Kemado Records has finalized the lineup for its 2011 SXSW showcase. Thursday, March 17, at Valhalla in Austin, TX, Kemado "summons a night of thunderous, space-travelling sounds, promising more steel, sludge, and psych than any other show at the festival." The full details follow:

Drummer Tommy Clufetos, who has previously performed alongside Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper, is currently on the road handling drumming duties for Ozzy Osbourne. While taking a break from bringing the new album "Scream" to the masses, Clufetos spoke with me about how he managed to land a gig with Ozzy and what the band will be doing in the coming months. Tommy also hinted at the possibility of another upcoming studio album and explained his own personal history with drumming. More...
Vocalist /guitarist David Sanchez of Denver thrash act Havok, which is currently pillaging the lands on tour with Florida death metallers Malevolent Creation, has checked in from the road with the following update: "Tour is getting better and better! Havok's new album "Time Is Up" is slated for a March 29th street date via Candlelight Records. You can listen to a new song from the album, titled "Scumbag in Disguise," at this location, or read our recent interview with Havok here.
Born of Osiris is gearing up to release the new album "The Discovery" on March 22nd, 2011. The band will also be embarking on the third annual "Atticus Metal" tour as co-headliners with Darkest Hour. The bill is rounded out with As Blood Runs Black and The Human Abstract.
Lee McKinney (guitars) states: “The European run was a blast. We met some amazing people, not only in the bands we toured with and met for the first time (Protest The Hero, Purified in Blood), but also the fans that came to see us. It was also great being over there with Darkest Hour. We've known those guys for a long time, so it was almost like a vacation with friends. Being our second time in Europe, we got to witness first hand how our fan base overseas grew, and thats always awesome to see.
“Now we get to hit the U.S. again with Darkest Hour on the Atticus Tour! This should be a blast. We are releasing our new CD on this tour and are now going to be playing a good amount of new material live. We haven't toured the states in a few months, so we are excited to head back out with new material and see how it goes. This tour will be a great time, so come out and don't forget to come say hi to us at the merch table.”

Long Island, NY hardcore/metal band The World We Knew has inked a deal with record label Blkheart Group for the band's upcoming album, which is slated for a Summer 2011 release.
The band has announced a handful of tours including dates with It Prevails, Farewell To Freeway, Betrayal, and an appearance at this year’s New England Metal and Hardcore Fest in Worcester, MA. A listing of The World We Knew's upcoming tour dates are available at this location.

Emmure has announced that the band's new album "Speaker of the Dead" debuted at #65 on the Billboard Top 200 chart with over 10K scanned. This also marks the band's highest first week sales yet.
You can catch Emmure on the “Reckless and Relentless” tour alongside Asking Alexandria, Chiodos, Miss May I, Evergreen Terrace, and Lower Than Atlantis this March/April. The tour kicks off on March 11th in New Jersey at The Starland Ballroom and be sure to head over to this location to view the band's complete tour itinerary.

South Australian thrashers Truth Corroded will be performing Thailand and Singapore as part of the bands first run of dates for "Touring the Bled." The band will play Bangkok, Thailand at the Immortal Bar on April 22nd, and Singapore at Scape on April 23rd. The South East Asia dates will follow the bands tour of Australia and Japan with French band Hypno5e.
The tour will be promoting Truth Corroded's new album "Worship the Bled," which will be released in Australia in mid-April through Truth Inc. Records, with other territories to follow. A new song from the album titled "Pride of Demise" is currently streaming online at this location with another new song "Hunt All Heroes" to be available February 25th. The new album features Kevin Talley on session drums and was mixed and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren at Black Lounge Studio in Sweden.

Holocausto Canibal has issued the following announcement about recording a new album:
"After centuries of delay, Portuguese grind legends Holocausto Canibal will finally start the recording process of their long awaited 4th full length, titled: Gorefilia [the first album to be released through Metal Age].
"As you probably can guess, this concept album involves sexual arousal and gratification towards sexual behavior that is atypical and extreme. As always you can expect self-torture, bizarre love and loads of sperm tainted with blood.
"Musically some big changes are expected, however the band is still commited to Death Metal and Grind. The recording process will happen at 213 Studios [Heavenwood, Grunt] and handled by Bruno Silva. Mix and Mastering process will take place at Hertz Studios [Behemoth, Vader, Dead Infection, Decapitated, Severe Torture]. Gorefilia will feature some special guests, to be announced soon! Grind on!"
Brazilian act Lords of Aesir has issued the following announcement about the band returning from hiatus with a new lineup and posting a new preview track online:

Nervecell has issued the following announcement about Karl Sanders of Nile making a guest appearance on the band's upcoming album:

"This particular song is special to the band as it will mark the first extreme metal track ever to include both Arabic lyrics mixed in with English lyrics, and who better else to have come on board and collaborate on this theme with us than the legendary Karl Sanders!
"The word 'Shunq' in Arabic has two meanings: to choke or to be hung by the neck. Greek act Tardive Dyskinesia has issued the following brief announcement about finishing the pre-production for nine new songs to appear on an upcoming release:

Finnish metal act Children of Bodom previously announced the band's new album "Relentless Reckless Forever" which is set for release in North American on March 8th, 2011. The band has now announced the following tour dates in other territories:

German technical death metal act Obscura is set to release the new album "Omnivium" on March 29th, 2011 through Relapse Records. The band has now teamed up with metalinjection.net to stream a new song online from the album. You can check out the new track "Vortex Omnivium" by navigating to this location.

