lücking joined the fold three years ago, and guitarist Peter Geltat was enlisted in 2012, supporting his colleagues immediately in a number of successful shows such as the Barge To Hell Cruise 2012. The current line-up is ready to face new challenges in a permanently evolving metal genre. "This is Holy Moses, mark 2014, and 'Redefined Mayhem' defines a new chapter of our band history," explains Sabina Classen, adding: "We had to redefine ourselves as a band and gel as a team. There were people who voiced their doubts that it would work. But the new songs prove beyond all doubt that HOLY MOSES continue to be a force to be reckoned with."
Fans of the band can look forward to a contemporary thrash metal oeuvre, which reflects the band members' influence while skilfully forging an arch to the group's successful past with classics such as "Finished With The Dogs" (1987) and "The New Machine Of Liechtenstein" (1989). Classen commented: "It's still first-rate thrash metal, fast-paced and powerful, chaotic at times but with a modern touch and amazingly multi-faceted guitars and drums."

Triptykon's upcoming sophomore full-length album, "Melana Chasmata" will be released on April 14th (Europe) and April 15th (North America) through Century Media Records. Tom Gabriel Warrior has now issued the following statement however about not endorsing one edition of the release:
"The box set with extra items, limited to an edition of 2000, contains the mediabook edition of the album. It is not a Triptykon product, however, but a Century Media idea (much like the 10" box is a Nuclear Blast-only edition). I strongly dislike the CM box, and it is my personal recommendation to Triptykon's fans not to purchase it.
"CM have licensed the rights for the album and can thus market it as they wish, but that doesn't mean there are merits in such a limited edition venture. I personally feel it is in bad taste and does not represent Triptykon. All items which are officially issued by Triptykon (i.e., the mediabook CD, the pendant, and the tote bag) will be available separately through the usual outlets, so there is no need to support such a cheap and ill-fitting marekting venture." Italian death metal troupe Bloodtruth is pleased to join Unique Leader Records' expanding realm of extreme bands. The following press release was also issued about Bloodtruth:
"Initially forged in 2009 as the side project of Fleshgod Apocalypse members Francesco Paoli and Paolo Rossi, and now featuring the updated lineup of vocalist Luigi Valenti, guitarist Stefano Rossi Ciucci, bassist Riccardo Rogari and drummer Giacomo Torti, Bloodtruthheave forth a sonic fire ball of speed, brutality and unadulterated hate. Fusing the cryptic atmosphere of early '90s death metal, evocative Gregorian chant representing the band's homeland and history and methodical technicality, Bloodtruth are ceaseless in their ear-lacerating capabilities.
"Following the release of a two-track promo in 2012, the band joined Unique Leader for the release of their debut full-length, slated to drop later this year. Titled Obedience, the ten-track behemoth was engineered by Francesco Paoli and Cristiano Trionfera (both of Fleshgod Apocalypse) at Sonic Hammer Studios, mixed and mastered by the Italian sound sorcerer Stefano Morabito (Hour Of Penance, Eyeconoclast, Unfathomable Ruination, Inherit Disease, etc...) at 16th Cellars Studios and bears the sinister artwork of Colin Marks of Rain Song Design (Exodus, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Kataklysm)."
Further Bloodtruth intel, including release dates and teaser tracks, is to be revealed in the coming weeks.

You can listen to the new song "Cradle Of Heroes" below.
The band has now also introduced new bassist Daniel Perl. Shortly before the recording of the upcoming album "Ocean Blade," former bassist Oliver Karasch decided to leave Gloryful Oliver stated:
"Due to personal reasons, I can't fulfill the role as bassist of Gloryful anymore. It was a great time and I will always cherish the memories of great shows and the best company anyone could imagine. This has been the best band I ever played in and I'm glad that a good replacement could be found, otherwise I wouldn't have left."
Daniel Perl comments about his new role as Gloryful's bassist: "Working his artilleristic instrument, he had flattened the ground - besides his band members - for the infantristic sound to take over.
As this good man has taken a back seat, it was my call to enter the band. With great pleasure and honor I'm taking the task that has been Oliver's since the start of Gloryful. Locked and loaded and ready to rumble in the name of heavy metal, let the war begin!" More...
