COPRO RECORDS have announced the signing of fast-rising UK metallers I-DEF-I. Their debut full length album, entitled 'In The Light Of A New Day' will be released Worldwide on Apr 9th 2007.
Hailing from Manchester I-DEF-I look set to continue their rise from the UK metal underground in 2007. A ground breaking 2006 saw the band release critically acclaimed debut mini album 'Bloodlust Casualty', amass over 35,000 friends on myspace.com, support Breed77 on their 'Trial By Blood' tour, undertake 2 UK headline tours, open the Myspace/Gibson Stage at Download Festival'06 and have track 'Devil In The Vein' featured on Gut Records/Kerrang! Magazine 'New Breed' Compilation CD. Having previously also shared the stage with Killing Joke, Fear Factory, Stone Sour, Mindless Self Indulgence, Skindred and Dry Kill Logic as-well as recording a Maida Vale Live Session for the Radio One Rock Show, thing's are shaping up strongly for the release of the band's debut full length in April.
Previously home to the likes of earthtone9 and Vacant Stare, Copro is the larger parent label of Casket Music whom the band developed a close and succesful working relationship with during the release of last years 'Bloodlust Casualty' mini album.
"In The Light Of A New Day" also marks the recording debut with the band of newly appointed drummer Carl Sharrocks and closing track 'Broken Glass' features a guest apperance by friend of the band Lee Woodvine AKA DJ Woody a 2-time VESTAX World champion, who is one of Britains most respected hip hop dj's and arguably one of the most innovative and musical turntablists of his generation.
Details of UK live dates running from late April into early May will be announced soon along with pre-order info for the record.

In what seems more like a viral marketing ploy, a third MP3 from Nine Inch Nails' upcoming "Year Zero" CD has been "leaked" onto the internet. You can download MP3s of "Survivalism," "Me, I'm Not" and "My Violent Heart" from this site.
The new nine inch nails single 'Survivalism' is now playing on radio stations nationwide and you can listen to it on the NIN MySpace page, along with another track from year zero: 'My Violent Heart.'

Pitchfork Media have posted an MP3 of Chicago-based instrumental metalists Pelican's seven-minute title track from their upcoming full length, "City Of Echoes." You can download the MP3 here.

Up and coming UK rockers RISE TO ADDICTION have announced details of high profile European tour in May and June. The band have been confirmed as special guests for legendary Chicago doomsters TROUBLE on their forthcoming 'Simple Mind Condition European Tour.'

The band Leigh Oates (vocals), John Slater (guitar), Steve Wray (guitar), Joel Graham (bass guitar) and Aynsley Dickinson (drums) recently signed a worldwide deal with legendary Belgium metal label MAUSOLEUM RECORDS. The bands' debut album 'A New Shade Of Black For The Soul, was produced by Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, TRIVIUM, MEGADETH) and is scheduled for release in May.
RISE TO ADDICTION, whose music is described as a distinctive modern sound with melody and slab heavy riffing, released its self-titled EP in 2005 through Madman Records. Also produced by Andy Sneap, it features three tracks — "Falling As One", "Everlasting Wave", "To A God Unknown" — and also includes the promo video for the EP's opening track. Swedish thrashers CARNAL FORGE have finalized the track listing for their sixth album, "Testify for My Victims", due in May via Candlelight Records. The follow-up to 2004's "Aren't You Dead Yet?" was recorded, mixed and mastered over a four-and-a-half-month period and was produced by CARNAL FORGE.

"Testify For My Victims" was mixed at Black Lounge Studios. Two videos have already been filmed for the album tracks "Numb" and "Burning Eden", both directed by Owe Lingvall (Village Road Film).
Bassist Lars Linden recently stated, "We have an utterly brillant peace of work soon to be released. We are all very satisfied how the songs have turned out and are very confident in the new more varied material. It will mean some change for you who have heard the previous albums, but hopefully you find it for the better. We for sure do and we are all very eager to get the new material out to the audience and to get out on tour again."

1349 released its third studio album, "Hellfire", in the U.S. in October 2005 via Candlelight Records. Recorded at Studio Studio in Nyhagen, Norway, "Hellfire" was supported by a North American tour with Swiss avant-garde metal pioneers CELTIC FROST.
Chicago based metal outfit INOCULA will enter the studio next month with their new vocalist to record their debut album. INOCULA will support the album with a tour late June through July with several one off and festival shows in May. You can check out some of their past material on their MySpace page.
Cleveland thrashers SKELETONWITCH have officially inked a deal with Prosthetic Records. Fresh off self-releasing the 'Worship The Witch' EP, the band will now join the Prosthetic roster having already shared stage with the likes of High On Fire, Bleeding Through, Overkill and labelmates KYLESA earlier this month.
Tentatively scheduled for a fall 2007, the forthcoming SKELETONWITCH release will be produced by Cory Smoot (Municipal Waste, GWAR) in June and comes off the heels of a previous full-length and an EP in addition to persistent touring. The band, regarding their sound, declares, "Imagine a young Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Exodus slamming beers and cranking up Immortal records at a rager in 1985. Just when you think the keg is killed, Judas Priest joins the party with a fresh case of beer."

There is a new live performance video of Goatwhore playing their track "The Serpent That Enslaves What Is Worshipped From Funeral Dirge For The Rotting Sun" available for viewing at the Underground Video Television website. The footage was filmed at Magic City Music Hall in Binghamton NY last November during their tour with Celtic Frost.
