Mercenary has commented on their MySpace about their upcoming Danish "Execution Tour," which kicks off tomorrow (February 27) at Sønderborghus in Sønderborg.
"Well, it's the day before our Danish 'Execution Tour' starts with fellow Danish metallers Submission, and we're psyched! The last couple of weeks have been spent rehearsing new and old songs for the set, so there's some old stuff as well as a song from 'Architect of Lies' we've never played live before (hardcore fans should be able to figure that one out.)
"Furthermore, we felt we owed it to the fans to up our game a bit, so last weekend we had a production-rehearsal (All Sunday, from early morning - how's that for dedication?). We borrowed a local venue (a big thank-you to Studenterhuset) and put up all our gear and some lights we've rented for the tour - and it looked absolutely cool as fuck! We've got a wall of guitarstacks and some huge basscabinets lined up to blow everything away, a really intense and quite special light setup and some small really cool details and gimmicks. Of course we also rehearsed the songs one final time to go over some microscopic details, shouted to our light-engineer that he should get his act together and changed a few arrangements in the songs in the very last minute. (Hell, we might as well admit that we even practiced a few nifty synchronized moves on stage ... now, how metal is that? The review who once called us 'a deathmetal boygroup' actually turned out to be spot on ...)
"Finally, we've also made a few new shirt designs (a new one based on the AoL coverart, and a limited tour-shirt) which will shortly be available in our webshop and on the tour of course.
"All in all, this could very well be the coolest string of Danish shows we've ever done - so the question you all gotta ask yourself is whether you dare to miss out?"

Tim Finan from Telegraph.co.uk is reporting:
A court in Brittany heard yesterday how four members of a fanatical black metal anti-Christian sect went on alcohol fuelled rampages smashing ancient granite crosses in cemeteries and torching a 16th century chapel classified as an ancient monument.
With a satanic bible in the boot of their car and using a tourist guide to pilgrimage sites they selected holy places of worship where they claimed Catholic saints had raised ancient Celtic pagan monuments replacing them with Christian churches and chapels.
They scrawled satanic symbols and inverted crosses on premises they defiled - all in the name of their sect, True Armorik Black Metal.
The Court heard how two of the group all aged in their twenties were members of a black metal music group, the words in their songs glorified Hitler as the new anti-Christ and invoked scenes from The Silence Of The Lambs.
In Court in Quimper the defendants all from western Brittany, denied worshipping Satan and having adulated Hitler and the Nazi Party.
An "orgy of profanity" culminated on the night of June 15th, 2007 when the four set fire to the ancient Chapel of the Cross near Loqueffret, a granite Chapel situated in the depths of the Huelgoat Forest. They broke into the Chapel and torched ancient oak pews and closets using petrol from a plastic can.

In an official press release, Faith No More has announced the lineup for their reunion tour. You can check out the press release below.
"Faith No More has always stood out as some sort of unique beast; part dog, part cat - its music almost as schizophrenic as the personalities of its members. When it all worked, it worked really well, even if the chemistry was always volatile. Throughout our 17years of existence, the mental and physical energy required to sustain this creature was considerable and relentless. Though amicable enough, when we finally split, we all followed paths seemingly destined to opposite ends of the universe.
"Yet during the entire 10 years that have passed since our decision to break up we've experienced constant rumors and requests from fans and promoters alike. Nevertheless, for whatever reason, none of us kept in regular touch, much less to discuss any possibilities of getting together.
"What's changed is that this year, for the first time, we've all decided to sit down together and talk about it. And what we've discovered is that time has afforded us enough distance to look back on our years together through a clearer lens and made us realize that through all the hard work, the music still sounds good, and we are beginning to appreciate the fact that we might have actually done something right. This will be our first video from our new album, The Absence, and we can't wait to share it with you guys... it was filmed by David Brodsky of My Good Eye music videos. Check him out here and watch some other videos he's done...
"We filmed the video right here in Wisconsin, in a small town not too far from Madison, called Monroe. They had a performance center called the Monroe Arts Center, which used to be a church, but now is used for concerts. They were kind enough to let us shoot there and the video is going to be absolutely epic. Lots of Stained glass windows and a wide open space are going to make this video look very cool. It was a very unlikely place to shoot a metal video but it worked out great..."

Sheffield, England based young thrash metal band Evile are currently working on the follow up to their 2007 debut album, "Enter The Grave." Evile guitarist Ol Drake has checked in with the following update:
"We're very glad to announce we'll be working with the brilliant Russ Russell on the next release at Parlour Studios, UK. Russ has produced excellent work with bands such as NAPALM DEATH, DIMMU BORGIR, THE EXPLOITED and many more. We've known Russ for a few years now. We first met him in London at one of our shows where he expressed how much he'd like to work with us sometime, and that time has come. I believe Russ can bring us a very interesting sound and approach to the new material which we're writing. Expect a very crushing and interesting album! The cover art will also be very crushing and interesting! Definitely one for vinyl!
"We've been working non-stop on the new Evile material since before the MEGADETH tour last February. We're even into the demo process of the new album. Just last weekend we recorded the first 3 demo tracks we completed first. Looking back on what we've been writing, it's surprising how diverse and different the material has got since starting on the first "album 2" song. Don't worry, it's thrash, we're just trying to use our brains more than our 'ripped jeans'."

This studio is created in the buildings of a still working farm of the Rappula family; who are farming there since 1577.