Car Bomb vocalist Michael Dafferner will premiere his independent film "[why_you_do_this]" next week at the Queens World Film Festival. This world premiere will be on Friday, March 4th at 7:00pm EST at The Renaissance Auditorium (81st Street & 37th Ave) in Jackson Heights, NY. "[why_you_do_this]" is a feature-length documentary about money, touring, and technical metal. The film features interviews with members of LAMB OF GOD, GOJIRA, GOATWHORE, CHARRED WALLS OF THE DAMNED, THE CHARIOT, BELLA MORTE, LAST CHANCE TO REASON and CAR BOMB. Relapse Records has issued the following announcement about seeking Death's "Individual Thought Patterns" EP for an upcoming re-issue:

Revoker's new album "Revenge for the Ruthless" will be released via Roadrunner Records on May 2nd, 2011. The band has now issued the following announcement about releasing a new single from the album:

Hey firstly we would like to say a huge thank you to Skindred and their crew for looking after us last week (you guys rule!) and a huge thank you to everyone who showed up early to the Rob Zombie shows and watched us play! Haemorrhage has completed work on the band's new full-length album and follow-up to 2006’s "Apology For Pathology." The new album, titled "Hospital Carnage," is set for a May 24th North American release date (May 30th internationally). "Hospital Carnage" will be available on CD, LP and digitally.
The album art, as designed by the band’s guitarist / vocalist Luisma, can also be viewed online here. The band recorded "Hospital Carnage" at VRS Studios with Samuel Ruiz. The album was mastered by Scott Hull at Visceral Sound.
Advance song titled include “Traumaggedon," “Fomite Fetish," “Hospital Thieves," “Hypochondriac,” Necronatology,” and “Tumour Doner." Haemmorhage also recently shot a video for “Traumaggedon" and a premiere date will be announced shortly.
Norwegian progressive act Ulver has announced that the band will be changing the title of its forthcoming studio album. The new release, which was previously titled "Critical Geography," has now been given the name of "Wars Of The Roses." The first single from "War of the Roses," titled "February MMX," can be streamed in the player below.
Progressive hard rock veterans Uriah Heep have revealed the tracklisting for its upcoming new studio album. The album, titled "Into the Wild," is set for release on May 3, 2011 in North America through Frontiers Records. You can view the tracklisting for the album below:

Australian act Astral Winter has posted a teaser trailer for the band's upcoming album "Winter Enthroned," which can be viewed below. The band also commented on the clip:
"I've just uploaded a 6 minute to youtube which has a short preview of all 9 songs on the upcoming album Winter Enthroned. These songs don't represent the final product as there is still much more mixing and some instrument recording to do.

Tokyo Blade has issued the following announcement about postponing the band's tour rehearsals due to guitarist Andy Boulton suffering an eagle-induced injury:
"Tokyo Blade forced to postpone rehearsals for their upcoming tour as Andy Boulton a keen falconer (seen pictured here with an American Harris hawk) has badly damaged his hand after an incident with a Golden Eagle. Andy said 'the Eagle flew to me hand as usual, but when she gripped my hand her talons went straight through the gauntlet and completely through my bloody left hand! When an eagle grips it locks it's talons and there is no way of releasing it until the bird decides to let go. Not wanting to hurt her I just had to wait.'
"A quick trip to hospital and several stitches later Andy laughed and said 'it was my own stupid fault, I had the wrong gauntlet for an eagle but it won't stop me flying my birds... I love it.'
"Sadly Andy isn't ambidextrous so the band will carry on without him until he's fixed. Such a shame for a very TALON-ted band Groan!"

Canada's Korpius has issued the following announcement about streaming a sample online from the band's new album:
"We just posted a new sample from the upcoming album 'Shades of Black' on Reverbnation. The album drops April 4th on Maple Metal Records and this new sample comes from the last song of the album.

As part of the Swiss edition of the renowned Inferno Festival, held in Lausanne, Switzerland from February 25 to 27, 2011, Triptykon singer/guitarist Tom Gabriel Warrior has been invited to publicly exhibit his "Antecedent Death" death mask project for the very first time. Warrior commented on the exhibit:
"A natural extension of Warrior’s past and present endeavors, 'Antecedent Death' was begun in earnest In early 2007. Based on ideas originally explored during his youth, Warrior casts and adorns each life-size concrete death mask individually by hand. The resulting, highly acclaimed pieces have, in the meantime, become part of numerous private collections across the globe.
"The exhibition was co-curated by Sandra Henny. It will be open every day (except Sunday) until March 5, 2011. The exhibition takes place at Uniquement Vôtre, virtually next door to the official festival venue Les Docks, in Lausanne, Switzerland. The path from Les Docks to the exhibition is marked."

The organisers of the United Kingdom's Download Festival has announced that a further sixteen bands have been confirmed for the event, including such big names as Disturbed, Black Stone Cherry and Cheap Trick, along with Bring Me The Horizon, Sacred Mother Tongue, All That Remains, Bowling For Soup, Devil Wears Prada, Turisas, Frank Turner, Asking Alexandria, Straight Line Stitch, Madina Lake, The King Blues, Ghost and Jameson Raid.
